Fashion / Re: My Business Is Sinking. Please Help! by chatupkay: 7:30pm On Sep 12, 2019
Oga. I recommend the following from experience. i dont usually comment but i push by ur desire to grow ur business to respond.

(1) Try to contact your customers... why? because ur bizness is built around customers not fine offices. Try to get honest feedback from them. Instead of spending on ADS. Spend on calls to reach out to your customers to get feedback. Im sure those feedbacks will give a clue on wat to adjust and also gives u tips on how to proceed

(2) If you don't get meaningful feedback then i will suggest you relocate to another place. possibly a smaller place with low cost of rent.... u have two things to gain from that step (a) eliminate any spiritual inclination to ur issue & (b) u r cutting ur cost to bearest minimum level.

(3) Try to recall/retrace your steps you took from the day you relocated your business. Any new trainee/staff or girlfriend? e.t.c .... if u suspect any, my guy please just change ur circle of friends/staff or girlfriend --- spiritual things may be involved.

(4) Reveiw the business 360 degree..... their may be a need to change ur marketing strategies. for example, there was a time JUMIA and KONGA was in vogue. However, these days im no longer sure of dat... so we are in a dynamic environment. ur business strategies need to be reviewed everytime. U might need to look at how u market ur products. by change from online ADS to giving to incentives to existing customers to convincing their friends to come and sew at ur place.

(5) Cut down on unnecessary expense until the business picks again. GOODLUCK MY GUY.

So many people are terribly traumatised. We need to give depression and mental issues (not necessarily insanity as we tend to believe) more attention in our society. Some people require just little support emotionally, financially or morally to make them thrive. Let's focus more by showing love to those around us whichever way is possible.

Nice one! ... D issue is dat we grown so cold, selfish and insensitive to others around us. Talkless of giving any support to neighbors.

Social media is shreading away our ability to genuinely connect with people. It's an era of me,myself and I.

Majority of us care more abt "no of likes" on their facebook page & "no of followers on instagram Dan a depressed neighbor.

The websites are examcrown.com, examsort.com, naijaclass.com, waecexpo.com and guruslodge.com

The operators of the sites demanded that MTN recharge cards be sent to their phone numbers, which are 09069072051, 07063609771, 08167593558, 07032581573 and 08154766482.

They demanded N400 for link to the answer websites and N800 for direct SMS of the answers to candidates’ phones

While examcrown and examsort later resorted to Internet bulk SMS, using their codenames, EXAMCROWN and EXAMSORT, to update our correspondent, others used telephone numbers, including 08101038699, 07068088239.

You should be more supportive. I married in 2009, I had multiple cysts, no ovulation as well. I ran from pillar to post. Did all sorts of treatment. Finally, after 5 years my husband said STOP! Let's just STOP and enjoy our lives. My mother in law said STOP, let go and let God. I had a support system that made me feel not having a baby is not the end of the world. Doctors said I should come for IVF, they saw one blocked tube. Hubby said no. Infact, he took me abroad for a long awaited honeymoon, after 5yrs. I came back pregnant, even he wasnt expecting it. He said it was too sudden. Can you imagine After delivery, got pregnant with another baby the following month. My two deliveries were 10months interval. With no ovulation.

My husband refused to touch me after the 2nd pregnancy. Said I was a magnet. Took counselling for him to finally come close. He has been begging me not to get pregnant again, but I want twins grin
With no ovulation.

As I am, I get a period once in 6mths, without intervention. I only know I'm pregnant because I start vomiting. Because there is no period to say 'I missed my period'.

My point is... Be patient, and work with your woman. Who said God cannot turn around a situation? You have given up on your wife, and that is not Godly.

Can two work together except they agree? You need to put away the strange woman and work with your wife. You have only been married 6 years. There is a lifetime ahead of you. These are just bumps along the way.

If I tell you the one my husband did to me. I asked him to inspect a property. He said it was good, he liked the area, it is something he has been looking for. As a the doting wife, I gave him the money to help me buy it. He bought it in his name. The world has not ended. I was angry, but he has my mumu button.

