Stop loss hit is better than not placing stop loss.

Using stop loss shows you are a professional trader.

Next challenge is find out why stop loss hit. How best to place a safe stop loss.

Tip: you can use retest strategy to measure, guage, time your entry. Though there are other strategy to use.

I'm currently working on how to deal with losses. I hardly put stop loss at d point of placing a trade cuz I'd been stopped out on several occasions during stop hunting. What I use to do was to monitor it closely until I break even, then place d stop loss. I'ld always convince myself that I'ld use a mental stop loss; but when the trade starts going against me, I'ld always hesitate, thinking it's d hunters at it again. Before u knw it, it wld be too late.

Please, bosses in the house, any suggestions on how I can deal with this cuz I don't have that luxury of time anymore...

Can I just use my Dom card directly?

I've experienced something similar, but that was when I tried it with my phone. Using a laptop/desktop makes the whole process seemless.

For everyone looking for how to fund their T212 account, bookmark this.
This is how I fund my account.
1. I use a dorm account funded with USD.
This is to avoid exchange rate issues that arises if you fund with naira account. Withdrawal of funds will also have exchange rate issues.
But with this method of depositing USD, you withdraw USD also.
2. Get a master card debit card for the USD account.
3. Register your card on googlepay.
This is very tricky.
Don't make a mistake downloading Googlepay app.
Open a normal Google web account maybe by creating a Gmail account. If you already have a Gmail account, log on via google chrome Web browser and register your USD debit card as a payment method.
4. To fund your T212 account, note that you can't do this using the T212 app.
You must have to sign into your T212 account via a Web browser and then add Gpay as a deposit option.
Having done this, you can now go ahead to make payment through the make deposit dialogue box on the T212 web browser after log in.

Follow this process and ask any further questions.
Perhaps pictorial illustrations will be made based on your questions.

It is seemless funding and withdrawing USD without the worries of being short changed due to unfavourable and non negotiable exchange rates.

Please, help a sister. I tried depositing some funds into my trading 212 account but couldn't. After inputting the amount and everything, the thing wld just be there staring at me. It has refused to redirect me to google pay. At first I thought it was due to poor network connection, but not anymore. Please I need somebody to tell me the way out of this...

U knw wat, just type in payments.google.com in ur web browser, preferably Chrome. Click on d four lines by d left and u'ld see 'payment method'. Click on it and then click on add payment method. U'ld be directed to a page where u'ld add ur card details.

Once ur card is successfully added, log in to d web version of trading 212 (live.trading212.com); click deposit and select gpay as d payment method. Then u'ld be redirected back to Google pay where u'ld confirm d payment. Hope dis helps...

Let me share my experience on a particular stock that really frustrated me for 2 month plus. Just for humour.

It was during the 1st Q earnings report season back in April 2020. Various stock were listed here on this thread by our oga for interest and asked DD to be carried out. I picked datadog then, it paid out with 20% single day profit, (post earrings) I was feeling badass pro trader, I was so excited, decided to do another due diligence analysis on another stock, I picked ROKU, hmmm, that's when trouble started. Lol.

I was so confident everything will work out. I bought Roku at 134 per share. After earnings report, the stock fell to 120 (10% down) on a single day. wow, I was like this not possible na, for the next 5 days the stock crashed to 100 per share (25% down) I was seeing double (dizzy).

I was humbled. For the next 1 month the stock was a pain in my stock profile, when the overall market is green, the yeye stock will remain in red. Well One day, the stock rose up again and recovered to 134 only for it to crash back to 100 again. For two whole month, I was in red.

See wetin my over Sabi due diligence don cause .

I still kept faith, in the 3rd months, it finally recovered and crossed 134 mark into green, I celebrated o. Within a week, it rose up to 20% green ( feeling like a pro) only for it to crash back to 5% green (arrggghh). I almost gave up but still kept faith because it had good fundamentals and it was a victim of covid 19 on its revenue.

I still have the stock in my profile, I haven't reached my target yet.

Lol... I can relate with that cuz I'm in dis exact situation. I've come to realize dat one shouldn't expect to make a huge profit in one trade. 5% profit here and there could add up to that target profit u have in mind.

It's obvious that I didn't have any clear entry and exit strategies in my previous trades. Dat's all a thing of d past nw. Once I manage to exit dis current trade, I'ld start incorporating technical indicators in my entries and exits. Most importantly, I wld try not to be greedy anymore cuz dat was my undoing!

It’s a general problem my dear, not about the bank card you’re using.
Nigeria has put a restriction on most of the naira debit cards as directed by CBN.

Just keep trying, else you’d have to do bank transfer via Dom account (which is another stress).

Alright, thanks a lot. I was thinking d restriction only limits one's spending per month. I'ld keep trying anyways....though it's frustrating

Please I need the help of those using trading 212. My account just got activated and I want to fund it via gpay. After inputting my card details in google pay website, I'ld be told that I entered incorrect card details. I've tried countless times all to no avail. Please can somebody suggest the way forward? I'm using Ecobank card...
