What they call standup comedy in Nigeria is a 20% repetition of old jokes, and 80% begging for money.

The only Nigerian comedian I've watched so far that didn't do this, dished out intelligent jokes for over two hours and wasn't all about begging money is Bovi.

Actually, I have heard of a case where it worked and seen the results. The killer even travelled as far as to Abuja and still returned begging for forgiveness because the spirit won't let him rest and was always pushing him to accidents.

Also, history has it that bad people also reconfigure the command jujucally so that the spirit goes after his own family!

These traditional things work.

The reason they are there is to work! The corruption in Nigeria has become so bad that we have to praise public officials doing their duties because we can actually do nothing to those who don't.

Crime › Re: Police Arrest One Over Cow Poisoning In Benue by chatinent: 8:45am On Mar 31, 2025
This is a lie:

“We received reports from our members that a criminal poisoned rice chaff and invited one of our members to graze his cows on it,” Muhammed explained.

“Sadly, 13 cows died immediately, and seven others are under treatment.”
The farmer poisoned the crops because the herders bring cows to his farm to feed on crops he planted. And because the govt protects these herders and their herds more than human lives, he had no choice.

Mine..

I was going to Benue and passed a village in Otupka, na so I meet the first one wey dey shout "fire fire fire."

I looked in the rear and saw no smoke. I didn't stop.

I wasn't even done mentally cross-checking myself and what I just heard when another guy on the road started again: "oga, fire fire."

You know, this would normally trigger your instincts that the first guy may be right, right? Gbamsolutely.

When I heard it, I was like...Ha! What is this nitori oloun. I checked my rear again and no smoke. I looked in my bonnet, no smoke. Where the fire come dey take burn? Cos nothing much even dey back of the car wey fit catch fire. Which kind fire without smoke bi this?

I drove on again without stopping because the road was lonely. Crazy thing was that some seemingly looking passerbys was waving me to stop pointing to the back, as though affirming what these guys were saying that I was on fire.

I check my dashboard. No unusual alerts about heat! Oginikwa! I was confused. I was a new driver so there's this overly incoming care that you'll apply to every info about your car! Car wey I bin just buy then tear nylon o.

And I met the third guy. Even this one was dramatic. He shouted "fire, fire, come down oga!" then acted like he was looking for sth and later found his "lost" fire extinguisher and was running towards it with me.

Honestly, one part of my brain was about stopping me to check, or even coming down and just distance myself from the car before I explode. But I observed the road and cars weren't flocking. It's so much a lonely road! It's just me, these flock of red eye guys and the next car is far away that the dust had even enveloped it. Omo, I just decide at that juncture to drive am reach where people full first then check the car. Survival instincts kicked in first.

I reached a busstop close by and came down to check. Nothing was wrong.

That's was when I understood the format. The format using three people and even staged passerbys makes it look like it's real but never you stop or you'll pay dearly.

Since I knew this format already, I've experienced many more similar to it and I still don't stop. Some even start chasing you with a fake plate number as if yours fell. Some will form as though they are stranded and even fake a pregnant woman or a kid needing emergency.

Better carry your Onyeoma CY attitude dey go and save your life.

Be careful fam. It's a long format they use but new drivers may not know.

If you are travelling on the road and someone starts telling you that sth is wrong with your tyre or starts screaming "fire, fire, fire," do NOT STOP! Even if the first person tells you, and you meet another person as you drive by who says the same thing, and a third, DO NOT STOP!

You could be robbed, kidnapped, or killed.

If sth is wrong with your tyres, you'd know from the steering wheel, or from your dashboard! If sth is wrong with the back, your mirrors will reveal it.

Save a life today by sharing.

If you've experienced sth like this too, kindly share your experience..
