PDP IS PARTICIPATING ON THE FORTHCOMING LOCAL GOVERNMENT/WARD ELECTION TO WIN

It is quite inauspicious and absolutely unpropitious, that some political knee high to grasshoppers, who are presently members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in shady, but APC in spirit, have put their shoulders to the wheel, working deviously by hook or by crook in ensuring that they entomb PDP in Ebonyi State, using all the processes of mendacities within their horizons, hence, the whys and wherefores of the misleading circulations in the media.

2. Whereas, no logical member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), can devout his precious time to tilt at windmill, knowing fully that whatever misleading we see online regarding to the situation above is nothing, but a result of a desperado, having two beans to rub together, and as well, working for featherhead purpose. In attestation that nobody can fight nature, the public can now testify that they are currently being hoisted with their own petard. However, for the sake of the targeted gullible publics, I have no option than to be veracious to everybody, especially the millions of our supporters, whose PVCs are willingly waiting to go for the PDP.

3. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ebonyi State Chapter under the leadership of Hon. Tochukwu Okorie, was on July 4th, 2022, resolved that the party will participate in the forthcoming Local Government Council elections as announced by EBSIEC provided the process is visibly transparent and insulated from government influence and or interference. This was Pursuant to Section 6(3) of the constitution of the PDP 2017 as amended.

4. Consequent upon this approval, the party announced the sales of Expression of interest/Normination forms to commence on Tuesday July 5th, 2022 and end on Thursday July 14th, 2022. Since then, aspirants have been complying in line with the directives of the party.

5. However, it could be recalled that, after the inglorious defection of Governor David Umahi from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to the All Progressives Congress (APC) on November 18th 2020, one of the projects he carried out in the month of December Same year, was to seal the State Secretariat of the Party, so as to exacerbate, and drastically reduce the influence of the Party in the State. To the shame and hand-wringing of the enemies, on April 4th 2022, an Abuja Federal High Court ordered for the unsealing of the State Secretariat, and the party officially reopened the secretariat on that April.

6. Moreover, since December 2020, when the secretariat was sealed, the party has been using Salt Lake Hotel, Abakaliki as their provisionary secretariat, as was donated by Senator Joseph Obinna Ogba. It could be recalled that during the Sales of the State House of Assembly Expression of interest/Normination forms for the 2023 general election, everything was done at the Salt lake hotel, even though that the Party has reopened the permanent secretariat, hence, the Salt Lake Hotel is still the provisionary secretariat of the party. So, questioning the sales of forms at Salt Lake Hotel is as illogical as questioning the inequality of President Buhari and Vice President Osibanjo.

7. The general public should profoundly understand the reasons behind the green light of the Local Government/ward election. There is no doubt, politics is very much extra at the grassroot. Nobody can rig out a popular candidate, and a party that is ready to take over power in 2023 shall never be afraid of election. Therefore, boycotting the Local Government/Ward election is as good as attempting to kill the Goose that lays the golden egg. It is good for PDP to go through their paces, and there is no doubt, in a level playing field, PDP will win in all the political wards, even at a moment notice.

8. Finally, go and get your PCVs and deliver all the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the party is very much ready and fully prepared to contest and win. The Party shall not hesitate to challenge any observed infractions or acts capable of robbing the process of credibility and or fairness.

Ebonyi Central will be on the rise when Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu will be elected as Senator representing the zone in 2023. He is kind-hearted, very much experienced, and sees leadership as how things can be improved and how to rally people to move toward that better vision. As a Senator, he can work toward making the vision of the people a reality while putting people first. He doesn't just motivate people alone, but, he is very empathetic and connect with people to be successful. He also nurtures future leaders to be more diverse, and bring a variety of perspectives.

Ambassador Ogbuewu is a leader with a supreme quality of leadership, which is unquestionable integrity. Whereas, integrity is the most valuable and respected quality of leadership, The incoming Senator is a leader who keeps to his words, and has never made a promise he can not fulfill. He sees leadership as having the ability to relate to and connect with people for the purpose of inspiring and empowering their lives.

