I'm considering registering with MOD, I live in PH...What do you advice? How and where was the venue? and is the Listening test taken with Headphones. Also how was the speaking test? I mean how was the interviewer? Finally, How were the Invigilators? Thanks mosky47: |
Hello Family, So i heard that in recent times, if you wish to apply for Permanent Residence after graduation from an institution in Canada and despite having a Post-Graduate Work Permit (plus the required years for eligibility), you will have to return to Nigeria. Can Someone please confirm or rebut this information? Thank you so much |

cindelinc:Please, Which school granted the admission? |
Hello guys, Pls I have a unique situation, I recently got a letter of acceptance to a 2yr diploma program(co-op)in project mgt to resume this Oct 2018 in canada. I have an B.eng with 1 yr work experience in logistics. My challenge for visa application is the financial statement. My dad is actually the sponsor but he works as a contractor for construction project. His bank statement is quite spiky because he doesn't do bank loan, he only uses his savings to do projects. I have paid for the ist term fees already and the balance for tuition will be in my dom account before month end. I want to use my dad's cousin who works with the UN and a US international organization as a sponsor to cover living cost because he has a better financial record. Please what is the best course of action to take ? Please, Which school granted the admission? |
Barryston:LLM, how did that happen? Did you write LSAT? I'm asking because i'm also a Lawyer and I'm really surprised. |
Hello Wise minds, Please I need guidance. My in-law intends to apply for a 2years Diploma program in Canada however she is 31years Old. She never graduated from the University o but she has been running her business all these years with experience. Though she has WAEC and NECO. What are her chances? |
you might get the visa however i really doubt if your wife will get a visa considering that she does not seem to have any real ties to home country that is Nigeria or does she? I understand that obtaining a Canada visa is not really about how much is your bank account balance, it is about the influx of transaction into that account within the last 6 months. When i applied for my Canada visa, my account balance was just 200k and i did not even have travel history but they could easily verify my ties to Nigeria and believe that i will return home. That might mean good news for them especially as it is in group because mine took over a month and I got accepted. esseycoy: |
Today i heard they are just rejecting visa applications anyhow this month |

yes it was paper route and it was within one week |
HRprof:You are correct however her account Total Debit and Credit is really standard. My dear, I applied this year with a lesser sum of money in my account like 200k and was accepted even without any travel history. As for her family ties, it seems that was satisfactory because they did not give that as a reason for rejection. So I'm even more confused. |
justwise:Hello! Please i need your guidance. So she submitted her application on Monday last week and her passport was returned yesterday, she was refused visa based on the following reasons: Travel History, Purpose of Visit and Personal Assets and Financial status. It was to attend a 2-day conference. 1. Now in her travel history, she has travelled to the U.K and other European countries(for business and vacation) in the last 5 years. 2. For purpose of visit, she submitted the invitation letter from the Organisation conducting the conference she is to attend on behalf of her company plus receipt showing registration for the Conference. 3. Now for Personal Assets and Financial Status, she submitted all her Employment, Promotion and Introduction/Authorization letters, her payslips for the last 6 months, her company CAC docs, tax clearance certs, both personal and company account statement for last 6 months. Her account statement balance was less than 900k. So what could have been the issue? What is she missing here? Thanks. |
justwise:Ok thanks for the assistance. I will give you feedback with good news hopefully ![]() |
justwise:Thank you very much. 1. Yes it is the first time the company is attending the conference 2. It's an averagely known Oil and Gas Company 3. Yes she has travel history. 4. Her salary is N203,820.64 |
