To call a spade a spade and not a farm implement...I have always being held in awe when you guys in here weave words together and they come off so well and beautiful, splashed with colours and insight.

Monickers cannot just be mentioned to avoid sentimental statements and actions.

Who knows, I had wanted to study either of the duo: Insurance and International relations...but the Subject Government sent me packing to the Sciences.

Here in the Sciences things have been well, I have seen the lord's goodness, his mercies and compassion....I guess I made a great choice afterall.

A great choice in that, I now have a Sociologist, a Geologist, a Mechanical Engineer, a Physiologist friend, a Pharmacist, numerous Doctors, friends gunning for Law, the ones who would one day chew the dynamics of Economics in the ECO department et cetera.

That for me is an achievement, and I am more than delighted having the room to rub minds with you guys!

I'd always wished to be recessive like holarmancy and give up this bad-tempered-online-behaviour I unconsciously inherited from FrancisTony I've been trying though. I'd have proved myself successful at that point of reading your post, but "the gang of madmen" didn't help matters. Seriously the group isn't what you guys are painting it. Tell me, what do you expect.. 24/7 of questions and answers? Zero socializing and a group filled with grammars (indeed) and strictly educational stuffs? That would be heaven on whatsapp. The complaint would be hotter than this. I would be the first to leave the group. There are times we socialize and times we brainstorm. You probably met us during the former period and wrongly concluded about what we do there.

Glad you've made it past now, just as I have. I'll hencefort stick to our new pledge, *no matter the fight(s), we are gonna be friends.*

I had always Chuckled when I see people coming in here asking to be added to that, that bandwagon which is headed no where.

I wish they would open their Occuliferous tentacles and observe the ambience in there...needless to say, I knew nothing could be positive in there. Cassyrooy went in, paid his rent and ran out without using up his rent.

i have been resisting the urge to comment about the whatsapp groups; i think its high time to say something.
however, to me, i see the whatapp group as a platform for free interaction and dissemination of information. and when i joined, the groups wasn't bad. but, somewhat, there are some element of distraction and unseriousness in the groups. don't get me wrong. i do not entirely dismiss the groups as distractive, but there are some factors that needed change. the groups are really too huddle without any well-meaning or rather planned direction. it's good to socialise and the rest, but the main mission must not be taken with levity. there was a time i posted a question. many people did tried to answer the question, and certainly, it was not every participants that got the answer correct. the was a guy that got wrong answer. however my answer didn't go well with his acknowledge. he asked me to prove my answer( i wasn't online when he asked me to prove my answer). when the guy didn't sees my response, he typed abusive sentence. after 30 mins or so that i later got online,i saw the message and i got angry. i didn't reply verbally but with emocion of anger. the next thing i saw was a guy response, saying ' hmmm, i will slap the guy.... don't mind him. he is a small boy.' moreover, i thought the guy was responding to my emocion and i typed ' thank you jare.'
the next unexpected message i got from the responsee was that i was the person he meant to slap! what? i got much anger. but anyway, i have reconciled with the guy.

these are few i can say about the consequence of huddle of the groups. nevertheless, the groups are welcome idea.
admin of the groups need to control and restrict the affairs of the groups strictly to academic purpose. selah.

I think that's what gives you the impression of we being "less motivated to read but rather use the platform to socialize." You brought the nonsense. Even ogunsinamayowa who doesn't spend much time in the group wouldn't come up with such dimwitted idea. Rather stay silent of what you're obviously ignorant of than making up stupid talk that only gives you a strain of inanity. I was right associating you with weeders afterall.
