despite all these i have been saying on this group, some people are still filling courses they aint qualified for.

this is one of the reasons i made this group private so nobody says he-she didnt know.

You will be disqualified out-rightly no matter how high you score in the entrance exam. pls dont gamble with this.

the first step of this journey is checking eligibility of your proposed course of study.

kindly take note of this.

For the application, Anybody can be your referee, unilag dont contact those referees, so you are free to use anybody but not your family member as it isn't professional

passport size too is immaterial, forget what you read.

For those that are done with their application, I will advise you start your preparation ASAP.

Dont sleep on it.

If you really need this admission, you need to adequately prepare yourself for the entrance exam.

Unilag entrance exam is not a walk in the park.

Dont be caught off guarded.

For those who have registered, ensure you keep your ref number or application number safe, you will be needing it when the time comes.

i got alot of calls asking me about the dimension of the passport photography to be uploaded, like i have always said the dimension of you passport is immaterial, you ensure it is uploaded successfully thats all that matter. must be white background

You can apply with your statement of results if you dont have your original certificate.


Hope we all checked our eligibility before applying for our proposed course of study, for me eligibility is the most important thing here because if you ain't eligible for your proposed course and you go ahead to apply, even if you score 100% in your entrance exam you will be disqualified, you just wasted your time, effort and resources, that's why I'm saying this for the umpteenth time. The first step is checking your eligibility.


adequate preparation still remains the key to excelling in the entrance exam.

if you have not been preparing now, you must be on long thing.

Like I always tell people in my group, excelling in Unilag entrance exam is not about reading your life out, it is all about reading the right materials.

1. Before you apply for any course ensure you are eligible for it, you can always chat me up to help you check. Dont apply for any course based on assumptions.


2. The sale of form would close by August 21st 2022

3. If you have original certificate you dont need transcripts.

4. If you are applying with statement of results you need transcripts. But I always advice my students not to submit their transcripts at the application stage, wait until you are admitted before you forward your transcripts to avoid waste of money.

5. You dont need reference letter.

6. Application is done 100% online, consequently you dont need to submit anything to the dept.

7. Entrance exam will be conducted for all depts. You are excepted to meet the cut off mark for each dept to get the admission.

8. Unilag postgraduate admission is 98% by merit.

Hope you have made the decision on your choice of course and of course eligibility criteria.

Like I always tell Applicants, your eligibility criteria for your proposed course is as important as your admission. Because if you ain't eligible for the course you are applying for you will be outrightly disqualified.

I will send more information on this as time progress.

Good Evening guys.

Alot of questions on whether to use statement of results or to forward transcripts. Let me address this here for everyone knowledge.

If you have original certificate you dont need to forward transcripts.

Those that need transcripts are those applying with statement of results.

I always advice people over the years, if you are applying with statement of results no need to forward your transcripts during the application state.
Always wait when you are admitted, during the screening process you can then start processing your transcripts.(screening is done for those admitted and it is more like check your credentials to ensure they are authentic).

Nobody will disqualify you for not sending your transcript during the application stage.

Why this method is better is that it saves you cost of processing your transcripts in the event of not been admitted.

University of Lagos postgraduate form for 2022/2023 session is expected to be on sale from April.

Unilag accepts all degree from any NUC accredited university, though those with third class are limited with choices of course to apply for.

HND holders cannot apply For most courses offered at postgraduate level in university of Lagos aside MBA and few professional courses.

Unilag accepts statement of result during application but when fully admitted, you need to present transcript to postgraduate school.

Hi Guys,

I graduated in 2015 from Mechanical engineering in my first degree and since then i have been working as operations engineer with BW offshore.

I want to 'JAPA', i have applied to two schools for winter 2023.

The first school is university of Ottawa, i applied for Master of engineering in mechanical engineering

the second school is Douglas College, Postgraduate diploma in Data Analytics.

My question is, are these courses i applied for best to convince the VO to give me Visa considering my work experience.

Can anyone recommend a course that will suit my work experience.

Unilag does not joke with course eligibility, before you select a course ensure your course of study in your first degree matches the eligibility criteria

of the proposed course you want to study.

Despite all the awareness that was created last year about course eligibility, some applicants were still disqualified.

no matter how high you score in the entrance exam, if you dont meet the eligibility criteria, you will be disqualified out-rightly. unilag dont joke with this.

P.s The earlier you apply the better...i waited for 7 months to get a decision....

I just applied for University of Ottawa for winter(January 2023)

in the application portal, there was no space to upload documents, after filling all the required details, it took me to a tap to pay the application fee. i want to ask the house, is this how it should be?

secondly, i graduated in 2015(my first degree) and i also have my masters in university of Lagos, but i did not specify in my application that i have gotten my masters degree, so not to serve as a disadvantage in my application. will the study gap after my first degree affect my application?
