what is your source? Stop speculations. Some lecturers were over paid. So have retired last Feb yet were paid.

Nobody will advise you to ever do a PhD in the US on your own and no serious school will even admit you without funding. So just relax..or better still communicate with the grad coordinator.

Boss I am new here and I need help. I am one of the new beneficiaries of the pdtf, I chose IFP France and I was given petroleum economic and management. On checking the school portal I realised admission closed since march 30th. What can I do? My first degree is mechanical engineering with 4.12 CGA from unilorin with 7 years working experience in university of Oye Ekiti. I don't want to sit for IELTS or gre . Please put me through. Kindly treat this as urgent requests boss.

A big congratulations to all those who were privileged to be awarded this 'Life-Changing' scholarship.
For those who did not, it doesn't mean that you guys are bad enough... Never stop aiming for success.

Now, back to the matter.
From the outset of this scholarship, I advised Masters Students to start sourcing for admissions, and PhD students to start looking for Supervisors. This is because I know for sure that most institutions in France and Germany closes M1 application by May. Some heeded and went for it, some didn't. For those who already have admissions (MSc) and Supervisors (PhD), another congratulations.

The truth is that majority of institutions have actually shut admission process. However, all hope is not lost.
Irrespective of your choice of institution during application, you should search wide for all institutions in France and Germany... Some schools still have admissions open until July. PhD students should intensify efforts in searching for supervisors before mid July.. There will be a long vacation from the end of July to September, so no potential supervisor will listen to you until they resume (Europeans do not joke with Holidays).

I do not really think that UK students will have much trouble with admission though... I think.

On a final note, PTDF already have agreement with France and DAAD.. so there is still a small slot reserved for Masters admission, but do not bank on this. Do what you have to do on your own. PhD students, if you cannot secure a supervisor then nothing for you. No one will help you do that.
