The story of a Yahoo tailor

Couple of years ago, the trend; "Yahoo boys" using #Endsars to arrest eachother anytime either of the two transacting parties run away or refuse to release the proceed they got from their fraudulent businesses kick started in Lagos.

They, by themselves, brought #endsars in as a third party into their deals, in an attempt to save guard their share of the deal. They opened those officers' eyes to the large amount of money made from this fraudulent activity. They pay them for the job out of those proceeds.

Couple of months, years later; #Endsars officials didn't wait to be invited again, they came in forcefully to collect their share from these boys. This time around, they did no work or played no part in ensuring both part are satisfied. They don't even care how you made those money, they just want to see you with "iPhone, a car or in a Uber, with dreadlocks, designers etc." And they will forcefully collect their money from you.

We even heard of them going into those boys apartment to pack their properties anytime they have information of a latest baller in town. They are always hanging around clubs, hotels etc. Where they know that all this proceeds are spent. They later had landlords, prostitute, barmen, estate security, Uber driver etc. as their informat.

Consequently those money weren't enough again. They started clampdown on anybody they see, either you are; a doctor, nurse, pastor, imam, engineer, student, teacher, security etc. In order to make this illegal money (bribe).

Subsequently, it became tantamount to legal kidnapping and payment of Ransom, it became a national matter that needed urgent policy but the government was silent about it.

All of this, we thought happened among the low rank officers, little did we know that their is no level to this thing, it runs from the top rank officers to the low rank officers. They only level is that; they price discriminate. While they charge low price (100k -990k) on the street, they charge some other high rank Yahooboys in thousands of dollars (#8m+),based on who you are contracting(yahoo tailor) and your location (Dubai).
