The First two pictures are from local food restaurants and I spent maximum of 1k.
Rice and beans - N500
Spaghetti- N100
Boiled egg - N200
Beef - N200

NB: the meat is under the spag and stew.

The last Two pictures are from standard Eatry restaurants and I spent maximum of 2k

Rice - N600
Fish - N1200
Table water- N200

My opinion: the local rice was okay and I was satisfied and taste More better the eatery own. Also the eatery was okay but too expensive and not pocket friendly.

The panel that selected the winning anthem was entirely made up of Nigerians.

The 2014 Confab put together by GEJ recommended the return to the old anthem.

The law was passed by both houses of assembly with votes from senators and Reps from all parties. APC LP, PDP and APGA amongst other. There was a public sitting prior to the vote.

How does this compare constitutionally with an anthem imposed on Nigerians by a military dictatorship?

Africa's misplaced priority at independence was in cosmetic changes like anthem, national carriers, change of name, flag etc etc. None of it was necessary. There were more important things to do. Neither was it right for an unelected military to foist an anthem on us either.

People will get used to it just as people had to get used to Arise O Compatriots. At the time the Arise anthem was launched most people hated it but eventually got used to it.

We Nigerians love complaining, this is just an anthem, if the leaders deem it fit to change it, then let it be, it doesn't add or subtract anything from us as individuals while it's understandable that this is not our priority and there's no timeline for learning it, it's okay inasmuch as the words are okay and the lyrics are superb,i don't see any fuss about it
