Men of the Enugu state command of the Nigeria Police Force have nabbed and caged six notorious armed bandits that have been terrorising the lives of the innocent citizens of Opanda, Nimbo and Adani Axis of Uzouwani local Government Area of Enugu state and its environs.

The suspects who were arrested on Friday, Sept 9th -gave their names as Ernest Umeh, Okwudili Ugwuoke, Sunday Agbo, Arinze Agu,Ezeata Ugochukwu, Arinze Agu and Nnamdi ojobo are helping the police in their investigations in relation to their alleged nefarious activities ranging from armed Robbery,burglary amongst others.

It was gathered that suspects were taking off guard by the operatives at suspects various locations following a tip off from members of the public.

However,manhunt on the remaining gang members have been intensified.

Recovered from suspects Cut to size locally made gun,Two short axes and some exhibits like TV Set,DVD,six handsets suspected to have robbed from their various victims,Standing fan amongst others.

The leader of the gang Ernest Umeh in his reaction regretted every bit of their action and blamed the entire situation to act of satan and promised not to follow the evil ways if he is left off the hook.

The state commissioner of police Emmanuel Ojukwu has applauded the effort of his men and the synergy between his operatives and members of the community and maintained that the command under his watch will continue to partner communities,sister security Agencies and all relevant stake holders to ensure a safe and secured environment.

A very notorious gang leader who had been terrorizing the residents of Makera, Kakuri in Kaduna state -has been killed. According to reports, the murderer, rapist, kidnapper identified as (Dan Na'Ala) -who was allegedly behind the death of a top civilian JTF member in Kakuri, Kaduna, was arrested at Nyanya area of Abuja...

He was brought back to Kaduna after his arrest before meeting his end at the hands of an angry crowd who beat him to death.

The married man with five children was handed over to men of Nigerian Police Force who took him away in handcuffs.

Here's an update on the little boy Abubakar Usman whose eyes were violently removed by suspected ritualists in the ancient city of Zaria in Kaduna State few months ago. According to freelance journalist Femi Owolabi, a kind-hearted man has donated a car to empower the father of the boy....

Few months ago, I told you of how a friend and sister told me to go track Abu, that four years old boy whose eyes were removed by suspected ritualists in Zaria.

I tracked Abu, and did an extensive report about everything, especially how the poor boy had been abandoned by Kaduna State Government who promised him heaven and earth. I told you how we gave Abu a new life, by registering him in a school where 'special' teachers have been hired to help out. I told you that we needed a keke (tricycle) for Abu's father, a driver who at the time was out of job, to use in moving his boy to and fro school and also for commercial purposes so he can, at least, be financially empowered.

Ladies and gentlemen, guests and friends, that person who, this morning, told me not to mention the name gave us the money, and instead of a keke, we got Abu's father a car that has four tyres!

I couldn't make it down to Zaria to do the presentation, but here is my representative doing it.

Troops of 2 Brigade Nigerian Army conducting field training exercise code named “Operation CROCODILE SMILE” have within the last 48 hours discovered and destroyed 74 illegal refineries and quite a number militants and kidnappers camps in various parts of Rivers and Bayelsa States using swan buggy and other specialists equipment.

Troops of Sub-Sector Bravo in response to a tip off on the presence of suspected kidnappers at Akupoku community, carried out a raid at the location. But no arrest was made as the kidnappers have fled the area.

However, the team also raided Ke community, at the verge of the Atlantic ocean where they discovered and destroyed an illegal refinery. The troops recovered and destroyed 3 large cooking pots and 20 tanks filled with illegally refined Automated Gas Oil (AGO).

Similarly, another set of troops also discovered and destroyed another illegal crude oil refinery at Bile. Items recovered and destroyed include 12 large refining cooking pots,

The troops exercising along Abonnema axis were also informed of the presence of suspected kidnappers at Abakrikri Fishing Pot, they swung into action and carried out cordon and search operation, however, no contact or arrest was made.

The troops of 130 Battalion also raided suspected kidnappers camp at Awukiri. Although no contact was made, the troops recovered an AK-47 rifle empty magazine, 6 face masks, 1 machete and several empty shells of expended ammunitions. The troops destroyed the camp. The troops have also intensified search for the kidnappers nests and other criminal elements camp for clearance.

The Medical unit of 2 Brigade has been dispensing free medical service at Twon Brass in Bayelsa State. The troops would continue their field training exercise, while the humanitarian assistance will continue with provision of educational materials and free medical assistance to the host communities this Friday.
