Autos / If You Want To Purchase A Car On Loan, Use This App For Easy Calculation by Charpell(m): 2:20am On Nov 22, 2016
Hello Auto forum, 3 months ago I developed IQSolar app for both solar and non-solar users.
https://www.nairaland.com/3229993/solar-app-been-launched-google

Today I added a feature to my app collection which allows for loan payments.
Financial institutions here in Nigeria are now offering car loans to individuals and businesses.

The feature was originally intended for people who want to purchase solar energy but can’t afford the initial cost, to manage expectation. The same principle also applies to other huge acquiring assets like house, cars, land etc

Example:
Let’s say you want to buy a car valued at N1,000,000 at 15% and repay it over 1 year, with no down payment.

To calculate:
Enter “1,000,000” as the Total Price, “15” as the Rate, and “12” as the Term in months, “0” as Down Payment.

From the screenshot, it requires you to pay N90,258 monthly and it would cost you approximately N83,099 to use the Loan Plan

Technology Market / Solar App; Loan Payment Plan Feauture Added To Iqsolar App by Charpell(m): 5:11pm On Nov 20, 2016
Hello everyone, 3 months ago I developed IQSolar app for solar energy users.
Here is the thread to read about it https://www.nairaland.com/3229993/solar-app-been-launched-google

Today I decided to add the Loan payment feature for both solar and non-solar users to make loan calculation for future decisions.
We all know the major barrier of purchasing solar system is the initial cost. Since the Government has failed to provide incentive for solar energy users, like how it’s been done in other countries, we are left in the hands of private company ready to finance. Thanks to new companies springing up that allows solar payment in installments.

This new plan spread your total payment over a 6-12 months period, allowing you to afford the initial cost.
With IQSolar, you can determine the monthly payment plan over the course of 2 years and the interest you will pay.
You can use the same feature for not only solar installment but also for other huge access acquiring things like house, cars, land etc

To see how much interest you should expect to pay over the life of your fixed-rate loan, use the calculator below.

Example:
Let’s say you want to buy the complete set of 1kVa solar energy system valued at N250,000 at 10% rate to repay over 2 years, with a down payment of 30%.

To calculate:
Enter “250,000” as the Total Price, “10” as the Rate, and “24” as the Term in months, “30” as Down Payment.

From the screenshot below, it requires you to pay N8,075 monthly and it would cost you approximately N19,000 to use the Loan Plan

Business / My Experience With Access Bank And Stanbic Bank by Charpell(m): 12:52pm On Oct 02, 2016
Two weeks ago, I desperately needed to make an online purchase via my debit card but I was denied access, no thanks to Sterling bank that has stopped international payment transaction. I had no choice other than to open a new account in another bank to obtain a new Mastercard.

I have always heard bad news about access bank online but I still decided to try their service. I carried my 2 legs to one of their branch in Ogunlana Drive, Surulele.

When i entered the bank, it took time before the customer care could attend to me and when they did, I explained to them that the reason i wanted an account was to get a MasterCard ASAP, they said my account will be ready soon. Filled the form, gave them my documents. They rejected my Electricity bill because it was dated May, haba this was the same document I used to activate my Sterling account some minute ago and they accepted, how come Access is rejecting it. I came back in 2 days time hoping my account will be ready, I gave them my June bill and they rejected it again. They said it must start from atleast July, which kind wahala be this? What is the different between June and July? Worst still my account was yet to be opened

The staff apologized and gave me his number, so I can send him send him a scan copy via whatsapp instead of leaving my house everytime. I thanked him, sent him the scanned copy the next morning, there was no response from him or from the bank. Waited another 3 days, no response then I decided to go to the bank for the 3rd time to know the delay. They told me my account cant be opened because my name was compromised on the system. All this while I have been waiting, they didn’t deem it fit to call, text or mail me of a problem.
They asked if I was affiliated to any political party, ever been involved in any fraudulent activity, ever taken a loan. I filled a form to clear my name and prove I was innocent.

I was already getting frustrated, opening an account has now become a big deal, or was it because I went their myself or maybe access bank has so many customers in their database and have started rejecting some persons, or so I thought.

Two days later I called the staff that was in charge of my account opening to know the update, he didn’t pick, sent him whatsapp message, the messages was received but he didn’t reply. Since nobody wants to call me, i went to the bank for the fourth time to have answers on why the delay, the staff wasn’t around, they customer care told me to drop my number they will call me, uptil now nobody has called.
By now dollars has increased from 420 two weeks ago to 500+ today, this means I have lost about N8,000 from my budget.