Ambassador Ogbuewu is a great leader, who possesses three key qualities needed in leadership, which are; inner light, inner vision, and inner strength. He sees leadership as an opportunity to elevate people from where they are to where they have not been.

Brief History
The name, "Ebonyi" was derived from the Ebonyi river which rises from Enugu Midlands, moving through most parts of the state and emptying into Cross river. Other States like Rivers, Cross river, Benue, etc were named in the same manner.
Ebonyi state occupies the land mass of 5,935km. As at 1991, the population of people in Ebonyi was higher than some several West African countries, such as; Togo, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, etc.

Ebonyi state is made up of thirteen (13) local governments, with three senatorial zones, viz;
EBONYI CENTRAL: Central is made up of Ezza North, Ezza South, Ikwo, and Ishielu local government.
EBONYI NORTH: North comprises of Abakaliki, Ebonyi, Ohaukwu, and Izzi local government.
EBONYI SOUTH: South is made up of Afikpo North, Afikpo South, Ivo, Ohaozara, and Onicha local government.

The state has six(6) federal constituencies, and twenty-four(24) state constituencies.
The federal constituencies are;
1. Abakaliki/Izzi federal constituency
2. Afikpo North/Afikpo South federal constituency
3. Ebonyi/Ohaukwu federal constituency
4. Ezza North/Ishielu federal constituency
5. Ezza South/Ikwo federal constituency
6. Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo federal constituency.

STRUGGLE FOR THE CREATION OF THE STATE

The good people of Ebonyi suffered so much before the creation of the state. The strong ardent for the movement of the creation of the state was poised by absolute negligence, deprivation, and marginalization. The insipid slang "Nwa Abakaliki" was a name they used to insult the people of Ebonyi in those days. And it was an easy way of summarizing how primitive they are.

The people of Ebonyi had remained one from day one. In 1906, the administration of the colonial masters grouped Ebonyi under Ogoja province.
In 1957/1958 when Willink Commission was constituted by the colonial masters to enquire into the fears of minority. However, the people of Ebonyi approached the Committee via memoranda and oral evidence. As a result, the Ogoja, Ikom, Obudu were made a new Ogoja province, while Abakaliki and Afikpo division were grouped into Abakaliki province, with a provincial headquarters at Abakaliki.

The good people of Ebonyi remained one till unfortunate incidence happened on 3rd February, 1976. Then, Abakaliki division was made to join Anambra state, while Afikpo division was made to join Imo state, thereby separating the two brothers.

In 1979, when Alhaji Shehu Shagari was the President of Nigeria, he raised a new hope of the creation of new states.
On Tuesday, 18th November, 1980, a demand for the creation of Ebonyi state was formally presented to, and accepted by the house of representatives. Due to the genuineness and pathetic reasons behind the creation of Ebonyi state, the house of representatives moved the request to the committee on state creation. The committee visited and stayed in Ebonyi between 14th - 17th August 1981. They confirmed that the people are one, and truly needed the state.

Regrettably, the hope of creation of the state was dashed out, as Shagari's government ended up without creating any state, due to much political interference, and unnecessary bureaucracy.

Ebonyi PDP Suspends Deputy Chairman, Publicity Secretary, and Two Others

The Ebonyi State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced a month suspension of the the State Deputy Chairman, Barr Ifeanyi Nworie, the State Publicity Secretary, Mr Nwoba Chika Nwoba, The State Legal Adviser, Barr Mudi Erhenede, and the State Treasurer, Barr Obinna Iteshi. The State Chairman of the Party, Hon. Tochukwu Okorie, announced the suspension on Tuesday, during a Press brief at Abakaliki.

