The succession plan has been activated, the younger ones are turning up, they might not make it to the world cup, but they are for the future..

Zambian coach bawo....if we are serious, we would poach the Ivory coast coach....see how fluid ivory coast is playing at the moment, he is the former coach of Morocco, he is the one that actually started their rise....

We just lost in O.T to Cameroun by 1 point,Things i did not like, we were playing press in the first and second qtr, that should not be, especially for this age grade, they will gas out, whereby towards the end of the game, their hands and feet will be very heavy.....one of the reasons they could not see out the game. In the second qtr, they(Cameroun) changed by using their big to bring the ball down, or in some cases the 2 bigs were playing two man action, because their bigs were quite long, they got to rim really quickly, we did not read this on time, we were not tracking them, hence, they closed the 8 points lead....by the last qtr, most of our girls were tired...all in all, it is a learning phase...

We lost the game 67-70. Is this how we want to play at the FIBA World Cup in Berlin 😲😲? This is why I keep pushing for at least 4 new players in the Squad. If you can't shoot very well, what is the point playing in a Nigerian Jersey ? I don't hate Blessing Ejiofor but she is not adding much value to the team 😬. At least give the ladies strong instructions and if they can't abide with the instructions, they can pack their bags and go home. We are struggling with China. We have not even played Belgium and Spain 😬😲.
....I wont be to hard on them yet, some former players did not play today...Ezinne, Amy, Nicole, Elizabeth....our shooting was not too good though....
Sports › Re: Nigeria Basketball Thread! by carbonado(m): 1:51pm On Aug 07
3rd qtr not so good, the Chinese know we cant shoot, hence, them playing zone, we need to move the ball quicker to counter that, if we cant make our shots, we need to attack them before they set up..

IKR!

There has to some sub-conscious ethnic bias when it comes to Team USA’s roster selections for the Olympics (and World Cup), because I’m yet to hear a convincing argument as to why prime Nneka Ogwumike, Arike Ogunbowale (Olympics) and now, Kiki, weren’t/aren’t good enough for those premier tournaments 🤷🏾‍♂️
...you get, especially Nneka, i think she was league M.V.P that year and still did not go for the Olympics, hence why she wanted to switch...Just Imagine this roaster, Ezinne at 1, Promise at 2, Micheala at 3,Vicky at 4, Kiki at 5, White subs in for Ezinne, Oluchi Okananwa subs in for Promise, Amy subs in for Micheala, Musa for Kiki, Pallas for Vicky, Uche and Ijiwoye as 11 and 12 man... shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked grin grin grin grin cool cool cool, pefect blend of present and future....i am in dream land.

The American roster is stacked 😮‍💨😬
....Sad that our baby girl (KIKI) choose to rep U.S at the Americup, we would have built a team around her now....Unfortunately, she might never play a world cup or Olympics with them....

Alozie dey stupid
....I get you, however, ask the coach why he does not have at least 2 left back that he believes in on the team, why his he converting her at a critical position like that.
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by carbonado(m): 9:58pm On Aug 05
Congratulations Maiduguri, a player struggles at a position but you still kept her there,at a very critical game...the question is why did you not bring a natural left back and the ones you brought why are you not using them at that position?

Wish we have somebody like this as Coach…

We already have the players but Bad Federation and not good enough Coach leading the team.

Just know that some of us are not one of those gullible nigerians that madugu brainwashed with individual brilliance wafcon
....we are in such a bad spot, even with a win, we are not guaranteed to qualify, because of head to head rule...
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by carbonado(m): 11:35am On Jul 29
Mtcheew......i am still angry.....If you still believe in this Madugu project.....you are on a long thing thing.....I doubt the man does any opponent analysis before game. Remember how we almost lost the last finals of last Wafcon due to poor selection, first half Morroco were 2 goals up...Keeps calling players that should have retired back to the team, What was Ucheibe doing on the bench yesterday, why was Nicole not on this team....This current N.F.F administration has been the worst so far.....
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by carbonado(m): 11:07pm On Jul 28
Good win for Malawi...We play like the game waits for us.....i always wonder what our technically department do....in this modern era, we still move the ball very slowly......always dressing the ball, instead of releasing your team mate immediately(pass)...A lot of our players are guilty of this, on paper the Malawians are not as skilled as us, but they move that ball very quickly.....Anyway, if they like, they should make amends, if not, no world cup...Another team to pay attention too, is Ivory coast.

I know I have misses but this is what I am talking about. So that makes it 3 wins out of 3. Job done?
....Job just started, we just moved into phase 2(round 2) and you carry over your results from phase1...the lowest team from each group are eliminated, the top 3 teams from each group moves to the next phase, that is where we are now...

We won at last 😎💪🇳🇬. Metu made the difference at the end ( 0.02 minutes). I knew Guinea won't have it easy with this squad under Fizdale. Caleb Agada was on fire today. This is why I said if you don't come and play the qualifiers, you should not be given a shirt on the final roster to the Olympics. You can only be considered for a shirt at the World Cup or Olympics 2028 if you are really exceptional at your club and your stats are great. Congrats, Dtigers. Congrats Nigeria. Well done, Coach Fizdale.
... tough game......however, we prevailed.
