IGBOSON1: ^^^Please set aside your disdain for Igbos and try to fault their argument! Who told you efforts at restructuring this contraption you call a nation starts and stops with the charade that went on in the name of 'national conference'!?
Now can you refer me to anywhere that shows those that were 'sent to represent them' were selected based on some kind of democratic process? It's obvious you're not aware of all the suggestions made during the conference aimed at whittling down the federating units to a more manageable and viable level.....suggestions which were rejected by the delegates owing to vehement protestations of the core muslim north! ur pplf were aware of this , but decided to go on with d confab and called those opposed to it enemies of gej. |

"He further explained that he was elected the House’ Speaker on June 6, 2011 by members of the House, not because he was a member of the PDP, but by virtue of his being a member of the House".
Read the rest here: http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/punchng/NEWS/~3/JrHVLr63zUU/ he was right. He's a honest man. Do u think pdp wanted him there in d first place? They wanted mulikat. It was the opposition that threw their weight behind tambuwal b4 he cud become d speaker. They say put ur money where ur mouth is- that's why apc supported him and he's back to them. |

This arrogance of certain sections who believe the status-quo that favors them should remain would lead to the eventual demise of this contraption you call a country......even quicker than the boko nonsense they inadvertently created!
What is wrong in their recommendation that the country should have fewer and more viable federating units? Of course the likes of junaid muhammed would reject this because he doesn't want equity among the federating units where the South East and North West would be on the same level......the same North West that contributes near fuc/kall to the nations coffers! must ur ppl always cry after they must have done something with their sense in place? What of those they sent to represent them at the confab, they didnt do their job? Where was this grp when the confab was ongoing? I taya for this guys. |
Politics › Re: 8 Moral Questions For Speaker Tambuwal by Caseless: 9:19am On Nov 01, 2014 |
nku5: Saw this on a friend's wall on facebook u can help ur friend out by using my answers and response. nku5: 1. Which party currently have the majority of members at the Federal House of Representatives? pdp! No rule or part of constitution says a party with majority should produce the speaker. Do remember that their majority is not enough to impeach a speaker, but it can elect one in a fresh election in d to elect a new speaker for d house in any event that warrant that. nku5: 2. Do we have any precedence in Nigeria or US where the Speaker of the house is from a minority party? ume eze-oke was the speaker in the second republic and he was frm the minority party. nku5: 3. If a former Speaker joins the minority party has he automatically lost the speakership or not? No! The constitution is clear on this(refer to my answer on question one). nku5: 4. Does democracy make allowance for the minority to lead the majority? what do u call minority here; u mean minority in number or in size? I'm sure u knw a black minority is the president of USA-chosen by majority. nku5: 5. Is it morally right or proper to voluntarily leave the majority party and still keep the benefit accruing from being a member of the majority party? pdp(majority) did not support Tambuwal candidature frm d begining, they supported mulikat. Infact, they wanted to arrest him and ihedioha on d day of the election. It was the opposition party(mostly acn, cpc, accord party) and few pdp members loyal to bankole that voted tambuwal as bankole's annointed candidate. nku5: 6. Define democracy, if you can. govt of d ppl, by d ppl and for d ppl. nku5: 7. Does the minority rule the majority in any democratic setting? the so call US declare d candidate with highest electoral colleges winner ahead of d candidate with highest numberof votes. Number or majority is not always d factor. nku5: 8. Will you accept a PDP member leading Lagos or Kano or Rivers house of assembly as Speaker? of course, yes, if the situation warrants. And that's talking about states as isolated case. We are a talking about nigerian house of rep as a whole. It is national in this case! Have u forgotten that at some point in the house, apc had d majority and , tambuwal being a member of pdp was stil allowed to operate as the speaker without any threat of impeachment? Hope i've spoken the minds of the gods. |

Sincere9gerian: In spite of the fact that the Nigerian (not Jonathan ) military and Nigerian department of state security had confirmed the following facts: - that boko haram leader, shekau, is dead - that the impostor of shekau is also also dead This is how a Nigerian newspaper reported the latest bokoharam propaganda video
Here are a few questions for the management of the Nations newspaper and other Nigerian newspapers involved in this sort of pro-bokoharam propaganda: - do they have their own in house security experts that confirmed shekau is still alive? If not why report with such certainty and authority? If Yes, can we see any proof? - do they have their own separate security men on ground who give them contrary information? - whose interest does it serve to insist that shekau is alive in spite of the information available to us from those who are paid to provide such information and fight bokoharam on our behalf? - whose side are they in this war? The Nigerian military or bokoharam - whose interest are they protecting? Nigeria or their paymaster? - assuming the motive for those who try to undermine the Nigerian military is political, what what will they fight bokoharamm with if by any accident they win the presidency? Is with the same Nigerian military or some imported solders? saTAN-9igerian, do u hav anything to counter the statement frm bh? Did ur paymaster lie on d ceasefire deal or not? MudRaker: [s]You are really naive in your understanding of Nigeria.
Get a Christian northerner and let him narrate to you the outright discrimination and intimidation they go through in the hands of the hausa/fulani muslims.
I suggest you go visit the north one of these days prefferably Kaduna and see for yourself first hand what the non muslim indegenes go through.
Are you aware that the death of the former Kadunna state governor, Yakowa who happened to be a Christian was celebrated on the streets of Zaria as if Nigeira won the world cup.
You are naive and ignorant of what is really going on in the north.
But in spite of your ignorance I would have at least refereed you to Boko Haram which is largely composed of Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri moslems and their agenda of islamization.
I will also refer you to the fact that the abducted school girls were mainly christians in a christian town. Their principal happens to be a moslem.
I will leave it at that.[/s] liar!!! Tel me which part of kaduna u've been to, if u ar not lying. Where were you when the same ppl(both in d north and south of nigeria) celebrated the death of yaradua? It is wrong for anyone to celebrate the death of another, if not shekau's death. U ar bias! |

MudRaker: lies. He was killed. He threatened to expose those arming the Fulani militia who are pillaging villages in and around Jos and southern Kaduna if he was not released.
How can a detained suspect easily get access to a rifle and then shoot himself in the stomach of all places.
Stomach wounds are very painful but slow in killing the victim. Bleeding is usually not the cause of death but infections.
He could have survived if given medical attention but he was left to die a slow, painful agonizing death.
He was killed! u cud have used ur head and possibly seen that the reverse is the case here. They knw he has something on those killing people in jos and other places. U should knw that it wil b impossible for a certain Nanbol Audu and joseph adamu would supply hausa/fulani with arms to fight his own pple. Jst knw that he was the one arming his people to fight d hausas. |