Announcing the suspension, the state Chairman, Hon. Tochukwu Okorie, said that the suspended executives are accused of infractions. On his words;
"SEC received a memo for the ratification of the suspension of certain persons. The memo was based on the Decision of the State Working Committee following a petition brought by one Hon. Okuri Eze Reuben of Akaezeukwu ward against the following persons
i. Barr. Ifeanyi Nworie
ii. Mr. Nwoba Chika Nwoba
iii. Barr. Mudiaga Erhenede
iv. Barr. Obinna Iteshi
The above-named persons are accused of infractions as outlined in Section 58 (1) of the constitution of the PDP 2017 as amended. The petitioner had also attached a sworn affidavit in support of his petition. SEC unanimously approved and ratified the suspension for the period of one month as presented in the memo.
For the avoidance of doubt, Barr. Ifeanyi Nworie, Mr. Nwoba Chika Nwoba, Barr. Mudiaga Erhenede and Barr. Obinna Iteshi have been suspended from the party for a period of one month beginning July 4, 2022 in line with the extant provisions of the Constitution of the PDP."

On 28th May, 2022, the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) scheduled the National Assembly Primary election of the Party in Ebonyi State, but the congress was later cancelled for violating the guidelines of the Party, as the committee that purportedly conducted them did not form the required quorum. The letter of cancellation of the congress, which was signed by the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sen. Iyorchia Ayu, and the National Secretary, Sen. Samuel N. Anyanwu was addressed to INEC, and was officially received.

However, the National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), later rescheduled the National Assembly Primary on Saturday June 4th, 2022. The official letter of the rescheduled primary was addressed to the INEC, and was officially received.

However, in total compliance to the new electoral guidelines, and in line with the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the party in a letter, signed by the National Organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar M. Bature, and addressed to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, INEC, Ebonyi State Chapter, appointed the following, to serve on the Senatorial District Electoral Committee in the State, to conduct the Senatorial District Primary Election in Ebonyi, for the purpose of nominating The candidates of our dear PDP, for the upcoming 2023 general elections. The composition are;
1. Barr Ukenna Onuoha - Chairman
2. Ifebunike Hypo - Member
3. Hon. Ikedi Ugwu Okey - Member
4. Hon. Linus Osuagwu - Member
5. Barr Dave Bamaiyi Ohemu - Secretary.

Moreover, on Saturday, 4th June, 2022, the Senatorial Primary election was conducted in total compliance with the new electoral guidelines, and in line with the constitution of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). The election was free and fair, and very successful in all the Senatorial Zones.

In Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, the former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu was elected as the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He scored 123 votes, to defeat his closest rival, Amb. Lawrence Nwuruku, who scored 39 votes. Others are; Hon. Kelvin Tobeas Chukwu scored 2 votes, Dr Hyginus Nwokwu scored 1 vote, and Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, scored 1 vote. Any other thing someone tells you outside this is more of a story of Tortoise, under the shed of moonlight.

*WHY EBONYI CENTRAL SHOULD QUEUE BEHIND AMBASSADOR OGBUEWU TO BECOME A SENATOR IN 2023*

- *For Equity, Fairness, and Justice*: it is widely known that Ikwo has never produced a Senator, and therefore, 2023 is the psychological moment for Ikwo to produce a Senator like others. Whoever that is standing against this move this time, is more of an enemy of the zone. And in Ikwo Local Government, it is only the candidate from Ikwo South, that can balance the inequity, hence, others from Ikwo North have occupied other enviable political positions. And the Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is from Ikwo South. Therefore, supporting him collectively to represent Ebonyi Central at the National Assembly, is a pure display of equity, fairness, and justice, for what is good for Goose, is also good for Gander.

It could be noted that a senatorial career involves a long-term commitment as a public figure, who has acquired much political experience. Among the candidates in Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is the only qualified. - *Attraction of Infrastructures and Federal Establishment* : Ambassador Ogbuewu as a Senator, will go a long way in attracting infrastructures, and Federal establishment to Ebonyi Central. If he can attract National Herbal Garden to Ebonyi State as a Minister, where people are currently working and earning their living, he can do more as a Senator, when elected in 2023. He has never occupied an office, without living his footprints in sand of time, and therefore, when he gets to the Senate, his quality and effective representation, will speak volume for the people of Ebonyi Central.

