When we talk of coolant, we are not talking about abro coolant... That is fake coolant


My summary here is even if you are using the correct vicosity engine oil , and u are using water instead of coolant, u are deceiving urself, or better if you are using thicker oil thinking it will protect ur engine from wear and tear, and u are using water instead of coolant, the car owner is deceiving himself........

Now in terms of thicker, thicker oil should only be used as a last result.. Now if you need more engine oil protection after making sure you are using original coolant..

You can use high mileage engine oil. A recommended oil brand with a proven track record.

What engine oil brand do you use for the engine and ATF do you use for the transmission?

Based on experience; gear box

And I think that’s due to not using the required viscosity of the ATF oil needed. This will affect the gear(transmission). That’s according to the research I have made on my own Elantra2008.

Please any Elantra 2008 owner here, what oil do you use to service your car and what ATF do you use ?
