Very nice post. I once told someone this: The day you stop worrying about earning money with Adsense, that day is when you become a better blogger. I have earned from Adsense, but other sources, you mentioned, are better. I want to delve into information marketing soon. Nice one! By the way, any suggestion on how I can monetize my football blog. www.yoursoccerblog.com@hennyholla17 |

Jesus Christ set the best example of what any man should be. He loved other people, respected both men and women, offered help to people in and had a good personality.
He was honest, bold and strongly believed in his convictions. Almost everyone disliked him, but good people with genuine hearts loved him.
That's the kind of man I want to be. |

TheSuperNerd: A little on Serbia ahead of #NGASRB....
Against Morocco, Serbia played a 4-3-3 with a midfield of Andrija Zivkovic, Nemanja Matic and Adem Ljajic. (I don't know about the availability of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic yet as he was not among the subs for the morocco friendly).
Their front three had Dusan tadic, Aleksander Mitrovic (the no.9) and Filip Tosic.
Their defence had Captain Kolarov as LB, Dusko Tosic and Nikola Maksimovic as CBs, and Dusan Basta as the RB.
Their strength obviously lie in their midfield and the threats of Tadic and Mitrovic upfront.
This game will be yet another challenge to test the ability of our midfield to cope admirably without our midfield generalissimo in Mikel.
The Serbian midfield of Matic-Zivkovic-Llajic is a solid core and when you consider that they still have a Milinkovic-Savic, that should tell you of Serbia's depth in that dept.
A Nigerian midfield of Ndidi, Joel and Ogu/Agu or Onazi, Ndidi, Joel should be able to match the Serbians' quality in the middle of the pack depending on what formation we choose (note that: the Moroccans adopted a 4-2-3-1 against Serbia in their 2-1 win with El-Ahmadi and Bossoufa as the double pivot and Hakim Ziyech as the no.10). There would be no Mikel, no Etebo and this game provides an interesting clash especially with the Ndidi Vs Matic midfield battle for supremacy bound to set tongues wagging
Uzoho is likely to get another start to build on his showing against Poland and he will be up against a Mitrovic-led attack. Mitrovic who is on loan from Newcastle to Fulham is a big striker that stands at 1.89m and will bring a huge amount of aerial threat too. Something Uzoho must be mindful of as he struggled with a bit of those whipped in aerial balls in the first half one of which led to that disallowed goal for Poland thanks to Balogun's quick clearance/reflex.
Ekong stands at an impressive height and should be able to cope with Mitrovic's aerial threat and he must develop key understanding with Uzoho so that both do not get entangled in the air when trying to put off Mitrovic's aerial threat.
From the wings, Serbia will likely present Filip Kostic of Hamburg from the left and Zivkovic of Benfica from the right... Dusan Tadic of Southampton in England who can play both wings is another option but could start alongside Matic and Llajic in midfield or it couod be Zivkovic in midfield and Tadic further forward on the right. I expect the fullback options of Ebuehi and Idowu to cope just nicely against Kostic, Zivkovic/Tadic. Pace for pace, our fullbacks can match them but it will be a good battle.
Serbia's Kolarov is the biggest gun in their defence and he wipp play as the LB most likely and that will see him come against either Victor Moses. Kolarov's top level experience will be key for Serbia here but a potential duel with Nigeria's Victor Moses could be Kolarov's doom. In pace and power, I expect Victor to trump him and do so hard. Would be interesting to watch...
Dusan Basta of SS Lazio will likely play RB for Serbia and he would be up against Alex Iwobi or maybe Simon Moses...
Dusko Tosic and Nikola Maksimovic are likely to be their CBs if they start with a four man back line and our own Ighalo or Iheanacho will be up against it. Serbia could also call on Matija Nastasic, formerly of Man City and now with Schalke 04.
From set pieces, Mitrovic is not the only one we should keep am eye on. Matic's height and aerial presence is also one that can be utilized for the Serbs in such situations and like I have already pointed out, that Ekong and his defensive partner (Balogun is likely to be rested coz of a knock or could he start?) should be mindful and have a good communication flow with Uzoho in these situations.
Other names to look out for on the Serbian team are Marko Grujic and Old war horse, Branislav Ivanovic.
#NGASRB will be a cracker and that midfield battle will be key to it all. Another is the clinicality of both sides. Serbia dominated proceedings in terms of possession, chances created, shots on target and direction of attacks, etc against Morocco but the Moroccans were more clinical even earning a penalty in their favor too which was converted.
My forecast: A draw or a Nigeria win. Very nice analysis sir, it's been a long time since I posted here. TheSuperNerd, this guy's knowledge of football is only matched by his knowledge of medicine. I'm expecting a tough game against Serbia, they will act as a preparation for our game against Croatia, since they play somewhat alike. I need to see Junior Ajayi in this game, he could solve the no. 9 problem. I would also love a friendly game against a South American opposition. If you notice, Nigeria plays well against European countries, but struggle against South American teams. Uruguay and Chile or Colombia would be great. |
