immortalcrown: Make your choice based on the structure and the reputation of each of the three organisations that promised you employment. Don't based your decision on the starting salary in each of the organisations. The starting salary does not guarantee a fair raise and does not add any honour to your CV in future. But the structure and the reputation of your employer can guarantee a fair raise, give you growth opportunities and will mean a lot in your CV in future.
But if the organisations are the same in terms of reputation and structure, a bird in hand worths two in the bush, meaning you should grab the 70k abi 75k job you have already secured. Wow, thanks for this. |

Anonymourse: How do you think a jobless man can survive this country Day by day things become more difficult I opened this moniker to be posting my transition of how I achieve all my heart desires but I'm not interested in any goal or anything again
This country is the hell they are talking about in the bible
This country is a dream killer I've taken a lot of risks so as to achieve success legitimately but despite all the hard work na hard knock we dey collect
I was looking for every means to get a micra to start using for transportation but which work will I use to generate the money to get one A friend of mine has run mad now as a result of drug abuse due to frustration of not getting a job
Another friend of mine is also about to commit suicide Immediately I hear wailing in his place I will do my own immediately
I'm not seeking help but just trying to tell you that in this present economy a lot of youth will die
Do us the justice of not voting polithiefians You are killing us with your choices You are destroying people's lives
If you are in my shoe you would have committed suicide 3 years ago but as a strong man I pushed till this time
Man is fucking scared but if my gee just find a way to commit the courage to end it will come I've never smoked before but I will make sure to smoke and get really high before ending it My bro ask people who have committed sucide how it's going with them. Some of them get tormented to the core when they reach that side. I understand your pain, Nigerian politicians are dream killers , we all have all it takes to cater for citizens of this country but everyone wants to steal in the available position he or she has. Take example from Betta Edu. The highest I can do If I'm overly depressed is go back and smoke weed without doing drugs. Drugs is the one that makes people finally go mad when it mixes with your blood on a steady and gets to the brain. |

Duyt1798: Hi guys!
I hope this my post gets to the FP, so I can get insights from a wider audience; even I know some might not make sense, but one thing I've learnt from the short time I joined this platform, is that - sense dey inside nonsense.
Pardon me, my write fit dey a bit lengthy.
I currently work with a multi-national startup coy. My net pay is a bit above 400k naira (this's at the moment), I've worked for about 2 years. I'm married with two kids and expecting the third.
Now my dilemma is that, I've not been able to save up funds, I feel like my living condition doesn't reflect what I earn. Shingbai like this, I no get for account. The last I could remember, I go deep hand for forex, e nearly give me hypertension (I lost about 2m). I still dey pay debt wey I incur as a result.
Now where I need assistance is, looking at the amount I'm earning, how do I spend? Please for those that will be kind enough to give suggestions, let it practically explained, as in help me break am down to the amount wey I suppose spend, how I suppose spend am, and wetin I suppose save.
I believe say many family people dey here wey get better experiences.
Thanks 🙏. Call your wife, sit together and plan this well.a Buy foodstuff in plenty quantity. Make budget for the most crucial needs, have a plan b for a side hustle especially if your wifey isn't working, even if it's buying and selling food stuffs , save and get a land if you are still a tenant, reduce spending on expenses that are not needed e.g subscribing dstv for 30k when you know you only watch few channels or don't even have time to watch, plan for your retirement because the 400k won't be there any longer and you will face life with the 4 people under you. Don't spend money on unnecessary things. Watch what you spend for on a daily. You can save money for meal while your wife cooks for you to take to work. With the woman by you, you will be able to understand and plan out things sucessfully. Don't hide anything from her. That's why you guys got married. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: JOBLESSNESS - Giving Up On Tech - Whats Your Take This 2024 by captaininiobong(m): 8:32pm On Jan 10, 2024 |
samuelson06: No wahala bro. I only wish the young man would take it and run with his life.
Usually, I plead with young men around me to exercise a little restrain, fix themselves, and from there, they can go build a family.
All of us would have loved to finish with childbearing before we get to 40 or 42. I would've loved to do that, at least that's what is obtainable in first world countries. Even before 35, many of them are done with childbearing—two or three kids and they done. Before 40, you see their body recovering and the females will appear like they've not given birth before.
But here we are in a country that our leaders don't care about us; nothing works here. The few gains we made as a country, they've destroyed everything as we speak. Today, the once giant of Africa stands like a begger. Nigeria is practically begging for survival. As young people, and we have to understand this sad reality and adjust accordingly.
I come from a humble background so I've tasted poverty. Poverty has a sour and bitter taste. Its color is black, and once it draws you to itself, your life practically becomes like the black color, a dark night, and a nightmare. The taste of your life becomes sour and bitter, and everyone tries to distant themselves from you—not because they truly hate you, but because you have nothing to offer—nothing to offer yourself, nor your children. There and then, it becomes clear to you that your life is a waste. But you had the chance not to get here
Sometimes, I don't teach people how to lead a good life. I sit with them and talk about poverty and the moment they make up their mind to reject that demon, they become motivated to work—putting everything else aside and just fight to defeat that monster.
Being a Nigerian, I know this country so well and I know it may never change—at least, not in this generation. So, I seize every opportunity to talk to young people about ways they can fix their life independent of the support they ought to get from the government. The task may be enormous but it's surmountable. It requires patience, hardwork, consistency, focus, and determination to succeed.
You'll be wasting your time if you keep jumping from one hustle to another. It shows that you are not serious or you may be too in a hurry to make it. Let's take the poster here for example, he's invested some amount of time, money, and other resources into becoming a frontend developer and he's on his way to becoming an expert in that field. Sadly, he now feels he's been wasting his time choosing a path that doesn't work and now feels like throwing away the experience and momentum he's been gathering in the coding sphere.
If that happens, he's going to start all over again elsewhere. Meanwhile, they are people succeeding where he's running away from and all he needed was to build on what he's known already and keep forging ahead. When it comes to success, you don't do magic. You just have to find a way and keep building up the momentum and with time, even nature will bear witness with your spirit that you've done your best and it's time for you to be announced to the world.
I can keep talking and talking. There's a formula to succeeding even in a rough country like Nigeria, but you have to be serious. It's not a game of luck but hard work—putting first things first, and not giving up.
I wish all of us the best in 2024. I find this motivational. Thanks |

