PoliticsRe: Oba Of Lagos, Akiolu Organises Prayer For Peaceful Co-existence In Lagos by charlesashilo: 9:24am On Apr 13, 2015
ozoigbondu:
The Oba of Lagos, Alhaji Rilwan Akiolu, on  Sunday organised a prayer session for peaceful co-existence in Lagos and Nigeria in general.

The prayer was conducted at the Iga Idunganran Palace of the royal father on Lagos Island.
Akiolu said that the prayer was imperative to peaceful co-existence in Lagos and Nigeria in general, after peaceful conduct of the general elections in the state.

He urged different tribes in Lagos to work for the progress of the state.

The royal father urged the president-elect, retired Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari to assist Lagos in repairing most of the damaged federal roads in the state.

Akiolu, who spoke in Yoruba language, said that when Buhari came to his palace during the campaign period, he was three hours behind schedule.

He said that Buhari complained of bad roads and he told him that when he becomes the president he should help the state to reconstruct the road.
The Oba said he was sure that God would give him the power to do it.

Akiolu urged the incoming Governor of Lagos, to do what he promised the people.

The prayer was conducted by Imam Mujitabah Giwa, the Alawiye of Lagos and his league of Imams.

Giwa prayed for peaceful coexistence in Lagos and also for political leaders in the country.

Some traditional rulers in Lagos as well as white cap chiefs were present at the prayer session.
Chief Rasak Okoya, Chairman of Eleganza Group was also among some dignitaries present.

Apologized to who?? Go and tell that to you Village Kings or go back to your Village if you can live with it.
Not really your fault. The advancement of Lagos was a s a result of huge federal and capital projects cited by the FG there which attracted much population and investments. We as Nigerians agreed to it and nowthe so called Yorubas think Lagos made itsself and have the guts to ask us to go back to our villages.

If we go back would you do well to leave our resources for us?

How can Ambode denounce him and Tinubu condemn him? Didn't you read read the the Oba's word that he chose Ambode? And APC are ranting that he is not their spokes man.

APC - Lagos State and the Oba should just humble themselves and apologize.

He should first apologize before he is forgiven.
HealthEnugu Orthopaedic Hospital Emerges Global Leader In Cleft Care Management by charlesashilo(op): 4:40pm On Feb 13, 2015
Written by Lawrence Njoku, Enugu

A BOOST was at the weekend added to the effort of the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu (HONE) on Cleft Care when a United States –based organization, The Smile Train presented her with an award of excellence as 2014 Global Leader in the disease.

The Smile Train, Programme Manager, West Africa, Victoria Awazie, said the hospital was adjudged “the best in Cleft Care management” among 86 other countries of the world, saying it was an indication of other good things that can come from Nigeria.

She said the hospital was a well known healthcare organization that combines effective, proven research, cutting-edge procedures and state-of-the-art treatment to produce optimum medical and lifestyle outcomes for its patients.

She said: “The hospital and medical staff provide world-class,

innovative Orthopaedic care in a friendly, compassionate, community environment conducive to patient recuperation in a family atmosphere.

Little wonder it won the award after a thorough survey was conducted”.

Awazie, called on the management of the hospital not to relent but consolidate on what had been achieved so far, stressing that its efforts were being monitored the world over.

Earlier, Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Cajetan Nwadinigwe, said the award was a celebration of the outstanding successes in the Smile Train programmes embarked by he hospital.

He said the idea was to render help to those who had inborn defects, alleviate poverty and restore human dignity.

“So far we have handled more than 500 cases and the affected children can now associate with their peers freely. No more stigmatization on their side.

A particular interest was a lady with cleft challenge but after the surgery, she did not only become normal, she also got married and has children now.

National Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu has been identified as an outstanding centre based on its quality service to the people.

This award that came from a US-based outfit is an encouragement for us to continue to do more to alleviate the sufferings of children. Whoever knows any patient with cleft defect should refer him/her to us. It’s free of charge”, he said.

Also speaking a Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Ifeanyi Onah, said he was not surprised that the hospital won the award based on the quality of service obtainable in the hospital.

“I am not surprised that we offer excellent service. That has been our ambition. I am not surprised that we bequeathed what ordinarily could be offered outside Nigeria. My surprise is that it has been recognized globally”, Onah said.

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to a single, solvable problems like cleft lip and palate.

Millions of children in developing countries with unrepaired clefts live in shame, but more importantly, have difficulty eating, breathing

and speaking.

According to medical experts, Cleft repair surgery is simple, and the transformation is immediate.

The organizers provide training and funding to empower local doctors in the 86 developing countries to provide 100%-free cleft repair surgery in their communities.

PoliticsRe: Annoying Things GEJ/PEJ Apologists Say In Their Defence by charlesashilo: 11:42pm On Nov 06, 2014
Ngwakwe:
GEJ and PEJ is a family name and don't have anything to do with Nigerian Government.

If you have issues with President Jonathan and his Administration then address him as such. Patience Jonathan's problems are her husband's headache as she wasn't elected or is she seeking re-election.

