Not really. I feel the issue is our defense. If we get stops we will win the game.
...both....we were going under the screen initially...thn they started hitting their shots and grew more confident....if we start hitting the the outside shots, we will be able to stretch the floor more, hence more room to operate..
SportsRe: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by carbonado(m): 2:57pm On Mar 12
Ultimately not so impressive 1st half. hope we pick up the energy......not hitting the outside shots is hurting us....

Ezinne with 3 fouls, that is a problem....
SportsRe: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by carbonado(m): 2:36pm On Mar 12
I still see us winning, however, it should not be this hard....

SportsRe: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by carbonado(m): 2:22pm On Mar 12
We need to stop going under the screen....that gives the Koreans opportunity to shoot uncontested shots....

Good! It would be the first time the team would square up against a WNBA side (I stand to be corrected tho) and would be a great test ahead of September’s World Cup.
....i think so too....

Exactly! When she now wants to switch to Naija, the useless FIBA general secretary would claim that her “extensive” ties to Team USA is proof that she is ineligible to represent Nigeria 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️
Meanwhile, the “extensive ties” would most likely be invitations to Team USA’s training camps and, at best, a spot on the bench at the World Cup
That is on her, if she cant learn from the rest.....

Really do hope she doesn't end up regretting this. Taking her to this competition is simply just tying her down. The qualifiers isn't consequential as they are already qualified just like Nigeria. The only reason she's on the roster (like many others are) is cause priority players like Aja, Stewie, etc were excused.
.....Her position is stacked...Aja,Stewie....It is well..

You guys have forgotten how Ifeoluwa called him out for trying to take the position of the SuperFalcons media Officer…

Ifeoluwa was angry because a woman should take that spot instead of a man wanting to be the media Officer of the super falcons
..woow,so it is that man... everything makes sense now..

I gave u facts but u just want to argue. I will go as far as saying that the NBBF is the best federation in the country right now. We both know they don't get close to the same amount of allocated money but they still find ways to get things done..
...yeap, they are the best, that is why our teams are struggling at all levels, except for the the dtigress, from age grade all the way to the senior mens team....Offcourse the NBBF is better than NFF, that is why, Despite Afrobasket women starting as far back as 1966, the dtigress has 7titles, while the WAFCON, that started in 1998 the falcons has more titles (10 titles). Offcoure the N.B.B.F is the best federation in the Nigeria ,but they left players stranded over and over again. If you want to talk about federation doing well, you will talk about the Wrestling federation of Nigeria, the immense work done by Daniel Agali over the years was and is still felt, i am sorry, but you gave no fact....

We are talking about the NFF being the same as the NBBF. Hiring a coach was just one point.
...Oya for you, the N.B.B.F are better than the N.F.F, for me they are in the same whatsapp group.....case has finished, all rise....session over.... grin grin grin

Stop the CAP. Pep was willing to coach Brazil for free. There is nothing stopping football coaches from working for free. Plus, when u sign to coach the Super Eagles or Super Falcons u are basically agreeing to work for free grin
...Also your assessment using, only hiring a coach to judge a federation is not the best, do you know how many times in the past that the basketball league did not hold at all, i am talking early 2000s, i am not even talking about the competition , they play now, that, they call league....Atleast been paying attention to these guys for a over 2 decades..If your yardstick stick is coaching alone, then it is wrong..

....Willing to work for free, and working for free aint the same, show me one world class coach that has worked for free in football, enlighten me....maybe you know, i dont, we learn everyday....Willing and actually doing aint the same....

That's your opinion but the fact remains that they hired a world class coach.

If that doesn't work for u, look at the women's team. Otis and Rena are 2 of the best coaches on the continent right now. Who hired them? Would any African country have hired them if we didn't?
lol...stop shifting the post, we are talking about hiring a nba calibre coach..you don dey deviate....alss the brand Nigerian basketball helped the brand of both coaches, they were basically unknown before..I repeat, the N.B.B.F and N.F.F are one and the same....Simple...

The fact that they got him as their coach should tell u enough. Who cares how much he was paid? He could have paid the federation for all I care. They still got one of the best coaches in the NBA. In fact he left and went on to win a coach of the year award. Now he did get fired shortly after grin but he then got an even higher profiled job.
Mike Brown is a Pop disciple. By the team he got with GS he had already been to the NBA final as a head coach.
.......When they pay out of pocket for a world class coach, maybe we would have the discussion, until then...it counts for nothing....As i said earlier, they are one and the same...

Brother the basketball federation hired Mike Brown. Our football has not seen that level of coach in forever. Right now we have to concentrate on our grassroots because what we have is just not good enough to compete.
....the reason why the N.F.F will not hire such calibre , is because, nobody would work for free in football, Mike brown did..

....lmao..., Mike Brown worked for free....Where would the N.B.B.F get funds to pay a NBA caliber coach...Federation that owes players money like no tomorrow. We are talking about possible 10million dollars in annual salary give or take, Also Mike Brown taking that team to the olympics is what really scattered the team at our second attempt to rebuild after N.B.B.F sacked Voigt in my opinion. He brought the golden state model here, however, we did not have the tools to operate like GSW, he dropped Ike, Ben, took, the younglins that he thought could play the way he liked, however, some of the younglins disappeared when the light shinned the brightest. As i said earlier, they are one and the same as far as i am concerned. The internal fight you talk about is about money(control), plain and simple....

Our basketball federation is much better than the NFF. The issue they had was an internal fight for control.

...coming back to read this, i realized i said N.F.F as against N.B.B.F, apparently, both bodies have been a nightmare to us Nigerians, and both entities are in the same WhatsApp group...very pathetic...