As we are, I have used sense to collect back the money over time. I never said, give me back my money. But for everything I send a budget for, I inflate the cost. Even money for the schoolchool fees, diapers and food. I am shopping for another property which I will buy in my name. I will tell him, for info purposes only. This life is wisdom. So I should have divorced him because he played a fast one on me?

When I confronted him, he said I am a woman, I should be submissive. Ok, in submission, no problem, we will meet on the bed at night, where he cannot say no to my demands.

I never wanted to comments on this. But, i had to
because u r such a wonderful and understanding woman. I wished all women could understand how d a guy's mind work. "FIRE FOR FIRE" approach in marriage don't usually provides a positive result.

U r such a rare gem.

Hired militia you say? This post by Roz Ben-Okagbue says it all:

Ozubulu... death of the innocent

Yesterday gunmen stormed into a Catholic church in Ozubulu and gunned down members of the congregation who were attending Sunday mass. As the drama unfolded and social media was agog with gory pictures, the rumour mills started grinding and the blame was immediately directed at all sorts of terrorist groups. As the day progressed, however, the truth filtered through and it was revealed that the source of this massacre was an enemy within otherwise known as Greed.

It is said that innocent people lost their lives in the incident but let us ask ourselves, is anyone really innocent in this? Can any of us claim to be innocent? Are we really surprised that this incident occurred? Have we not been courting this enemy for several years now in Igboland? Is it something that started today?

According to reports corroborated by the governor of Anambra state, the incident was the outcome of a drugs war between two drug barons from Ozubulu who were fighting over a debt arising from a drugs deal. Having gone to the house of one of the barons known as “Bishop” and not finding him home, the gunmen proceeded to the church to seek him out and kill him. They marched into the church, saw his father and opened fire killing everyone who was in the way. What gave them the impetus to march into the church premises with their guns and open fire on ‘holy grounds’, committing an act that is a total abomination? They clearly did not recognize the holiness of the premises after all they were aware that the church was built from the proceeds of crime and drug sales. As far as they were concerned, they were home!

And that is where the problem lies. That is where we should begin to question our own innocence in this matter. Is there anyone in that town who was unaware of “Bishop’s” reputation or the source of his wealth? Didn’t the priests accept his blood money to build their church? Didn’t the villagers attend the church knowing where the funds came from? Didn’t they treat the donor and his father with deference because of his ill-gotten wealth? What other outcome could we then expect? How then can we claim to have been innocent?

I attended the funeral of my friend’s father in the East some years ago. At the end of the service, the priest began to name the ‘wealthy’ people in our midst and call them by name to come forward and make donations to the church. He thanked them all for being there and shamelessly badgered them for funds to renovate his church. Neither he nor the son of the deceased who assisted him in identifying the targeted donors saw it fit to thank the rest of us for travelling all the way from Abuja and assisting them in making the event a huge success. We were not important. The focus was on the wealthy people regardless of how this wealth was acquired.

I attended another funeral in Ojoto some years ago. During the proceedings, several men, clearly of questionable character strolled in, accompanied by armed policemen to emphasize their importance. Some were said to be sons of Igwes from neighbouring towns whilst others were clearly successful men of the underworld. One who looked like he was someone’s houseboy dressed up in an ill-fitting safari suit stepped forward with his gun and began shooting in the air. I was horrified and terrified at the same time, and I complained bitterly at the evident lawlessness on display. People around me including my friends, looked at me like I was some spoil sport. Couldn’t I see that this added colour to the event? No one was concerned that the indiscriminate shooting apart from being illegal, could have resulted in a serious accident. They all left at the same time, jumping into their SUV’s and shooting in the air. I was told that the purpose of this was to ward off potential armed robbers since they had ‘sprayed’ huge sums of money at the event. The children present looked on in admiration and awe. These were their heroes and role models approved by us, the adults. So why are we shocked by Ozubulu’s tragedy?

For years, young men with little education and no visible means of income, have come home and built palatial houses for their parents. How many parents refused to live in those houses? What message does that send to the youth? The same people come to the villages and install boreholes and build roads. Soon enough the villagers ‘beg’ them to run for office and before you know it, they are installed in the State or National Assembly or even run for the governor’s office. No questions asked about the source of their wealth. Why then should we be shocked?

