For those NYSC passing out December, how can they apply if the application is closing August. And are they going to merge this set who have already applied with those who have already gotten admission for resumption October?

yes you can apply. so long as your discharge certificate is ready before the start of the program.

Key Points

1. If you don't have your original certificate, you can apply with your statement of result. Forward your transcript

once you have been admitted. it is not wise to forward your transcript during the application if you are applying with statement of result,

what if you were not admitted, you would be wasting your application fee + transcript fee.

2. If you are serving corps member and you will be passing out by Dec you can apply.


3. course Eligibility is vital, ensure you are eligible for your proposed course before you begin your application, as you will be disqualified regardless of your score in the entrance exam if you ain't eligible for the said course.

Good morning guys.

Alot of questions on whether to use statement of results or to forward transcripts. Let me address this here for everyone knowledge.

If you have original certificate you dont need to forward transcripts.

Those that need transcripts are those applying with statement of results.

I always advice people over the years, if you are applying with statement of results no need to forward your transcripts during the application state.
Always wait when you are admitted, during the screening process you can then start processing your transcripts.(screening is done for those admitted and it is more like check your credentials to ensure they are authentic).

Nobody will disqualify you for not sending your transcript during the application stage.

Why this method is better is that it saves you cost of processing your transcripts in the event of not been admitted.

university of Lagos offers both professional masters and academic masters.

professional masters are work related masters degree, it is only useful in your work environment, most of the professional masters done in unilag are usually on part-time basis. professional master degree can not be used to apply for PHD programs. professional masters offered in university of Lagos are:

1 MBA
2 Master of Project Management (MPM)
3 Master in Public and International Affairs (MPIA)
4. MIT
5. Masters in Managerial Psychology (MMP
etc

Academic masters degree are the conventional masters degree that can be used to apply for PHD for those that want to do PHD. as the name implies, it is an academic masters. 90 percent of courses run in unilag are academic masters related courses.

University of Lagos postgraduate form for 2021/2022 session is on sale.

Unilag accepts all degree from any NUC accredited university, though those with third class are limited with choices of course to apply for.

HND holders cannot apply For most courses offered at postgraduate level in university of Lagos aside MBA and few professional courses.

Unilag accepts statement of result during application but when fully admitted, you need to present transcript to postgraduate school.

Input your application num, this number is in your application form and it begins with an alphabet.

Your password is your surname in lowercase.

If you successfully login then you can print your admission letter, otherwise be patient.

One of the most important things to note while preparing for your postgraduate program in unilag is course eligibility.

Unilag does not joke with course eligibility, before you select a course ensure your course of study in your first degree matches the eligibility criteria

of the proposed course you want to study.

Despite all the awareness that was created this year about course eligibility, some applicants were still disqualified.

no matter how high you score in the entrance exam, if you dont meet the eligibility criteria, you will be disqualified outrightly. unilag dont joke with this.

No need to visit the department.

The result will be made public and you can check via your dashboard.

If you department conducts oral interview you will be informed via email/text.

Moreover, it is just about 10% of the department conducts oral interview.

Pls no need wasting your transport money to go to Unilag.

If you are within Lagos, and you are impatient you can visit your department but they will most times ask you to wait till the result is made official

If you are supposed to do interview for your department, the department usually inform the applicants. So check your email and text messages regularly.

Not all departments do interview.

It is mostly medical courses.