- *Reduction of Hunger and Unemployment*: Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is the grandmaster of employment. In the history of mankind, he is the only man that has reduced unemployment to zero level in his local government. If he can do that in the 90s, he can do more, when elected as Senator in 2023. He knows the secret, he has the secret, and he can do it for Ebonyi Central. That one graduated from school without job, is not when Ambassador Ogbuewu is in the Senate. It is time to secure our future and that of our children.

As a Lawmaker, he will make Laws that can secure the future of the youths, through wealth creation and employment generation, and as well, scrutinize the work of the Government for the benefit of the citizens. As a Senator, he will make some legislative inquiries, on why some people are living in poverty as a result of unemployment, recession, and insecurity, and then use his legislative prowess to effect a rapid change on the floor of the Senate, which must be fully implemented.

Whereas, it is clear that the primary function of a Senator is Law Making, Correction of defects in laws, Approval of Judicial appointments, Approval of other federal appointments, and also empowered to control the amount of public funds that will be spent and the manner in which they will be disbursed, just as clearly stated in Section 80(3) of the 1999 Constitution, which provides that  ‘No moneys shall be withdrawn from any public fund of the Federation, other than the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Federation, unless the issue of those moneys has been authorised by an Act of the National Assembly'. When Ambassador Ogbuewu gets there, he will be fully there for all of us. He can't be sitting down, or sleeping when other Senators from the North or Western parts of the country are doing the job. Ambassador Ogbuewu will always express the views of Ebonyi Central. It gives joy to see your Senator, making a reasonable impact on the floor of the Senate. It gives special recognition to the zone, and as well, gives confident and hope to the members of the zone, that they are fully represented.

Besides, the legislative activities of Ambassador Ogbuewu will not end on his active and reasonable inputs on the floor of the Senate. He will attract massive infrastructures, unprecedented development, federal establishments, and employment to the good people of Ebonyi Central. PDP Appoints Campaign Team

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of OSUN STATE GUBERNATORIAL NATIONAL CAMPAIGN COUNCIL for the Saturday, July 16, 2022 Governorship Election in the State.

The list of the campaign team, released on Monday by the National Publicity Secretary of PDP Hon. Debo Ologubagba, will be headed by the Governor of Governor of Bayelsa State, Sen. Duoye Diri, is expected to take the campaign train of the party to Osun State, and ensure the sucess of the party during the gubernatorial election which comes up on July 16th, 2022.
The campaign team, which is made up of 150 political bigwigs, including the Governor of River State, Barr Nyelsom Wike, Sokoto State Governor, Rt Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, and so many others.

Osun is one of  the 36 states of Nigeria, and the ninth smallest in area and nineteenth most populous with an estimated population of about 4.7 million as of 2016. Among the four (4) Local Governments, only Ikwo has not produced a Senator, and it has been unanimously agreed in the spirit of unity, justice, equity, and fairness, that 2023 is the psychological moment for Ikwo to produce a Senator. Therefore, whoever that goes against the unanimous agreement is narcissistically poised to act as Judas in the realm of apostleship, which can never hold water.

The Senate, which is equally known as the red chamber in Nigeria, is the highest lawmaking institution in the country.

THROWBACK ON CHRONOLOGICAL/ SEQUENCES OF PHILANTHROPIC DISPOSITIONS THAT DISTINGUISHED AMBASSADOR OGBUEWU FROM OTHERS

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Candidate for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is a rare philanthropist, whose philanthropic dispositions have immensely touched lives in so many ramifications. He has helped so many people behind the camera, but some uninformed publics, who dwell on hearsay sometimes believe on figment of imaginations, even without asking questions.

