For the blood transfusion, I do not support the JW's assertions that transfusion is the same thing as consuming blood (which the Bible forbade).
Their explanation to it all is just to support their beliefs.
How can you refuse transfusions but ingest tablets and capsules? Abi you no know most are for blood?
As a human being, you don't just take all what another human being says without doing your own research. That's why you have a brain, papi!
I hope the Gov body doesn't wake up one day and approve blood transfusion, just the way they approved beards and pants. When I see how witnesses now wear a full beard, I cannot help just be amazed by the hypocrisy! |

hopexter: If you were not a stupid human being aiding and abetting criminals, the comments wouldn’t be your problem but rather the continuous mentioning of a particular tribe at every crime committed both home and oversea should be. There are more than 100 ethnicities in Nigeria but why is it the igbos that are involved in all? What sort of desperation and quick money syndrome would make a particular tribe to be named in drug trafficking, armed robbery, fake products production and distribution, kidnapping, baby factories etc.
These animals deserve all the names they call them. I don’t see how a particular tribe will be tarnishing the country’s name oversea and here in Nigeria and you expect people to be quiet about it. You never mentioned Ogunde, or aren't they three again? Why can't you call the spade a spade and name all three criminals? Tribal warrior two Kobo. Na only online una get mouth, offline una bi ice. |

en0uwem: Nairaland is totally gone. The tribalism can never end.
I've been here since 2008, and this is the worst I've ever seen.
People now have a WhatsApp group where they search for negative news that involves a particular tribe, post it here, and send their group members to flood here with negative tribalistic comments.
All you need to do is check their monikers, their topics and replies. Check out their usage of the bold text feature.
How did we allow nairaland to get to this level? It is so sad! The administration of Nairaland supports it. It grows their forum. Plus most of the admins are in on it; they only have to change accounts to comment. |

Health › The Rate of Unprofessional Conduct in the Medical Profession in Nigeria by chatinent(op): 11:01am On Dec 29, 2024 |
I have immense respect for all medical professionals who uphold high standards of professionalism. However, unprofessional conduct is still a troubling issue.
I have some bad experiences in some hospitals but I'll talk about one I experienced recently in a pharmacy. I recently visited a pharmacy and overheard the chief pharmacist and her apprentice discussing the medical condition of a man who had just left. They were openly talking about his infection in a very casual manner. Is this acceptable? Aren't there rules about patient confidentiality?
While I was still there, one of them called out, "Who is here for the Syphilis drugs?" You should have seen the embarrassment on the patient's face. He didn't respond immediately and later, when he did, it led to a quarrel. The pharmacist's defense was, "Is syphilis something to be ashamed about?"
Unfortunately, this lack of discretion isn't isolated to this one place. It's prevalent in many healthcare settings in Nigeria. Even when you go for lab tests, you might find yourself becoming the subject of gossip the next moment. This is a serious breach of trust and confidentiality that needs to be addressed.
We cannot be entrusting our lives to quacks with verbal diarrhoea.
I'm sure many other have their experiences to tell. |
