All this arguments supports the reasons why Uber / taxify don't own vehicles on the system. The overhead is too much. Its better they pay just for the Tech while people bring in just their cars...

So can we now move on

Mr!

Ask question if you don't know something. Stop jumping up and down.

Carshopper is not Lagos based. He is a retired driver. An investor.

As an investor... Is it not worth it to test the water to know if it's warm or cold?

The narrative guy is back ...

We believe every bizness should/will evolve. Some of new concept pushed will not Favour a few, while others may want to term it as 'monkey dey work bamboo dey chop'. Well any which way u see it, it's STRICTLY BIZNESS my dear.

So you have been sitting at home, itching to hit the road and make some money to take care of bills, booze and all that money can buy, but no vehicle to hit the road with. BRB

Every fleet manager has to think above the norms to bring out ideas that is feasible, achieveable and sustainable. We don't just sit down and talk the talk, we also walk the work. New innovations, new agreement or as we say it WE are changing the narrative.

BRB - I Don come back, so you need a ride, Great, cus we have been cooking something.

Let's Change the narrative ... its sweet ooo (for fleet management and the investor) grin

Point of correction not all danfo drivers are illiterate. I drove danfo for two year after looking for office job but too no avail by jahs grace i will get a car for uber purpose this march. Cus I hate driving peoples car.
Point of correction, I never said danfo drivers are illiterate. Always read the context and get an understanding as to where the poster is trying to get to. Don't just jump in with a 'point of correction'.

Everyone sees this e-hailing differently, to some, earnings has to take care of particular demands / bills, etc at the home front (I did this too)

To others, it's an investment that will bring back earnings over a period of time (10months - 2years), while still having ownership to the asset and maybe selling off at a particular point, moving on to another business.

To most, it's playing around with stash they have no urgent need to use within that time frame. So they just let the cash dance around different investments and see what light is at the end of the tunnel.

Finding the reason you are going into e-hailing biz makes it easier to put a figure on ur weekly rental and have a steady run. Don't give in because u heard 'there is money to be made ', transport bizness has one of the highest losses than gains.

Build partnerships that works for every one involved. Right now I am encouraging Driver - partners on my fleet to build an 'ajoo system' within themselves. I am not in the school of thought that a Driver has to 'slave' just on ur matter... I encourage drivers to save up and move on from been driver-partner to partner-driver. Ownership brings a sense of belonging.

I am on rampage this week .... Its never about HOW MUCH u give out ur vehicle weekly nor about HOW MUCH the driver makes VS what YOU make .... Its about how consistent ur weekly payouts come VS maintenance/repairs cost VS downtimes .

We have been able to achieve a CONSISTENT payout while managing our own vehicles under strict CONDTIONS. Within years of our operation from NOV 2016 to date, we have only one car breakdown but not after the car brought in good returns.

Below is a 2010 Kia Forte on our fleet, bought in MAY 2017 and still running (pic taken in Dec 2017)

We have partnered with the right people @gazzuz @axamansard, so we know our investment MUST return in due time

Not at the risk of the lives of other road users and another man's investment.
A combination of overworked driver and car is just an accident waiting to happen.
Do you realize some danfo drivers run shifts?
I was surprised when I found out this ... now if the so-called 'illiterate' as we call them build up a shift culture, what are we 'graduates' doing?
BusinessRe: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Carshopper(m):
Its never about bragging or who does it best ... it is always about CONSISTENCY over a period of time. This we have achieved since Nov 2016.

@vulpeslopez drove one of my kia rio and over time he proved himself true and Strait. His achievements is PERFECT, we were able to manage his down times and achieved a consistent return.

Below is his output from day one to the last drop he dropped the vehicle on the 20th of Feb

Note : he was on a 38k weekly payment (5k was kept aside for emergency)

We have consistently managed our vehicles and they have work 3months or more without Major issues.

We don't just talk ... we talk with results.. Results which we have achieved by partnering with @gazzuz and also by sourcing great and smart drivers as @vulpeslopez.
