saengine: I'll leave my reply very short because i refuse to waste my time. Combat troops deploy with engineers. Engineers deploy with the necessary equipment needed in the region the troops will be fighting in. You clearly didnt do geograpghy because rivers and lakes dont "suddenly" appear out of nowhere. Maps of the area would have been studied, and necessary equipment needed to deal with the terrain brought along.
Amphibious vehicles are good, but a bad idea for very large bodies of water. Chances are your enemy will have a brown water navy. Their purpose built boats will tear your Cobras appart. So good luck taking your Cobras accross the Atlantic ocean....and watch your men turned into mince. Did you not hear Rivers. Why Apcs in the ocean when you have armoured gunboats? Good luck building your engineer deployed bridge across the Atlantic |

andrewza: The badger is not a dream. In fact there are has many bashers in SA has BTR4 is Nigeria. You do know your BTR4 are from a batch Iraq rejected due to it not being up to standard. Most of the 47 where taken by the Ukraine army. You have a tiny number of Iraq rejects. Speculations without evidence! |

patches689: Hahaha - the delusions continue.
Yes they were compared - and apart from top speed the BTR-4 was inferior in every conceivable catagory
- Badger has better armor - Carrys more men - Better situational awareness - Better weapons systems - All weapons systems have longer effective ranges - better troops carrying capacity - more modular design makes it more versatile - more advanced optics and communications - better mine and IED protection - better performance in combat (surviving multiple RPG and IED hits in Iraq)
Badger iFV is hands down the most dangerous, best protected, most advanced IFV in Africa and a world leader in its class - and we are getting 236 of them
And we dont care about so called "secret arsenals" we care about what can be proven. Oh God, I thought that we were done arguing about what you wish you have> Keep dreaming about the Badger while the Btr 4E s are doing their job. |

Smh. Buhari's undemocratic past and future also creates political refugees. Democracy is freedom. Vote democratically. |

However, let us do away with negative talks and admit that SA military academy has always offered the best academic military training in the world for many years. It had always been recognised as the best in the world. Nigeria does not have a military academy to that level. You must either be delusional or plain stupid to just speer nonsense. Politics › Re: Implications Of Nigeria’s Abstention On Palestinian Vote by charlos14: 2:08pm On Jan 07, 2015 |
sweetgala: Within you second line is the un-doing .
Before that particular incident what existed on that land was colonial British protectorate , on the eve of the expiration of that mandate while Egypt,Jordan and neighboring Arab nations fought for the spoils of land some Zionist came along(migrated to) and declared independence based on "the bibles" description of ancient Jewish land.
A two state system is best as the true people that have suffered are the indigenous Palestinians, descendants of Jews , European Christians and ottoman people from the crusades. Jerusalem has always been no-man's land even in the bible it was never explicitly occupied by Jews , so Israel wanting to keep it is silly.
Are you crazy? Jews have lived in Israel prior to 1948.
The UN need to take over administration of Jerusalem and give it similar designation as the Holy see because it contains artifacts , ruins and religious significance to some of the worlds major religions equally. |
Politics › Re: Implications Of Nigeria’s Abstention On Palestinian Vote by charlos14: 1:14pm On Jan 07, 2015 |
Ngwakwe: Our stand on Palestine is basically all about Islam and nothing more.
Did you read the resolution or are you commenting on you usual belief that Nigeria is Islamic country?
The Palestinians pray facing Mecca while the Jews pray facing Jerusalem and a lunatic puts up a write up for Jews to vacate Jerusalem within 3 years leaving the remnant of Solomon's temple and every Jewish antiquities for the Arabs, failure to abide by this will attract multi-national forces to remove Jews from East Jerusalem and you want Nigeria to vote YES?
You think all Nigerians think like Buhari, the unwired veteran. At least someone here have some sense. When Jews from around the world came to Israel in the 1940s and proposed a two state solution, guess wtf happened? Egypt, Syria, Jordan and co promised to push the Jews back to the sea. Palestinians should go fight the stupid neighbors not Israel and besides all the Christian and Jews artifacts in Muslim hands? Dummy please Nigeria should have voted against just like the US and Australia did. |

patches689: First, this is a ridiculous notion about "snipers" hitting a moving target, while under fire. Further, you have yet to prove that a snipers round will knock it out
Second, your BTR has not 360 degree veiwfinder
Snipers are well hidden and with you saying this, I am beginning to doubt if SA has any good sniper.
Snipers hit stationary and moving targets.
You say the BTR is better, yet as usual you cannot tell us why. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by charlos14: 7:50pm On Jan 03, 2015 |

mzilakazi: It is not easy that its sensors can be disabled by any means. There is only one chance out of thousand chances that it can happen. However, if that can happen, there is always an alternative. The badger uses a complicated tech which is beyond the tech of an outdated BTR4. Did they not teach you probability in school? it's 1 in a million chance for a sperm cell to fertilize an egg but it still happen most of the time. Seem like you have some more specification of the Badger which we don't know off. |
