Mild swelling is normal but when it's hard and has pus then your baby need to see a doc..treat as urgent as possible. I would had suggest you rub Vaseline but the boil is a sign of an infection

I treated my baby malaria @ 3weeks bcoz he was running high temp
gave him antibiotics plus coartem
so pls follow ur doc's prescription

u could rub a little bit of shea butter . other than that dont do anytin. it might take a while but it would go down n soften. same happened to DD@ 10weeks immunization

one week old is supposed to pop 3-4times daily
pls give enough warm water, massage his tummy always, using d washcloth pour water(nt very hot) on his Anus during bath. u might stop d formula and continue breastfeeding till d constipation stops

Yes I have a breast pump but it's manual and the most I've been able to get is 90ml from the left breast when it was engorged (I was giving him the right breast more as that was the first side to heal)

If I pump without the breast being engorged, I mostly get 30ml or 50ml which is small

I don't mind taking the fenugreek seeds. Any idea how I can get it?

since baby is fully developed and only adding fat is dia any disadvantage of been induced without waiting for labor. cos I no want big baby and last scan says baby is 3kg+

Things you can do to save money as a new mum
- breast feed exclusively. It will save you money for formula and hospital.
- don't buy sterilizing set or bottles until necessary. Some babies move from breast to cup or spoon. Mine used only one bottle. Refused avent bottles used Tommy tippee. I bought avent sterilizing unit too.
- potty train as soon as possible. Diaper is costly! I stopped using Huggies. Later went to premium pampers. I plan to explore cloth diaper with my new baby.
- for girls buy one pink shoe and one black shoe. It will go with all outfits. I bought plenty expensive shoes. I realize it wasn't necessary.
- until they can walk and be appreciated when they dress, buy just needs. Inner tees, body suits, and outing cloths. Nothing frivolous. I was busy sewing mini me cloth and buying plenty cloths. Some she wore few times before she couldn't again.
- for things that are constant buy in bulk.
- lastly Pray well, it will save you and LO and DH from sickness, lack, unforeseen problems and it only cost your time.
I just tot I should drop my two cents. It may not be for everyone, but take what you can.
