Another tragic accident has been recorded along Lokoja-Abuja expressway. A terrible motor accident involving a passenger bus left at least 2 dead and many others badly injured after crashing on the highway which has recorded series of horrible accidents in recent times...The sad incident happened on Friday, August 26th.

There was panic at Minna airport in Niger state after a woman slumped during the airlift of Hajj. Pilgrims to the Holy Land, Mecca, Saudi Arabia. She was immediately attended to by emergency officials who rushed her for treatment. See pictures below;

The dangerous effects of driving or being driven in an overloaded vehicle cannot be overemphasized. Most drivers in a bid to make quick and extra cash -endanger themselves and put the lives of their passengers at risk. According to reports, this fatal accident which happened after a speeding driver crashed his vehicle along Bafoussam/Mbounda road in Cameroon -saw at least 8 people dead.

Just as most of our driver don't care about road safety anymore and just as roadside enforcement officers will allow driver to do things their way as long as there is money to oil their Palms,we are left with more death everyday. Overloaded vehicle wastes 8 lives some few hours ago along the Bafoussam - Mbounda road. The driver was said to be running at full speed before the crash.Most of those who died are youths.RIP

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and wife in a Thanksgiving service at the Government House Chapel, Owerri, Sunday on his return to the State after his rumored ill-health which kept him out of the state for over 15 days. He was joined by his wife -Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha and other officials.

According to reports, the leader of the gang, General Igbudu and his colleagues had held the towns and villages of Ekpeye kingdom hostage, killing ,maiming , robbing, rapping kidnapping unhindered until they met their Waterloo at Odiemirenyi village were they were said to have earlier attacked an army team attached to a multinational oil firm whose staff were carrying out repair works on a damaged oil pipeline.

It was end of the road for a tricycle (KEKE) rider and his accomplice who specialize in hypnotizing unsuspecting passengers in Akwa Ibom state. They were arrested on Thursday after being caught red handed when their charm failed to work on a young lady.

The incident which caused panic among residents -happened along Oron Road close to Uruan Street, Uyo when their local charm used in hypnotizing their victim refused to work.

They were beaten and later handed over to Ewet Housing Estate Police officers who came to their rescue.

Governor Rochas Okorocha who recently returned to the country -went on an early morning inspection of state projects and at various points stopped to address Imo people on the position of government in a bid to appraise them on the policies and projects of his administration. He was mobbed by excited residents who gathered to see him....

The governor also announced the restriction of movement of articulated vehicles within the city to 11pm as they now constitute traffic menace. He called for patience and understanding from the people while assuring them of the timely completion of the projects.