On this update, I will not talk about the countless number of people he has given Local Government, State, and Federal jobs, I will not talk about people he has elevated politically, I will not talk about people he has uplifted academically, I will not talk about his efforts for the progress of Ikwo, Ebonyi State, and Nigeria at large, maybe, I will talk about those topics next time.
This update will be limited to his foundation, named, "FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SERVICES".

Every sincere philanthropist always have a foundation, where he helps the less privileged, the orphans, and the vagrants.
Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is a philanthropist with difference, who has positively touched lives. It's on his quest to touch lives, that orchestrated the formation of " FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION".

The foundation; "FRAJON EDUCATION FOUNDATION", is a registered non profit, and non governmental organization, properly registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, on January 2010, with Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu as Chairman.
The objective of the foundation is not limited to the following;
1. Providing education for young people in need; orphans, and vulnerable children in the society.
2. Train women and nursing mothers on how to care for themselves and their children to;
___ Be sustainable and good managers of their homes and environment.
___ Providing basic nutrition for their children with available local farm produce.
3. Providing free medical services to women, children, and others who may stand in need.

In line with the objective of this foundation;
In 2012, the foundation organized a reading competition in collaboration with Ebonyi State Basic Education, and Unity FM Abakaliki, for students in Junior Secondary School in Ebonyi State. This particular venture, revived the dying reading culture among our children in Ebonyi State.

In 2013, the foundation, in collaboration with with UPLIFT HELP INC, a United State Based NGO, organized a free medical services to Ebonyi Children, ages between one to twelve (1-12)years.
In that 2013 alone, over six hundred children were treated of various ailment, including performing surgeries on children with inguinal hernia, umbilical and undescended testicles.

While the medical experts are team of professionals from the famous John Hopkins University in USA, medical supplies both consumable and non consumable are provided by 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION', Sisters of Mercy International, and Uplift-Help Inc.

For a stretch of eight (years, 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION' conducted free medical services in Ebonyi State, with operational base centres at Ishiagu, in Ivo Local Government Area, and Igboji, in Ikwo Local Government Area. This has been as a result of overwhelming financial sponsorship of the programs by His Excellency, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu.

In synopsis, the achievements of the foundation, under the Chairmanship/sponsorship of Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, within the space of nine (9) years, are not limited to the following;
___ In 2013, within a space of six(6) days, 915 children were attended to, at Ishiagu, where people from Ebonyi South were taking care of, out of the 915, 52 children had surgeries. Also, 402 were later attended before the end of the program at Ishiagu. In Ikwo, 1,100 Children were attended, and another 800 women were treated of various ailments.

___ In 2014, over 1,620 children and nursing mothers were attended to, at Ishiagu and Ikwo. Igboji Comprehensive Health Centre was used to attend to people from Ebonyi Central and North. A total of 96 surgeries were recorded.

___ In 2015, the medical mission had a surge of people coming from all walks of life, to have their children treated. Because of the influx, and increasing number of surgery cases, the foundation, under the Chairmanship/sponsorship of Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu and 'UPLIFT HELP', decided to limit their services to hernia and undescended testicles. Another 102 children had surgery.

___ In 2016, the medical mission was expanded with a big boost from the Governor, Engr Dave Umahi, SSG, and Medical Doctors from FETHA, through Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu. And they collaborated to treat adults with malaria, diabetes, and HBP. This had over Eight Hundred and Eleven (811) adults treated at Igboji, and another 930 at Ishiagu. Also, Dr Ajah of the blessed memory, a good friend of Ambassador Ogbuewu, was always available to take care of adult patients from Ishiagu, and other towns within the area. 78 children had surgeries ranging from hernia to undescended testicles.

___ In 2017, 97 surgeries were done in the two centers with over one hundred and fifteen (115) patients put on awaiting list for 2018.

___ In 2018, 98 surgeries with 202 patients on awaiting list for bilateral inguinal hernia.

___ In 2019, 101 surgeries were carried out, with 200 awaiting list. The team decided to come twice in a year to reduce the backlog of surgeries particularly in Ikwo axis.

