Thank you! In USA turning 16 is considered a great celebration and called "Sweet 16" so the person gets spoiled on that day with a gift to remember. It's only the fact that he's rich so the spoiling is very lavish and expensive.

This much is true, you can never talk about a person and brag about intimate things without the listeners getting curious. They might even want to take on the guy/girl subject by seduction also--to see if the good sex gossip is true. Somebody always has somebody else they trust to tell a secret to! Both guys and girls are guilty in my opinon I just think its the level of respect you have for that person you slept with that determines how much you will spill.

I need to get a great vegetable soup recipe for my hubby. He's in love with his moms recipe which has stock fish, and although i have an authentic naija cookbook (we both LOVE nigerian food), i dont have markets here on this side of California that can sell the leaves i need. I want a recipe that has items I can purchase at regular grocery store, or asian/hispanic grocery store. He loves anything I cook, there are mostly women in my family, and fortunate for me we are naturally awesome at cooking since we grew up with it. But vegetable soup is his lifelong, childhood favorite kinda thing. And I want to make him proud since hes so excited when he eats it. I am not familiar with how to perfect it. My babe can eat this every day! I was just in naija, and his moms version is great. I wasnt home with her when she made it, or I would have taken notes. My honest goal is to rival it.  seriously. LOL. any of your moms versions are welcomed. I will try all of them. thanks

I found a naija market here, but since everything is imported, d costs are insane. I found things like bitter leaf in other hispanic markets, so if there are alternatives for this recipe, I will like to know.

My husband was told by the National visa center here in california to get his birth certificate from Lagos Ministry of Health in Ikeja. They can give you the birth certificate,  or a certified letter stating why the doc is unavailable. then they stamp it to certify, but you need the affidavit as well, and you can get that there too. When he got there they told him it will cost N8,000-just to go look into the files and see if the certificate was available. I wonder if he could hav gone to NPC now. Also, he needed a police certificate that he was supposed to obtain somewhere in Ikoyi. They bribed him since they knew its for visa purposes, so im starting to wonder how much these things cost now. you can tip them to sped the process, but they shouldnt be asking for large fees for this stuff. 

go and see if devry offers those courses retard. you cannot get those degrees online. and i schooled in usa- so i didnt bullsh** my way by paying some stupid professors.  if all you can comment on is "u" or a word i abbreviate, i think u should sit down hun.

Morenike -wats marriage have to do with anything? Im happily married and independent. I will act in naija when im permanently there for more than one month vacation stays, regardless of how raunchy he thinks the industry is. since i was asked by one producer in naija to come and try at some auditions- and i really wanted to audition since they said they can use my looks n my american accent in many film ideas they had, My husband says he will never allow me to do that because the only way to get ahead in naija in the film industry is to sleep around. Well i couldnt audition anyway because the date was 2 far away n i was headed back to US. Do you guys think the top actresses (Genevieve, Omotola, Ini, etc.) did this? im not naive or anything, but damn. What do the men have to do to get those roles then!!!!!

I'm one of those that ended up in the emergency room after a late night fight! After i started to find out so many bad things that my ex was doing, i confronted him. he didnt know that i had already saw text messages on his phone from a woman who was asking him to come back to her house. I woke him up to talk, then i asked him why a girl was texting him to come over. he couldnt come up with a lie fast enough, so he was like "where did u see that ?" i went to pick up his phone and he FLIPPED OUT!he ran to the kitchen, grabbed a butcher knife and started swinging it around screaming "put my phone down!!" i reached out n told him to put it away, right at that moment he sliced across my left pointer finger as he was swinging. i went OUT OF MY MIND. he threw the knife, so i clawed the hell out of his face and chest, and slapped him sooo hard. he wouldnt move after that, just let me hit him. blood was on the walls, on our bed. He was stunned when he realized he actually cut me VERY DEEP so he went into "sweet innocent" mode and said he has to take me to the hospital. he didnt want me to have him arrested. he was like " you see what our relationship has come to"?

Hell yes i saw! We ended up in the hospital for hours. he begged me to forgive him and says that he never meant to hurt me. the bleeding wouldnt stop. i had to get 7 stiches in my little finger! I didnt want him anymore, so those words meant nothing! but this is what can happen when things get TOO crazy in a relationship. all in a short period of time i saw his true colors, and we were FINISHED.

Now u all can see why i call him balding baboon? It turned out he was so much more UGLY ON THE INSIDE. How did i know what other crazy things he was capable of? Wendy hopefully your not taken advantage of, since most guys here seem to think being "submissive" is a good quality in a woman. Wendy, i am African-American and born and raised in California. Born to American parents (From Oklahoma and Texas) and i was brought up around Nigerians, have mostly nigerian friends and married a Nigerian man. He is Igbo but i was raised with nigerian Yoruba people, so i speak yoruba sometimes and know most pigeon, although i dont speak it often. If u hear my voice its like a west valley white girl.
