Hello, when do you plan on leaving?

I am looking at Turkey, Dubai and Cotonou routes at the moment as it appears Ghana is undergoing some ment

I have checked the turkey evisa website and there is a need for a return ticket - from the response you got some pages back, does it mean I can book a ticket to the UK and it will count as a return ticket of sorts?

I sent you a PM smiley
Hello, I had same concern but from the response I got from here it seems having a ticket out of Turkey to wherever is sufficient.

Yes, you can, it qualifies.
They are basically saying you must have a ticket for a flight out of their country, they don't really care where to..
I appreciate your response. Thank you

Please I need advice from anyone who has been in my shoes or has information.

I am planning to visit the UK for an exam from Nigeria but I can't fly directly and I also can't afford the quarantine fees.

I plan to spend 14 days in Turkey then proceed to UK from there.

Can I book a multicity / circle trip from Lagos to Istanbul to London and then back to Lagos? Does this qualify as a round trip?

I am asking this because the Turkey visa specifies that I must have a round trip/return ticket for me to be allowed entry into the country.

I need help from the gurus in the house.
I have B.Sc from UK, I gain admission through direct entry so it took me 2years to get my degree and I want to apply for ECA in either IQAS/CES/ICES
My question is, do I need to verify both B.Sc (UK) and NCE (Nigeria), with which I used to gain the direct entry admission or should I verify B.Sc (UK) only.
Any one with similar experience should kindly share please.
Thanks in anticipation.
In my opinion, you need both the NCE and BSc, that is what people around me who gained admission via D.E did. I believe it is even more important in your case since the UK degree took two years.

Others can contribute, just in case I am wrong.

Can you please gimme the email you complained to. I have tried all the ones i know, but they all give annoying auto-replies.
My test center wasn't in Nigeria, but have you checked the official BC website for the email address. If all fails, you might need to appear in their office in person o.

Please what’s the procedure for requesting a remark? My result was online today (LRSW 9,7.5,8,7), although it was stated that the result is provisional and may be different when I get the actual report document. I’m not happy about my reading hence the need for a remark to earn an extra 3 points
I filled a form and made payment into BC's bank account, but I really do not know the process in Nigeria.

I applied for EOR (BC) on 24th April. No acknowledgement mail yet. I just called customer care now and lady says I should wait angry angry
I dunno for how long...Do you know what is causing the delay/shortcomings?
Write an email to your local test provider, politely bringing to their knowledge, that it has been over 28 days since you requested for EOR and that you need feedback urgently. That is what I did in my case, and it worked because they released my report the day after I sent the email, that is after calling several times to no avail.

I never got a confirmation mail from them. I submitted on 23rd April and sent a message two weeks after. I was categorically told that I should only mail or call if I don't get the EOR in 28 days.

THE STORY SO FAR

Hey guys!

It has been a long while since I visited this thread (or is it called trend?), and today, I felt I should share what has been going on at my end with the hope of encouraging someone.

So, when I started this journey November, I was so excited, and I felt passing IELTS and getting ITA was going to be a breeze until IELTS 'jammed me'.

My first attempt was January 19, and I was so sure of getting nothing less than 8 in writing, but, alas, I had L-9, R-8.5, W-6.5, S-7, and I didn't even stop there because I asked for EOR, but it came back unchanged.

However, I didn't give up, and I booked the next available date, April 9th, and the test was computer delivered, and yay! I passed!
L-9, R-9, W-7, S-7, but it did not end there, and in fact, that is where my story begins because I asked for EOR again. Actually, at this point, my score was 444, and I had been hoping to at least get 450.

You see, after my first attempt, I came to this forum for assistance, and I joined Wasseynewest's writing group to familiarise myself with the essay structures, @bunmioluwa also introduced me to writeandimprove.com, a wonderful site for IELTS. Furthermore, I downloaded Grammarly app on my laptop, from the Microsoft store, and that made me realise some of my writing mistakes, and I worked on these by watching some youtube videos.