Bishop, the drug baron who the gunmen were after celebrated his 36th birthday commissioning roads that he tarred in his community. Governor Willie Obiano’s picture was used to advertise the event, thereby validating this young man. It appears from reports that the governor and the commissioner of police even attended the event. Did they ask him where the funds came from? Hadn’t they heard the rumours? Did they investigate? Are they really shocked at the outcome?

Instead of exhibiting all this shock and sorrow, we should resolve today to end this cycle of greed and worshipping criminals. It’s been going on for so long and we are all guilty. The lesson learnt from Ozubulu is that we are all potential victims so we can no longer pretend that it does not concern us. Anyone of us could have been sitting in that church on Sunday. It was not an incident that just occurred, it was a disaster waiting to happen and it can happen again if we do not take steps to prevent it!
May the souls of all those lost in the incident at Ozubulu and all the faithful departed rest in perfect peace... Amen!

Well Said Man! ... we don't like the truth to be told!,even on Nairaland too, it was evident in the number of likes you got for this nice and insightful write-up. We are all guilty. Anyone who celebrates any criminal is also criminal. Its just dat he hasn't got the opportunity to exhibit the same behaviour too.

Everywhere you turn in Nigeria, Its d same story. CHURCHES, WORK PLACES, OFFICES, MOSQUES e.t.c
GOD, WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW..... MORE THAN BEFORE.
WE ARE SORRY FOR OUR MISDEEDS... PLS TAKE CONTROL, WE NEED YOUR DIVINE RESTORATION NOW.

1 Hausa. 2 Yorubas.

It sounds fair to me.

No Igbo. To God be the glory.

I would have questioned a legitimate business person whose wealth was stolen by Nigeria and handed only £20 to be on Forbes' list of billionaires. Granted the Igbo people have done well for themselves after the major set back. The wealth gap closed quickly that on family-family level, they fair better than other tribes.

If Nigeria seizes "ALL the assets and bank accounts" of Otedola, Alakija, Dangote, Otedola, etc and hand them N8300 (equivalent of £20), none of them will last more than a month. Don't underestimate the hatred Igbo folks bore after the war too. Every successful Igbo person today has all the right to beat his/her chest.
\

Nna! ... i disagree with your assertions! Stop deceiving yourself. All regions benefited immensely from the Oil loot at d centre. ( Federal Government ).

Many Igbo rich business men did not get rich as a result of their struggle. Quote me anywhere! ...They are benefited in the stolen wealth through over-inflated government contracts and supplies. Let me remind you that Obasanjo publish in the newspapers, the list of easterners that got contract from FG and didnt execute.

Car Talk / Re: Automatic Transmission And Gear Repairs In Nigeria by chatupkay: 5:27pm On Jul 19, 2017
@Kashif, @gazuzz, I'm really impressed with your recommendations.

i recently observed that my toyota highlanders hesitates when shifting gears on motion, and one day it stopped shifting into higher gears. Before that time, the VSC, ABS lights have always bin "ON" d dashboard, however, when the incident happend, i noticed that "BREAK" had turned "ON" too.

Later on, the break pad issue was fixed however, the "BREAK" light on d dashboard is still comes "ON" when d car is started.
The ATF was dirty and black, so it was changed and Gear Filter Cleaned too, still the transmission system did not shift into higher gears. I guess it got stuck in gear 1, because it still moves.

In other not to create more issue, D car has bin parked since the day the issues started.

Questions
(1) Can the "BREAK" fault as shown on the dashboard inhibits the transmission system operation
(2) Is Gear box operations sensitive to the type of ATF used if yes, wat is d name of ATF recommended for Toyota Highlander 2006?
(3) I know its important d car needs to b scanned, however, wat r the other likely causes of this kind of issue?

please any suggestions?

Here's the arithemetic:

Average Speed for Human: 5KM per Hour
Maximum number of Hours trekked per day: 12 Hours
Total Distance Lagos to Abuja: 736KM (approx)

Distance covered in a day: 5*12 == 60KM
Numbers of days needed to cover to 736KM: 736KM/60KM === 12.26 days.

So if he spent 18 days to get to abuja, then it's justified considering the stopovers and he might have walked at a lower speed

Conclusion
He actually trekked dat distance..... A round of applause for dis guy!!!!