Iamjobless: Pls pardon all errors.
I will try and keep this short, I have an aunty who works with one of the FG parastatals but she is contemplating on resigning. Reasons being: 1) the transport fare takes more than 50% of her monthly earnings as the distance between her house and workplace is far (ikorodu to CMS) 2) due to the distance she does not have the time to take care of her children as she has to leave very early and return late at night.
Ever since she told me, I tried to convince her to just hold on as i strongly believe that the minimum payment will be reviewed soon which will address the issue of salary but she stated that my solution does not address the other challenge of negligence of children.
Please i need advice on what she can do to get to work faster amd return home faster
Also, the husband is a business man that owns a business in the CMS area, I will be in the comments.
@lalasticlala Relocate to cms that's all. Don't resign when you don't have a better job. |

They too couldn't put you on probation, rather, they outrightly told you to go home without any letter of termination of employment. Well I guess that tells much about them. That also tells much about you Is this how you adress issues by calling people you don't know before as stupid? It only tells me your level of maturity/responsibleness. You are not responsible at all. |

Thank God he paid me January salary and gave me 3 rubbers of rice. Move ahead. If you appeal for an excuse, don't beg another job is coming. Keep searching. whyteteeth: My ever charming mom has stopped looking good like she used to eversince she joined a particular church in the early part of 2021.
Prior to that time, mom was a lover of good wears. She used to wear nice jewelries to complement her dressing. Nowadays, the story is no longer the same. She has changed completely and she is now a shadow of her former self. She would not make her hair with weavon or attachment, or wear wig or makeup like she used to do. She now uses thread to plait her hair which makes her look very unlike her and very unattractive.
When I travelled home during Christmas, I nearly wept when I saw her. From her head to her toe, she was completely off. No sense of style at all. Just regular clothes and slippers even when she is going out for an event.
What do we do? The church she joined is THE LORD'S CHOSEN. And dad says she has asked her to stop attending the church but she refused. Mom is a retired nurse and she is 62 years old. I am her last child and I and my siblings are doing everything possible to make her look good. Money is not the problem. She is just simply refused to listen to anybody. Maybe it's tiring or she just like the life but don't take it personal or else you have grudges or issues with her |
