If you put the car in drive and depress the accelerator it should move and keep an eye on the Rev if it gooes vroom around 20 or 30 b4 moving then the gear entered limp mode. you'll have to off and on engine

I will like to ask those who drive E320 series, does your engine roar like a race car every time you step on the throttle? Just want to know if I am the only one experiencing it, every time I step on the throttle I hear voooom and the car will dash forward, though I kinda like the way I bully people on the road and overtake cars anyhow but is this the way the car is supposed to behave. Our family car is a Lexus and I rarely hear any sound until maybe I am on top speed(though the car moves like a snail to me)Cc: Searching4love

I'm used to it, maybe cause I could afford new ones. Honestly I'm going to Lagos to get new one again, but this time I decided to go to Lagos myself from east and buy it. Making sure I am buying Bosch. I bought new compressor and this will be a year and it has not disappointed for a day. Its just that I Bo ght fake if not. The thing just cut my fuse 20am fuse twice, tried to jum but it was sparking sef.

Well I don't know when you bought the car but I have a feeling you didn't buy it new,so all the time the car was used by the previous owner the number of times they pressed the break would have added to the counts(I am not very sure here sha) i think you can continue with your strategy sha,as for me i am not a heavy user,its jut during this christmas time that i noticed it due to the long distance and many places i went,normally i rarely go out or far like that so i don't the error. I will seel the car next year sha.

Ah, conversion keh 😦😦 you want to spoil the car niyen. There is nothing actually wrong with the SBC, it's Mercedes Benz that set the SBC to start doing that trigger when you have reached a certain threshold in the life of the car. So for every time you press the brakes it counts and send the signal to the SBC so all you need is just to add more to increase the threshold from the one set by benz

No I haven't,been looking for it on Jumia or any other store but I haven't found it except on Alibaba. So I guess that's what I will do next. The only time the break error show in my own case is when I drive for long, but once I park ,and switch off the engine,the system will ask me to start the car again and the brake error will disappear till maybe another hours of driving. So what I have resorted to is not to go for long journey until I buy the device

SBC threshold reset. There is a device for doing that thing,can reset it to let's say 75% so those brake errors it used to show when you are driving will be gone

But wait a minute the SBC doesn't even spoil like that except your car is older than 25 years which I doubt . Is your brake still catching? If yes, have you considered doing SBC threshold reset? .

Any benz with sbc braking system should be avoided. I'm selling off my w211 e320 cos of that shifty sbc brake

yea I noticed the braking is electric in some ways. what I do anytime I want to start the car is pump the brake and I won't experience it. w211 is a very solid car. Aside changing oil, I never did anything on engine or gear

Sows anybody experience this? When the abs warning light come on the steering becomes hard but when the light goes off the steering becomes so light.

what can you say about the braking system especially reduced braking pedal on the dash

Well this may sound strange but I will advice you to charge the secondary battery, or change it Incase it is bad. Also if your main car battery is no properly charged it may trigger that thing too

I think also Benz is not just ordinary car that you just jump in and start driving,you need to take your time to go through the manuals so you can be prepared for anything and you will know what the issue is even without waiting for a technician. Also try to learn on "the job" as your engineer is fixing pay attention so that you won't need to call him next time Incase it happens

I drive an e320 too 05 precisely, the first time it happened to me I shocked as per never experienced it. so I parked the car and off engine to get something, then soon I enter to start , turned the key nothing I had to call Rewire and checked everything all good so we decided to change battery and it started easily, and whenever such happens again I just remove the two battery clips and fix again then it come on again.

That E320 is a funny car, some times I just laugh when anything out of the ordinary happen then the car will fix it self again

You've not fixed the issue na. You're just managing it.

Remote diagnosis would be difficult. It could be anything. Get a competent technician to scan the car and diagnose the cause.

It was a fuse that got burnt,so no fuel was going to the engine,it has been fixed

Hello,what could be wrong. My E320 w211 won't start, I drove somewhere today and everything was fine on my for me to enter my car to leave and the car starts rolling as if there is no petrol inside. I poured like 8liters inside but the car won't start, initially it was doing like it was going to start but the *slow* was so weak and it later went of since then it just rolls and nothing happens,so I just parked the car there so as not to kill the battery. Please what could be wrong..can it be spark plug issue?

My dad passed away this year and it's just my mum and a little girl who we employed to take care of her that is left at home. As the only Son in the family, everyone has been on my neck to move back home and take care of her.
I am not married yet,I don't think there is any lady now that will want to live with a man in his family home with a mother-in-law. Though our house is very big and there is a flat not occupied yet.

Going back home is making me feel somehow but I love my mum and I am worried.

Yea this evening I wanted to start the car but the power keeps going off, more like the battery terminal is no properly fit but i don't think that is the case.

Benz e320, 2003.
The battery was draining overnight so he decided to install a device that would put the battery in a power saver so that the battery wouldn't drain anymore, I noticed now that the car won't start, it will be doing as if the battery terminal is not fixed well. The lights on the dashboard will go off when I roll the key to the ignition. I removed the battery terminal, replaced it again, and hit the terminal well, but it was still the same thing. Then I started seeing a break error indicating on the dashboard. This car was working very well before.