___ In February 2020, the team came to start the 2x visit, to clear the backlog. 98 surgeries were done. Unfortunately, the advent of COVID-19 brought the whole world to standstill, and also placed the medical team on hold.

___ In 2021, 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SERVICES', under the Chairmanship/sponsorship of Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, continued the medical campaign in compliance of COVID-19 protocol, to people living in rural areas. This was done in almost all the communities in Ikwo Local Government Area.

The Chairman of 'FRAJON EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION SERVICES ", and former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu has awarded scholarships to over hundreds of indigent young people from his area, and has helped in training many young people and school dropouts in skill acquisition.

However, this is not all the scorecards of Ambassador Frank Ogbuewu when it comes to education, health sector, and assistance to the less Privileged. But, more will soon be updated chronologically.

It may not interest some ears to hear that some political officeholders don't have half of this scorecard. If Ambassador Ogbuewu can achieve all these while on his own, he can do more when he has our mandate as a Senator of the Federal Republic.

Ambassador Ogbuewu Remains the Most Competent Candidate for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District - Igwe

A Social media activist, Mr Theophilus Ifeanyi Igwe, has described the Senatorial Candidate of the peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Candidate for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu, as the most competent Candidate for Ebonyi Central Senatorial Zone. On a post he made on his Facebook account, he said;

"One thing about the red chamber of the National Assembly is that, it is not for the boys. It is for the elders. If you don't have a political surname, Senate is not for you. Senate is a forum of influential personalities, it is not a forum of one legged masquerades. Senate is a forum of wise men, men of goodwill, and not for people that are supposed to be at the Local Government. A virgin politician should go to the Local Government, or State House of Assembly.

Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu is the most qualified among all the Candidates from Ebonyi Central Senatorial District. He is a national and international figure, for having served as an Ambassador, and Minister of the federal republic. He can't come to the plenary and go without talking, and he is not afraid of debate.
Ebonyi Central shall not send someone that will be afraid of debate. We need Ambassador Frank Ogbuewu for the progress of Ebonyi Central.

When he gets to the Senate, he will be one of the strongest voices and opinion makers of the 10th session of the National Assembly. He will show others how to be a Senator. Ebonyi Central is very lucky to have him.

Notwithstanding, Ambassador Ogbuewu is the only candidate that has the wherewithal to win to win, and bring legislative dividends to Ebonyi Central. He is not going there to sleep . He has strongly contested for Governor twice, and has also contested for the position of the National Chairman of PDP, and thus, has made him popular and very influential. During his time as a Minister, he was very popular and high ranking Minister of the Federal Republic. He remains the longest serving Minister of Culture and Tourism during the administration of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Ebonyi Central will be proud and feel represented when he gets to the Senate. He has made it clear that he will be having a town hall meeting with the good people of his zone from time to time, the voice of his zone will be his voice during debate and matters of national concern. Ambassador Ogbuewu is grammatically sound, intellectually balanced, and academically fecund. Sending him to the Senate is like sending ourselves to the Senate, because, what is due for the zone must always get to them. He can't be sleeping when debate or plenary will be going on, because, he is not like others that are afraid of debate.

Whereas some other candidates have been tested but not trusted, Ambassador Ogbuewu has been tested and perfectly trusted. We shall not recycle a failure again. The former Minister of Culture and Tourism, Ambassador Frank Nchita Ogbuewu has been declared winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial Primaries for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, which took place on Saturday, 4th June, 2022.

Ambassador Ogbuewu scored 123 votes, to defeat his closest rival, Ambassador Lawrence Nwuruku, who scored the total of 39 votes.
Others are;
Hon. Kelvin Tobeas Chukwu, who scored 2 votes, Dr Hyginus Nwokwu scored 1 Vote, and Hon. Lazarus Ogbee, who scored 1 vote.
