Meaning, if you can continually walk in the Spirit, you will drained the sinful energy of the flesh, and won't have the fortitude to attend to its cravings - including masturbation and pornography.

So, how do you walk in the Spirit? The first step is to embrace Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Anywhere you are, talk to Him and tell Him "LORD JESUS, I need You." He will come. Additionally, build a daily system that makes you occupied with the LORD, including spiritual activities like studying and meditating on scriptures, praying (particularly praying in the Holy Ghost), fellowshiping with fellow believers, etc.

2. Treat It As Spiritual Warfare—Not Just A Habit

Addiction to pornography and masturbation is more than a bad habit. It is a spiritual attack aimed at distorting God's design for purity, intimacy, and identity. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, “*For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against...spiritual wickedness in high places.*” Approach this struggle as warfare. Put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:13-18), especially the helmet of salvation to protect your thoughts.

3. Fast From More Than Food

Fasting isn’t limited to food. Fast from Instagram, Netflix, YouTube, or even certain types of music that trigger lustful thoughts. Romans 13:14 instructs us to “*make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.*” If a certain activity fuels temptation, take a break from it. Create an atmosphere that feeds your spirit—not your flesh.

4. Write a Purity Covenant Letter to God

This is a powerful spiritual act. Write a personal letter to God stating your desire to walk in purity, why you’re choosing to flee sexual sin, and the future you believe He has for you. Keep it somewhere visible. It serves as a constant reminder of your commitment and identity in Christ.
