Greenlandncom: Thank you for your interest! I think 15% monthly interest rate is fair enough, that means for every N1,000,000.00, you get an interest of N150,000.00 every month for the next six months. Let us not cripple the business with anything higher. We will like to take up a responsibility that we can fulfill. If it is okay by you, let's talk further. You may leave me your email here. Thank you. Send the proposal to me too harvestercharles@gmail.com Warm Regards |

dejia: Hi Guys,
Sorry i have been off the trend lately. let me quickly answer some of those who sent me personal messages
@ fayahsoul: No., A.I is diff, we inseminate them with semens, i will try and post some of the pictures of me in the process; you can also google it
@ Konnet: My farm is at Laduba ( towards Afon); am based in SA, but come to the farm monthly, i will be in 9ja in 3weeks, will prefer you come then, e-mail: deji@fulfillsa.co.za
Read a post on adding yeast to feed, i think i will try it; i have also been experimenting some thing of late, and it seems to be working fine, i have introduced Rice husk ( some feedmill will call it rice bran, but it is husk most times) as 25% of my feed, rice husk at some feedmills in ilorin is N10-N13; i discovered a place, where it is free of charge in Lafiagi, i have used it to as a to lower my cost for my sow and finishers;
My view on buying weaners and fattening: if you do the maths, it is very profitable, because if you can get weaners like u said for N3,500; but i have a diff. view, if you get your sow management right, and you are able to ensure all process is followed, then breeding is more profitable, because you should be able to atleast wean 23 piglets from a sow each year.
Guys,
Can we start a young pig farmers club? I think most of here are young , i think with the club we can achieve alot, the market is huge, i think together we can do more, we can create biggier market, we can expand the market,;few people in nigeria, still see pork has a fatten/ unhealthy meat, they dont know that pork is white meat, healthier than beef or goat meat. Also, We can collectively look into processing, i think that is the future, at the moment, we still have imported pork coming into Nigeria, because few farms process. We can conveniently sell our pork for twice or thrice what we sell for at the moment, if we process them; With the club/association, we can have some who specialise in breeding, some in fattening, some can go into A.I, we can negotiate feed prices better, cut out the middle men, who get brewery waste, and sell it to us at high prices, we can go straight to the company, and get it off them in bulk and distribute it.
Just my thought, i dont know if something like that has failed before, if anyone also feels this might not work, i will like to know I'm interested in the club/association formation. We can work it out. 09090912404 (WhatsApp/sms only). Contact me asap. Thanks |

Agriculture › Re: Long Awaited Egusi {Melon} Storage Business Season Is On Now by charony(m): 1:47pm On Aug 07, 2014 |
dav8id: Before the Nairaland data loss i have wrote a small post regarding this business EGUSI STORAGE BUSINESS.
Its nothing but its just a kind of business were you buy egusi at cheap price during the harvest time (now ) at farm gate price directly from farmers through local purchase agent , then store the egusi for 2 to 3 months or more months for reselling at 100 to 300% profit. The longer your store the higher the profit. Last year we invest in this business by buying size 29 bag of egusi at 12k and then resell at 28k by november same year while some sell same size of bag at 48k around march this year.
Current price of size 29 bag of egusi is now is 13k .Note agro produce price are not stable and egusi price might likely increase or decrease as the case maybe.
Why egusi storage business? You dont need marketing. Yes buyers are always around to buy from you whenever you want to sell it.the demand is morethan the supply. You buy at the egusi market, you store it at same market, buyer come to same market from different state and buy from you in same market.
You buy directly from local purchase agent whom charge you commission per bag. You will be incharge of your money.you will be there when the agent is making the purchase for you but its more profitable if you can release money to the agent to go into the remote area and make the purchase for at a very killer price .thats is my style.
You make the purchase, you store the egusi in the store and pay for the store fee, you walk away, when the price increase the agent wil alert you and you give order for the resel simple.
Location Lafia in Nasarawa state.
I will be updating this thread with the latest news of the market.
All question should be drop here.
Others commodities like maize.soya beans are yet to be in the market.
For help call 07037781319 PLEASE, HOW MANY KG IS IN THE SIZE 29 BAG? Please what is the cost of transporting to Anambra state? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT SIZE 29 BAG IS LIKE. THANKS |

Pot calling kettle black. I'm beginning to believe that Ngige doesn't really know what he wants......if not because of his pending (gubernatorial) court case during the last Anambra council elections, from the look of things, maybe he would have contested for his LG council chairman . Makes me wonder what he is doing at the Senate |