What baffles me most is that the same people shouting Jonathan failed policies and PDP's sixteen years of bad governance are beginning to praise Obasanjo and have gone further to start repackaging him as a great revolutionary and a patriot.

The same people have gone to seek a failed PDP Administrator's approval and consent to support their attempt to grab power.

If you are not conversant with Nigerian Politics and just depended on social and electronic media for the past six months, you may think Goodluck is PDP and PDP is Jonathan since 1998.

What can I say more than to behold an unprecedented double standard in Nigeria politics.

I will always plead with and remind all open minded and independent Nigerians to avoid all those people trying to repackage a Coup plotter, Sharia Advocate, Human Right abuser, a despot and an embodiment of zero experience in Democratic governance as a substitute and a messiah.

Goodluck Jonathan has his fault but not a failure rather he encourages Democracy, build institution and civil liberties, he doesn't favour one region at the expense of another in any shape or form. He believes in one Nigeria and the right of all to share from the national cake which Buhari in his life and next reincarnation won't adopt.

Nigerians deserve better than Goodluck Jonathan's presidency but won't be intimidated to settle for less.
You have elaborated it.

President Goodluck Jonathan will be honouring his wife, the first lady Dame Patience Jonathan with the award of GCFR (Grammar Commander of The Federal Republic). Sources said this is due to the immense contributions of the first lady to English Language in Nigeria. Another reason for this prestigious award is that the first lady has affected a lot of lives positively with her humorous speeches that make Nigerians laugh and forget their sorrows.

This according to Mr. President has increased the life span of an average Nigerian. Example of her speeches include:

* Nigeria is a great CONTINENT.
* My husband and Sambo IS good people.
* I rather KILL myself than to commit SUICIDE.
* My fellow widows.
* I travelled to abroad to rest in peace.
* My husband is the best couple on earth.
* The doctors are responding to treatment.
* For those who said I speech bad English, I left them for God. *Ojukwu is dead, but his Manhood stil lives on.
* Na only you waka come?
* Chai! Chai!! Chai!!! diaris God o...

Please support and honour our first lady by sharing to all

Are you stating here that the bill for the construction of this project was passed by the National Assembly.

OBJ ruled tyrannically with intention to hunt and pay back his enemies. Also with tribal hatred to the SE/SS region of the country.

RomanceRe: Top 10 Tips For A Prefect First Date by charlesashilo: 10:47pm On Oct 16, 2014
Juliaann:
You finally asked the girl you like
out. Of course you want your first
date to be perfect. You have to be a
king of coolness to win her heart.

1 Nigerian ladies prefer confident
and strong guys. So you should be
well prepared.

2 Pick up a right place. It should
not be too “luxury”, but comfortable
and capable with your budget. If
you have no ideas – ask her about
the places she likes. But remember
that the final decision is up to you.

3 Take a small gift. It can be
flowers, chocolate or her favorite
candies. Something that will make
her feel herself special.

4 You should pat for the dinner.
Unless it was she who asked you for
a date. But even in that case you
should deny her proposal to pay the
bills. Remember that Nigerian girls
love confident men.

5 First date shouldn't be very long.
It is better to go to the move or for
a dinner. But if you liked her you
must make her understand that
there will be a second date.

6 Look in her eyes during a
conversation. But not stare as a
pervert. You should not look like you
are just lusting for her.

7 Don`t talk about yourself a lot. It
is better to get know her better on a
first date. Of course answer her if
she asks some questions about you.
But you should leave some mystery.
Then she would like to meet you
again. Of course if she liked you.

8 Be funny. But just funny to make
her laugh, don`t pretend to be a
stupid person. If you can make
woman laugh you can make her do
anything for you.

9 Be natural. You should not
pretend to be a person you want
yourself to be.

10 Think about your look. Nigerian
girls will surely pay attention at your
clothes and hair. So be nice and
dress nicely. Be well-groomed but
not too much. Be confident and
sincere and then everything will be
well!

you can add yours
Nice. thanks.

Great! Achieving feats that allows Nigerians to do business without bounds like other global genuine business men/women in developed countries.

Think of the barriers that UBA Africard have mended and now we can send/transfer money to over 200 countries including U.S.A, U.K and China.

I can remember a time I got frustrated because I need to send out money through Western Union as I was informed that as Nigeria/ Nigerian I cant send out money but only to receive.

UBA have reasons well like a global bank for Africa/African.

First all of when I read the post, I loved the concept but the next was to verify whether the Platform works or not.. I logged in to the demo section I was provided and I was captivated about the product, cos its sell-able and easy to promote, I just spoke to a school down my street and showed them the demo section and the proprietor just said awesome! Immediately I said within me this is a confirmed client and immediately I contacted the developers of the Platform and that was how it happened Ooooo... And I just deducted my commission from the fee paid by the school and sent the company's own..

If its some Nairalander they will go do an e-book and will say they will sell the info but I will give you the thread link for free so you can go read the details also..... So Enjoy!!!!!