On Friday, I tried Stanbic Bank. As soon as I entered the bank, a fine gentleman walked up to me to know what I wanted, I told him I wanted to open an account. He took me to one of their Vip’s room and assigned a staff to me. Together will filled the form and within 15 minutes we were done. I didn’t bring any form of ID, so he asked if I had a soft copy. From my phone, I went to my dropbox account and downloaded my a soft copy of my International passport, sent to him via Bluetooth, gave him my 2 passpot and N2,000 for the account opening. I noticed he didn’t ask me my name, when i told him, he said there is no need since he has my BVN. I didn’t even spend up to 30 minutes in the bank and I left.

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical because I thought my name and BVN would show error like how the access bank were suspecting me, lo and behold it didn’t take up to 24 hours and my account was opened. I got the message from Stanbic Bank yesterday that 1,050 was deducted for the Mastercard and the remaining in my balance. I am hoping to get my card on Tuesday.

Access Bank has failed in its customer care service, i am not angry because my profile had errors on their database, its not a bad thing to increase your security protocol when opening an account but the problem is they lack common business Etiquette. I mean what does it take your to call your customer if there is a problem and inform them to come clarify issues. Worst still, I was the one doing the calling and texting and they were just ignoring me.

If they don’t want to open an account for me, they should have told me rather than delaying giving me false hopes. See what they have caused me, two weeks fa. A delay of 2 weeks has increased my budget to N8,000. sad sad sad

Hope they are now happy. angry

Nice innovation....but exactly what number of appliances can your 1.2kVa model carry.
Also, after the 1year warranty expires, what components of this system are susceptible to going bad & would require repair or replacement??
I live in a tenanted apartment, can this solar installation work or it is just for people who are building and would want to incorporate solar energy, as your thread title states??

Expecting your response.
1 Bulb, fan, Tv, Decodet, Computers. We also make above 1.2kva
2 The components are rugged and durable an would less likely be subjected to fault.
3 The post is for everyone, i only posted it here to update my thread for people who may be interested. This is the original thread https://www.nairaland.com/3364526/locally-produced-integrated-solar-energy

Hope this helps

Hope for people in need of better electricity in Nigeria

The Urban Dweller is a complete system that integrated every solar component required for 24 hours electricity. This new innovation is capable of creating more employment for youth as mass production is expected to be blossom at the end of this year.

With the ever increasing demand for constant and stable power supply in Nigeria, the quest for sustainable energy in Nigeria has gone through many phases, all aiming towards reliable, affordable and clean means of power supply.

Our newly designed products, the Urban Dwellers (UD) Series, have gone through many stages of evolution over time with each new one having a better feature than the previous. Our driving force on each modification is to arrive at a product that meets all engineering design, a product that customers can trust to be reliable at all time and most especially a product that is simple to operate. The Urban Dweller eliminates the frustration from the shortages of power experienced from the national grid.

The Urban Dweller offers aesthetics to the core, ruggedized in operation and simple user interface. We ensured all electrical connections were properly embedded inside the system for simplicity of use. The only requirement from the user is to plug his Load to the Output of the system and then plug our product to a charging port. With the solar port for charging, off-grid energy is provided for the client.

Why we decided to develop this model?
In the course of our installation work across in Nigeria, we have had course to work in different households were connections are exposed and this hasn't been a good sight to behold. Apart from the above, previous users were exposed to the potentials of an electric shock. The potential of electric shocks cannot be mildly talked about especially when you have kids living in such apartments. We have heard of and seen many of such cases and this lead to the search for a better way to solve the problem and we came up with this embedded system.

How it works.
The UD Series, with Models 1 – 6, features generated power comparable to that of a fossil fuel generator but there is no need for fuel, no need for engine oil, no need for servicing and it won’t stop producing power. It utilizes the power from the sun, and converts it to electrical energy which is used to power your house, even at night. All UD Series Models are available at the moment only in Lagos.
Customers in any location in Nigeria can also place orders for the UD series. The UD series doesn’t produce any extra heat and is very eco-friendly with artistic beauty and a one year warranty.

We believe that this new invention of the UD/RD series will spark up a new dimension in the design and deployment of power units within the country. We currently have the product functioning at full capacity in some households and offices and the result has been very awesome. The UD/RD Series is the way to go when you think of a sustainable and efficient power.

Advantage of the Urban Dweller Over theConventional System
1. A single unit of solar integrated component
2. It is plug and play
3. The system is portable with 4 rugged tires underneath, it can easily be moved around with the handle
4. Risk of electrocution overcome
5. You can pay in Installments
6. Inbuilt AC socket/ DC socket
7. Inbuilt USB port for Phone Charging
