I guess what would have been good enough hint according to him was: The answers to questions 1 to 6 are D-A-B-C-A-A.

First stage:

GMAT styled numerical aptitude (word problems involving ratios, percentages, speed and so on)
GMAT styled verbal aptitude (Relationship between pairs of words. e.g: COMPUTER:: MONITOR, then some options follow)
Then some passages too to crack.
