craziest place to work, Lots of petty people there. i worked there, and those where three worst months of a seasoned professional like myself, crazy, petty, unprofessional, I can go on and on and on!

Around 10:30am yesterday, I took my car to a popular motor parts market in calabar(bedwell) to get new tires. I alighted from my vehicle and begun the business of the day.
After 25mins a fair skinned boy probably 24 walked up to me, he said, bros I work your motor last month and I forgot my infinix whatever in you car, he further went on to say he called me, I picked and never returned the phone.

Bros eeh, I ignored him, e no reach 5 mins boys from the area don dey gather, they ask wetin be the matter

At this point, I must confess I became very afraid, you all know why, I immediately called my SARS friend, gave him my spot and told him I was in potential danger.

Omo, the guys come dey ask me mumu question, oga you see the phone true true, oga if an u abeg bring am comot. Then one of them spotted my two iphones and echoed this man no fit collect your phone, his phones are worth over 350k.omo na that time, my voice begin rise, I lost my temper.

Under, 15mins the Sars team arrived, the boys fled. We moved straight to the fathers shop arrested him (he was also there) his son finally reported around 2pm yesterday, his father was released but he is currently in custody NOW.

I am determined to push this case as far as my strength can carry.

Last night, his entire family have been calling me to show leniency.

The real message here is simple, before you throw stones and wood, ask questions. So you dont kill innocent people.

Hey listen, nothing wrong in getting a paid job. Being an enterpreneur is not an easy task, A staggering percentage of businesses dont even make it past the first year.

Always remember this, if you succeed to carve a niche for your business, remember that there are folks out there watching you to birth and nurture your business, and they come in like an avalanche and take your business away from you.

I am a trained sales professional 9years plus. Everyday my collection of businesses give me over 24k'daily excluding sat. You do the maths Guess what I still work 9-5 and I occupy a very priviledged position. I can quit after typing this. But for the sake of loads of unforseen circumstance, I WONT

You guys should take a chill pill.

This is really sad but come to think of it I think the deceased (the Father) ought to have been prepared and ready for intruders knowing fully well that he lives in a deadly area like ibeshe (The Hotspot of these badoo gang). I'm not blaming him for his death but I think he should have armed himself with all kind of weapons. You can't live in such an area with both eyes closed. If you can't afford to move from the area, get a better burglary window, a security dog, arm yourself to the max, I don't believe these badoo gang must have disappeared into their room, at the slightest sound, get up, alarm your "neighbors, get your arms and ammunition and get ready for whatever comes your way... I wouldn't go down without a fight, I might eventually go down, but not without injuring the assailant . RIP

My guy u spokee my mind, one time last year, we had incessant attacks in a street in calabar, thieves took over raping wives, mothers, daughters. It was horrible. I immediately contacted my police friend and he gave me an 14 round Beretta. I gave my wife stern instructions, anyday you notice any break in and am not around, shoot to kill, I repeat shoot to kill. No man can come into my home and kill an entire family. For where that one dey happen.

Sales force is real. They recruit for almost all companies in Anambra State. The consultants name is chinedu, a thorough and stern consultant. Be smart, confident. I got a job via his connect last year, though i moved on almost immidiately to another offer. Goodluck

There are currently 7ps of marketing. Physical presence, process and people. The 4ps were for products and the 7ps encompasses both products and services

While Marketing simply planning and executing the elements of the marketing Mix.

Advertising acts as a channel or conduit (promotion) which is an integral element of the marketing Mix. We can go on and on and on.

Assessment is just another way to prune down the massive number of candidates who applied for a position. This is so common with fresh graduates.

For experienced hire nothing like assessment. It's just interview CV based and a large chunk of luck.

Sometimes I am always sceptical to apply for some jobs with requirement of more years of experience to what I have but with the story of yours, I will take giant step and I believe I will share testimony like you one day.

So far you have relevant experience, please Apply. I once witnessed a scenario where a very young graduate blew us off the roofs in an interview, Though we did not give him that position, we offered another position in our firm.

All this JOB SECURED through Nairaland are too vague.

You may not give details of the company but a simple flow from advert, how you prepared, responded during interview and when offer was made would have been more helpful to the unemployed you are trying to encourage.

Always hold on to this advice, key 1 Believe in yourself. The position is for a regional sales manager with minimum of 12years experience. I only have 7+. I reluctantly applied and was called.

Interview day, I saw grey hairs from top companies also, some with over 20years in sales , at that point I knew I had an even more chance . a few guys came out and reminded us we having to deal with over 8 Sales consultants interviewing you. Lol

Key 2: Dress to kill. I showed up in a 120k suits and over 50k shoes. These interviewers are gonna judge you before you speak

Key 3: Mix confidence with firmness- read up everything about the position, how you have applied them in the past and how you achieved results. Speak good, clear English. In your salary negotiation be very firm. Tell them your pay and please do not appear desperate.

Hello folks,

Humongous thanks to the great men and women putting up job posts on Nairaland. I am grateful

I am same guy who shared a story of how he was mysteriously asked to resign after series of dreams about his son.

The truth is I just landed another mega gig with an even bigger firm.

Few points: I was out of job for barely 1 month and I am posting this to encourage a few unemployed out there.
Do not loose hope yet!!

Prayer: Most important key. God has not finished with you yet.
Network-Dont fail to tell your friends, family, foes you out of work, you never can tell who has an information to share.
Update yourself: get enough certifications, take courses, online courses, whatever. please always update yourself. The trend is shifting and very quickly.

If your 2017 has not been going as planned, please do not despair, for we all can only do as little as hope and pray. And May God hear our fervent prayers this year in Jesus name Amen.

At least you should walk down to wherever you parked and if you dont see your car you can come back and check. This is lagos where people are not smiling. You must use your brain.

It happened to my wife, she drives a 2003 wine colour EOD. When she left spar, she opened a similar car. The ignition refused to start. Immediately she realised some pack of condoms in the passenger seat. She jumped out immidiately and called me. I told her to lock up the car immidiately and and leave that place ASAP. I mobilised a team of army men and started moving towards that direction. Do anyhow you see anyhow.

Some 20 years ago I joined the Vikings confraternity. Out of the 7 us initiated same day one two survived today. It was a horrible and gory experience, so many times I was sent on a mission without return. I had access to all sorts of guns, more than 12 times I was shot at. Multiple gun wounds all over my body. Then the moment of truth, I was arrested with a gun. If not for God I would have been killed. I lost friends, soo many of them. Careers and lives ruined in an instant. As I speak my room mate is doing time in Port Harcourt prison for murder. (Spent 15 years already) I managed to graduate.

I now have a beautiful family, most times I look back at all my sins and atrocities. How on earth did I even survive.

Too all of you reading this, denounce the evil and lead a good life. If you don't, regret will be your portion. May God bless us all..
