Lagos inherited a major head start from colonialism. Apapa is Nigeria's oldest major port and is located beside the country's largest commercial centre. It has long-established road, rail, warehousing, shipping and financial infrastructure.
Cargo naturally followed the biggest market. Lagos became the country's principal commercial gateway, creating a self-reinforcing cycle: more cargo, more shipping lines and terminals, more private investment, better infrastructure, again still more cargo. Lagos receives substantial private sector investment in terminals such as Apapa and Tin Can.

Onne port developed mainly around the oil-and-gas industry and became an Oil & Gas Free Zone. It is therefore significant, but its cargo profile is different from Lagos's huge consumer-import market. Lagos population attracts. Dredging and navigational limitations have affected Calabar and other eastern ports, and poor inland connections and inadequate infrastructure.

The Southeast has no coastline. This is basic primary 4 knowledge. States such as Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Abia depend on ports outside the region. This makes efficient road/rail connections to ports particularly important, but they don't seem to care about planning or building one.

Hello Everyone,

So I have this scalp condition whereby my whole scalp is filled with little bumps mostly filled with pus and blood and is usually very very itchy especially in the evenings. I have tried quite a number of hair products from damatol to indian hemp to other hair products but it's not healing. I have also tried some anti viral, anti bacterial and anti fungal drugs as prescribed by my physician to no avail. I have even had to change my personal barbing kit yet this problem persist. Sometimes it dries up and leaves dried bumps then fresh bumps come up.

Has anyone experienced this condition before? How did you treat it?

Abia State parasatals Pensioners are being owed owed gratituities and 13 months pensions totalling more than which Governor Allex Otti accrued when he stopped pensioners in parastatals from receiving their pensions on the erroneous pretext that they are not pensionable. 8 pensioners reportedly of these parastals died due to hardship and lack of funds for upkeep and medication. The parastatal pensioners have written series of appeal letters to the Governor that not been attended to.
Every month for the past 1 year , The Government has requested for several documents , meetings etc and yet our Fathers who gave their blood , sweat and time in civil service are treated like fools.

A worker deserves his wages not just social amenities which is His Right.
