[quote author=Ecstasy154 post=65127315]“Thes terrorists are known to us. Their major hide-out is in a village called Kagara, very close to Bafarawa in Sokoto State, and a few kilometres from Shinkafi in Zamfara State. “I need to state here that majority of weapons used by bad people in this country are brought in from this area. I had reason to personally inform Zamfara State Director of SSS sometimes back of a large cache of weapons being brought into the country but no concrete action was taken until the containers were moved away." Evidence of arms proliferation in the North. Just for the record. |
"In his remarks, the Emir of Zurmi....echoed what Yari said, adding that if not for the bravery of vigilante groups who confronted the bandits, the casualty figures would have been higher." Kudos to the vigilantes. Here in Benue State, IGP tag the vigilantes as militia and has arrested them all to pave way for the Fulani herdsmen. |
Good development. There are bright and competent youths who can perform very well in leadership and other positions of responsibilities. Our elders should not commit the fallacy of thinking that, we are all like Yahaya Bello and Solomon Lalong. The duo are nothing but complete bunch of shameless cretins. |
duni04:You don't know anything about the Security Vote of Governors. And to cut a long story short, Governor Ortom did all those things you are asking about. You are rather being unnecessarily worked up. You people think you can continue to act strategically while taking over the ancestral lands of others. Well. Such a hidden plan will be flatly defeated. You people have been found out. You should better give up. Anyway, no more useless and diversionary arguments. Sorry. The show has passed this stage. We are at the next level. You are late but you can join us. Welcome to 21st century. |
Katun001:Just look at this! So much wisdom. Mtchew. |
duni04:You are extremely ignorant. The combined Force of Army and DSS that tracked down and killed Don Wanny came straight from Abuja. They were deployed from Abuja. And I can see clearly that you don't know anything about this Benue issue. It's as if you are residing in another planet. Stop this display of ignorance and arrogance. |
duni04, calyto, Yujil, bigtt76, et al. You guys should relax. Don't be unnecessarily worked up. It is only a mad man that cries over a pot of soup when the house is on fire. Those who are talking about salary in the face of ongoing genocide in Benue should, as a matter of urgency, visit the nearest rehab. It is absolutely absurd for any individual, any human being to be talking about other things as far as this issue of Fulani herdsmen is concerned. In as much as non payment of salary is condemnable, the Fulani herdsmen killings in Benue State is a more condemnable and a more vicious one. We the people of Benue State are solidly behind Governor Ortom in resisting Fulani take over of our lands and occupation of our territory. We have a proverb which says when a fox come to devour your chickens, you first of all chase away the fox, before you turn around to blame the hen. As far as we are concerned, the Fulani herdsmen who are slaughtering our people are our real enemies now. And nobody should try to play some silly mind games on us. We are smarter than that. The era of hiding and acting so strategically to deceive Benue people is gone. Nobody should try to deceive us by pointing out our enemy for us. We know our real enemies. Now, we are fighting the battle of life and death. It is only when people are alive that they can talk about food. The dead don't eat. First things first. Fighting Fulani herdsmen is the priority now. Thereafter, we will tackle the issue of salary. In the meantime, Governor Ortom is our hero. All desperate attempts to pitch the people against him are hereby vehemently rejected. We have had enough of systematic divide and rule tactics. Now, more than ever before, the people of Benue State are united to resist a very vicious enemy. And those who are killing us should not turn around and begin to act as if they care about us. They should stop the nonsense of feigning sympathy. We don't want any sympathy from our killers. Don't cry louder than the bereaved. Allow us to do our crying. |
By now, those who have hijacked this government will be working seriously hard to deny knowledge of such correspondence. The cabals definitely did not allow those letters to reach Buhari. Very wicked set of people. I can remember the VP tried to deny on his part when he stated that, the Governor informed him (VP) about the threats but did not mention the specific areas of target. One wonders whether identifying the likely areas of target is the duty of the Governor or the Security Agencies. |
Oracle16:Thumbs up for you! You are a real Oracle for knowing that. Kids are here. |
It is only a mad man that cries over a pot of soup when the house is on fire. Those who are talking about salary and project in the face of ethnic cleansing of Benue people should as a matter of urgency visit the nearest rehab. It is absolutely absurd for any individual or human being to be talking about other things as far this issue of Fulani herdsmen is concern. In as much as non payment of salary is condemnable, the Fulani herdsmen genocide in a more vicious one. NonsoWow:Ignorance talking! The shameful thing is posing as an Igbo man. The evil plans against Benue will fail. |
