emkz: This was my comment on this matter a few days back. The overt dollarization of the Nigerian economy is dangerous especially when we have no control over the currency. Yes,even booking local flight and they will use their own rate to convert for you. So sad... |

Racewinner: Good day, all.
I would like to confirm the immigration process at the airport with those that enter Canada with SOWP. Will they issue me an Open work permit at the airport?
Secondly, do I need to buy a one-way ticket when coming to Canada?
Please help.
Thank you. Yes,your permit will be issued at the airpot by immigration and I bought one way ticket,no issues with that. |

EDGEof2MORO: Diarhoea caused by Rotavirus is self-limiting i.e. the disease will have to run its course. Your baby's immune system will eventually fight it off and it is not life-threatening so no need to panic. If it happens, keep your child hydrated with salt-sugar solution (or already prepared ORS pack, if available)
Remember, to make a safe salt-sugar solution at home, you need -1 level 3ml teaspoon of salt -10 level 3ml teaspoons of sugar (or 5 cubes) -1 beer bottle (or 2 soft drink bottles) of clean water with volume 650ml
Every country has their immunization schedule for children and it is based on the prevalent disease in that region. Don't get worried if there is a vaccine your child did not receive in Nigeria, it was likely not needed. Your child needs to update his/her immunization records based on Canada standard for study purposes. |

tracy0803409: Good day house, my sister just found out that she's pregnant and she's to resume in September as an international student in Canada, pls would she be allowed to enter Canada with her pregnancy by September, must she contact a Doctor ion Canada before travelling? As long as she already has her student Visa,I see no problem. She can get a doctor when she arrives. As an international student when she arrives she will get health insurance card from her province and all cost of pregnancy and childbirth will be covered by the government. She might want to come with her husband because schooling and pregnancy/childbirth is no joke, she will need all the help she can get.my 2cents. |

I came to Canada with my 2yr old then but I had to go to the immunization clinic with his immunization card and he was given the ones he didn't get from Nigeria including rota virus vaccine and also continued updating his immunization till date,so my advice for those already in Canada is to keep track of the immunization their child didn't get back home and get them ASAP. |

egobetatoday: Pls do u mean I have to open a chequing account first before being offered the credit card (for RBC)? I'm only interested in their credit cards (for the pecks) but not their accounts because I learnt Canadian savings/chequing accounts come with a monthly fee so my plan is to open savings/current account with the online banks like tangerine. If I can walk in and get just the credit card alone then I'll go for it. If its just credit card you want, you might want to try walmart mastercard. I doubt if you can get such from a bank here. |

Patients who have the resources may try hbot first before embarking on an invasive medical procedure.

frozen70: I think Abia state makes use of Enugu orthopedic hospital
We have just three orthopedic hospitals in Nigeria
They are National Orthopedic hospital Igbobi Lagos
National Orthopedic Hospital Enugu
National Orthopedic hospital kano
These are Government hospitals specialist in bone and hip matters
But if you can't take her to the nearest in Enugu, they are private Hospitals in Abia
Though may be expensive Thank you so much, I might check enugu just that i dont know how good they are,cos it is a major surgery, we were told the surgery will cost above 5mil in a private hospital, since we dont have such amount and the surgery needs to be done quickly to avoid further damage thats why I am seeking alternative recommendations. |