When I started practising with writeandimprove.com, my score was 6.5, but, before the test, I was consistently getting 8, sometimes 8.5, under examination conditions. So, that prompted me to ask for a remark when my results came out because I badly needed 3 extra points at least.

Fortunately, as God would have it, I got 6 points extra because I received my EOR report today.

L-9, R-9, W-7.5, S-8. Halleluyah somebody!

I guess what I am trying to say is that you should seek assistance when you need it because in this journey, being full of yourself isn't going to help you one bit, and secondly, even if you 'pass' the test, and you need extra points, consider asking for a remark first before rewriting the test. You might be surprised!

Thank you @wasseynewest @bunmioluwa and every other person that dropped one tip or the other when I needed it most.

I wish you all the best.

Hello guys,

I'm still stuck with IELTS writing. It feels worse because I actually write for a living.

I have decided to unlearn everything I know, and re-learn from scratch. I need people to help me look through my essays. Please.

I've registered for the third time with MOD for the March 2nd Test.

Earlier tests had me at 6.5 for writing, with reading, listening and speaking standing at 8, 8.5 and 8 respectively.
I will suggest you ask for remark even though you write another test

I will suggest you continue practicing till you are consistently on 7.5 or 8 before your next IELTS. That will help your confidence in the real exam.

All the best.
Thanks, will do just that.

I used a Cambridge site named writeandimprove.com for practice, which is quite new, paid 10 pounds subscription for a month so that I can access the IELTS practice questions. The site will grade based on IELTS grade and highlight grammatical or spelling mistakes. I had almost the same experience as I did in the practice with the real-life exam.
Thanks, I will take a look at the site.

Update: I just completed a trial test on the site and I was graded 6.5 just like my official IELTS score.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 7 by ceyrahtlk(f): 9:50am On Feb 21, 2019
I got the EOR today and results remain unchanged and I thought I should update the house despite the negative outcome.

Moving on, how fast should i be able to type to attempt computer-based ielts? @nenesisi and others. Any specific website that simulates the computer-based exam well?

I would have done the paper-based test but the next available date is May at my end.

Thanks

Greetings to you all. It's good to be here with you guys.

I am in the process of sending my WAEC scratch card for WES evaluation. I want to confirm if there is anyone here that is interested, so we can possibly cut cost for ourselves and send it in a sealed envelope via courier with our reference number affix on the cards.

I anticipate your response. Thank you all.

Good day to you all,

For those who used ICES, my spouse's application status shows complete.

Any idea on how to pay the $75 for the courier option? All I see on the dashboard is 'request additional copy' and the total I am getting is $95.

Thanks
@DonTee07 @55emem55 @nomad26 @akintunde63 et al: I called ICES few minutes ago and I was able to sort out the additional $75 payment. Fortunately, I have a credit card so it went smoothly. I appreciate your contributions.

Hello All,

Please help o. Started my ECA with ICES in November 2018. Sent an email to ask if they got my credentials and they said yes only to come back to me last week after 11 weeks to tell me they had not gotten one Transcript and as such I have to wait for another 12 weeks proceasing period!

Our CSR is 442, my hubby will turn a year older within the 12 weeks window and we will loose 5 points. Please what do you advise? Should he go ahead and enter the pool alone? What are the implications for me?

Can I apply alone later? Planning to boost my CSR with TEF later in the year. Hubby does not want to wait.

Congratulations to all the clenchers. It will end in praise

Thank you.
So sorry about the ICES wahala

The fact that its showing complete doesn't mean its been dispatched.
If she/he didn't pay the 75CAD for delivery, it won't be sent.

Thanks, i will do that now

if its showing completed, they already dispatched your copies. How did you pay initially? or you want to request additional copies? If you didn't pay for the courier option before or you want more copies, the latter amount you stated is what you will pay.

All the best.
Thanks for your response. I actually thought courier fees can be paid after ECA completion o!