Commendable. Africa will get it right soon. |
Roronoa:They care less. When they come here and start accusing the Governor of being a weakling, I begin to wonder what exactly they expect him to do being a CSO just by way of mouth. Perhaps, they want him to act foolishly and land in a ditch. |
ogbeniolola:I think you are Yoruba. Why are you so obsessed with Governor Ortom? Or are you Fulani but hiding under a Yoruba username? Identify yourself let me ask you some questions. I hope you can still recognize me? |
What about the Senate? Are they not part of this investigation? They should join House of Reps on this. |
Optional09:Hello dear. I am from Benue but I can see that, iambijo is different from the others on the forum. Please, don't be harsh on him/her. Thanks. |
iambijo:Don't be offended. I will talk to him/her. Perhaps, he/she is yet to go through all your posts here. |
Xda59:Sorry. Comments like this only expose ignorance and are not helpful. |
@iambijo. Permit me to mention you. I appreciate your sense of maturity and self-control. Many people quickly give in to outbursts of anger when the feel they have been harshly attack. But you have shown patience in the face of a harsh comment earlier in the post. Please, continue that way. People like you will make some of us change our perception of your people. I have gone through your posts here, and I wish to comment on some of the points you have raised. The Ekiti State situation is different from what we have here in Benue State. In Ekiti State, the herdsmen neither rejected nor resisted compliance with the Law. To a large extent, they have obeyed. Here in Benue State, the herdsmen did not only reject the Law, they openly vowed to resist its implementation, and also threatened attacks should the Law be implemented. The question then is: Why choose to obey the same Law in Community A but reject it in Community B? Well. the herdsmen openly laid claims to ownership of Benue State. This news is in the public domain. It is not a figment of my imagination. You can check the following links: http:// www.nairaland.com/3832893/fulani-herdsmen-lay-claim-ownership#57067891 and https://dailytimes.ng/fulani-herdsmen-lay-claim-ownership-benue-valley-vow-mobilise-herdsmen/ This can also be understood from the recent interview granted by Professor Umar Labdo. See the link: dailypost.ng/2018/01/18/benue-belongs-fulani-herdsmen-right-conquest-prof-muhammad/ So you see, the whole scenario in Benue State is different. It goes deeper than what one would ordinarily think. It's not just about Open Grazing Law. And let me point it here clearly: the Security Agencies have not hidden their biasness in this Benue issue. You can Google comments by Defence Minister and IGP on the situation in Benue. It's very unfortunate. Thanks once again for your sense of maturity and understanding. You are totally different from many of your people on this forum. |
I will continue to shout. Governor Ortom, you have to go into a strategic alliance with the whole South - SE. SS and SW. Do that NOW. |
Sounds more like a bad joke. Those Officers should be identified and prosecuted. |
INEC is guilty. They should begin swift moves at cleaning the voter registers in those States. Enough of this madness and shamelessness from the North. This is 21st century for crying out loud. We are no more in the cave man era. |
Reps are united. |
INEC should deregister those kids asap. |
They always get fools in the South to use as "willing tools" for their evil agenda. This is really nauseating. |
The leaders of MACBAN issued threats against Benue, went on killing spree and claimed responsibility giving reasons for their actions. And they are still walking freely and are being begged by Umahi, a Fulani stooge, to stop the killings. They can continue. But they will surely have a date with history. The will surely face justice one day. They cannot go unpunished. |
Good. Operation Retire Old Men loading... |
The frustration is real. You guys ain't seen anything yet. And if anyone is guilty of unguarded utterances, it is you Northern Groups. Your arrogance is next to nothing. Oh! Systematically issuing subtle threats against those who are resisting the take over of their lands. Gosh! So Buhari should grab land by fire by force for your people? More like a silly joke. Why are you guys so desperate about this issue of land grabbing? Sambisa forest has just been liberated. Give it all to Fulani herdsmen. Or do the cows have culinary preference? Is the Middle Belt grass the sweetest in the whole Nigeria? Good to hear you are now beginning to consider the issue of renegotiating this union. Nobody is a slave in this country. The era of claiming ownership of Nigeria is long gone. You guys are warmly welcomed to the realities of 21st century. |
In the afternoon! |
Can somebody help tell Garba Shehu to tell Buhari to arrest the leadership of MACBAN over Benue killings? They openly threatened Benue State, carried out their threats and claimed responsibility with reasons. |
I'm not understanding the man called Osinbajo. |
It shall be well. |
