ProgrammingRe: Day 1: Quick Python Fix by chiarachy(f): 3:05am On Mar 20
Nice thread….I just started learning python and I’m happy that I can relate to some errors because I have encountered them too.
ProgrammingRe: Please Who Has These Ebooks To Learn Python by chiarachy(f): 5:18pm On Mar 14
Thank you so much for this information….I thought of learning python until my internship and I knew nairaland would be the best place to get the info I needed
as69:
Automate the Boring Stuff is free online at automatetheboringstuff.com — Al Sweigart put the full text there himself, no signup needed. That's the one you're looking for.

For Python Crash Course, No Starch Press occasionally makes older editions free. Otherwise check the Open Library (archive.org) — they have it for borrowing.

Once you're past the basics, the official Python docs at docs.python.org are actually solid. Most people sleep on them.

CareerRe: As A Writer, Do You Intend To Continue Writing In 2026? by chiarachy(op): 10:46am On Jan 24
Web development is good choice
I’m still looking out for a skill like this one
Noblejohn32:
I've actually made countless post about the scarcity of writing gigs. It started since last and got worse as the days went by. I'm currently gathering funds to learn web Dev. For now, my survival is by the grace of God.
CareerAs A Writer, Do You Intend To Continue Writing In 2026? by chiarachy(op): 4:48pm On Jan 19
It’s over three years since I started writing and thanks to the guide and gigs I got from here. But the space is sharply evolving and the influx of AI tools has made it difficult for most writers including me to get gigs (articles especially). In 2025, I survived mostly on ghostwriting fiction and nonfiction books but it wasn’t as frequent and sufficient as it used to be.

It’s 2026 and I’m looking for other things I can do alongside writing. Am I the only one having this problem or do you guys have other options?
If there is, involve me ooo

Where do you normally get gigs that pay up to this amount for an article.
(Aside Upwork and Fiverr)
EXPRESSSMAN:
Well I don't know you and you don't know me either. But what I do know is that the business of finding "hot info product" is no longer in vogue. My account at Selar. Co is now dormant.
What we do now that bring the dollars now is content writing and content creation. I have 5 article to deliver this night and that is about 50usd. No one is talking of hot info product again.

Which platforms did you start with?
I find it hard getting gigs and it can be frustrating sometimes
If you can share with us the platforms that you freelanced as a starter, I will be grateful......specifically for content writing.
Ajay7411:
My experience with freelancing has been a mixed bag but it has been a lovely journey all the way.

First of all, nobody controls the amount of money you'll get in a month.

And that means you can earn as much as you want.

OK....Thanks a lot
qtguru:
Google Docs , Spreadsheet and others, there are other skills, because writing is saturated. It's better to a niche skill is what I meant.
BusinessRe: Upwork Thread (Questions/Help/Advice) by chiarachy(f): 10:38am On Sep 06, 2022
Thanks for the review....

I appreciate....... I will try and do what you said
pocohantas:
When confused - use Google.

Office tools like Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word, Powerpoint. If there are tools that are specific to your niche (technical writing), then you can add that.

That said, your profile is amateurish and it has basic grammatical errors. This is not good for a writer that you claim to be.

The first letters of every word in your heading should be in caps for a start.

Your profile picture doesn’t have energy. Please change it if you can.

PoliticsRe: Which Candidate Is Most Likely To Win 10m Votes? Be Honest by chiarachy(f): 10:12am On Aug 11, 2022
To trust the new system of Nigeria is something I can't imagine how people do.....you don't matter and I don't matter too...the same way your PVC does not matter

For your info, I don't even have PVC in the first place....I can't give Nigeria any of my belonging including my time for some sort of bullshit called election

There will be no rigging and how come Tinubu is APC flag bearer.....the one that happened in APC primary election is called what? PRIMARY RIGGING?

What you can't comprehend is that election is for democracy, in Africa particularly in Nigeria, it does not exist and will never exist .......who are voting for? Mr Peter Obi?
He even knows what am saying that you can't easily comprehend.......If he doesn't know, why was he invited by Boris Johnson?.......all this things happens always in africa and in Nigeria but we refuse to see them

Ask yourself, in africa if U must win an election , you must visit your colonial masters.......Does this happen anywhere in the world? It is either you visit them or you are invited.......woe betide you if you don't go naaaw

The rest of us we now sit back and be shouting ELECTION, DEMOCRACY and INEC
Nigeria has a long way to go
OKOATA:
Madam stop all this long right up, not necessary. Why are saboteurs dumbing PVCs in the gutter? It's because election can't be rigged except vote buying. Stop hinging on the Nigerian old way of doing things, how did you think Lawal lose out. You come here typing like an intellectual person while diminishing my opinion as if you know it all. If you don't trust in the new electoral law then please you have no business in this forthcoming elections and sit in your house. Sefini.
PoliticsRe: Which Candidate Is Most Likely To Win 10m Votes? Be Honest by chiarachy(f): 9:02am On Aug 10, 2022
The high time we realize that the choice of the cabals and the British determine the result of the election , the better for us

I definitely cannot argue with you because from your writeup, you don't know HISTORY and also the systems of government presently in Africa............let's us watch and see history repeat itself again

But it baffles me how an average Nigerian doesn't know that the country called Nigeria does not practice democracy.....I still wonder .......and also believing the fact that INEC is independent is a complete proof of stupidity and illiteracy of an average Nigerian

The indigenous people of Nigeria has a long way to go when it comes to POLITICS
OKOATA:
Bros stop all this stale argument and read about the new electoral law that buhari signed in Nigeria, why did you think Adeleke won? Nothing will happen cos we will stone all politicians on the street.
