PoliticsRe: UK-Based Nigerians Earning £2,600 Worse Than Someone On ₦60k In Nigeria — Bwala by Chibuezem(m): 9:12pm On Jul 09
TopBanter:
Bwala has a valid point because Nigerians in Britain are burdened by hugely high cost of living.

He did not even include so many other expenses like Council tax etc. If you run a Car, big chunk of money to drive and insure.

After all that though, claiming Nigerians earning 60k Naira monthly are better off than Britons on £2800 is arrogant in my opinion and indicative of how Nigerian leaders are over-privileged and disconnected from the daily struggle and plight of the average Nigerian.

I believe, even conservatively, every Nigerian requires 300k monthly to meet their living expenses.
He does not have any valid point
UK has functional social amenities at a subsidised rate from health to light etc the taxes are high but justified compared to Nigeria
Let's stop cheering blatant sycophancy

I put up three arguments above. I see you wanna dwell on just one.

1. Illegally staying in SAa.
2. Working without proper documents for less, hence not paying tax. This giving one an unfair advantage over locals.
3. Some commiting crimes and not being traced because they're undocumented. It's easier to arrest a local because they're on the system.
so how did they come out as unregistered ?
Simple your country failed to register them , bribery and corruption.
I want everyone to leave and go back to their various countries

RandDigital:
You should acknowledge the numerous threads on frontpage everyday of Nigerians engaging in crimes all over the world - especially developing countries. You're viewed with suspicion, not envy.

The anger comes from the lack of shame you exhibit after commiting the crimes.
The numerous threads of xenophobic attacks of South Africans has done nothing to stop the status quo.
It's a shame that a country has weak men who instead of putting effort to work will rather go about destroying successful foreigners.

I blame my government for allowing the useless MTN to thrive .
I love the fact that Ghaninans refused the visit of the South African president in their country .

She said the quiet part loud. Most Caucasians will always look at blacks with resentment and always believe they're a superior tribe.

Current trajectory in the land of freedom reinforces that and makes the people with such beliefs to be bold.

Mbappe should have completely forgotten about her and her rants without giving her the audience
A white man's default setting for a black man is just racism meanwhile they with our greedy ancestors engineered our poverty

SportsRe: Kylian Mbappe Condemns Racist Rant Of Paraguayan Senator by Chibuezem(m): 12:00pm On Jul 07
GanagiBitrus:
Honestly, I find it very difficult to believe a Senator of a country could descend so low to write such despicable racist rant.
If Paraguay are serious about condemning her, they should go further & ensure she is relieved of her office.

As for the match, Paraguay were too rough on France. Their strategy was to frustrate & possibly provoke a France player to be sent off.
It was a surprise the Referee did not even issue them a single Yellow card in that match.
I bet you, if Cameroon or a black African country played the way Paraguay did, they would have finished the match with at least 8players.

Even when Mbappe wanted to take penalty, a Paraguay player used his feet to scrub the penalty spot & make it uneven, &to cause Mbappe to miss.

&if you watched the video of the handshake incident, Mbappe was so passionately engrossed in celebrating victory that he didn't even notice the Paraguay Goalkeeper. He didn't even notice that the goalkeeper threw the ball at him afterwards, else he would have reacted.
Whites especially french are mostly racists with their American counterparts
If Cameroon and other African nations had good football structures it will be rare to see Africans playing for modern vampires who sucked Africa dry of its resources and made it poor and dependable on them

The minimum salary a Graduate Nurse (BSN) should receive in Nigeria of today should be:

NGN350,000 starting salary for those working in the private hospital

NGN450,000 starting salary for those in the government hospital

And for Doctors, it should go like this:

NGN800,000 starting for those in private hospitals.

NGN1,500,000 starting for those in government hospitals.

NGN4,500,000 for consultants.

Even though I am not in support of the deregistration of NDC, it's insensitive of Peter Obi to be blaming FG about this.

Why didn't Obi do his findings well before joining ADC? A presidential candidate that's so disorganized to the extent of not knowing what's good for him

Wondering why the opposition have been blaming the FG for their own self inflicted chaos

So why is donald trump shaking hands and smiling with a man who according to you, will always choose a suicide vest?

smiley
pedophiles support each other so it's expected.

Outside of that We all know that Trump is not a christain but a crooked politician and businessman.

Donald Trump's grandfather, Friedrich Trump, emigrated from Germany to the United States in 1885. Years later, he made much of his early fortune during the Klondike Gold Rush in Canada by operating hotels and restaurants that were associated with prostitution, with many miners paying in gold. When he later returned to Germany, he was ordered to leave because he had failed to complete mandatory military service, after which he returned to USA.

All this points to one thing , Trump will always compromise to touch some Benjamins .

It is hereditary.

SportsRe: After 3 Years Of Betting, I Finally Understand Something by Chibuezem(m): 11:54am On Jun 25
VNekeg:
Started betting during COVID like everyone else. Lost money, chased losses, deleted apps, reinstalled them. The usual cycle.

But I realised something recently. The problem isn't the games. It's the mindset.

You see all these guys on Nairaland dropping 15 odds daily, posting winning slips. But you never see the 20 slips they lost before that one hit . Nobody posts those.

I'm not saying betting is a scam. VAR does manipulate games sometimes, that's just facts . But even with that, some people still win consistently. Not because they know football. Because they understand numbers and know when to walk away.

The hardest lesson for me was learning that a "sure" 1.30 odd is not sure. One red card, one VAR check, your whole ticket is gone . I've lost too many "safe" bets to count.

These days I bet small, I bet what I can afford to lose, and I don't chase. If the game doesn't go my way, I move on.

Not saying I've figured it all out. But at least I'm not deleting apps in anger anymore.

Anyone else been through this cycle? How did you break it?
biggest lesson is that the house always win

Do not bet

This is a good judgement.

My only unhappyness with the judiciary is when Justice Omotosho refused to give death by hanging to the criminal and terrorists called Nnamdi Kanu
Nnamdi Kanu is not a terrorist , he never spear headed the killing of Nigerians . He simply spoke the truth and insulted the government for subjugating the Igbos and planning to over run the country with Fulani herdsmen who are weapons of Islamic terrorism which is what is obtainable right now.
Yesterday ago we say a clip where same terrorists were on transit with bikes and sophisticated weapons while passing a police checkpoint where the police officers were happily waving at them .
Instead of you to happily cheer the proceeds of this wonderful judgement, you decided to drag an innocent man praying for his death.

Shame on you 😅
PoliticsRe: 2027: Soludo's Mission Is Not To Defeat Obi — But To Deny Him A Landslide. by Chibuezem(m): 7:50pm On Jun 24
CharlesCNG:
The Soludo–Obi political rivalry has become one of the clearest lessons in the difference between presidential emotion and local structure.

In 2023, Peter Obi swept Anambra in the presidential election, polling about 584,621 votes, roughly 95% of the state’s vote. It looked like the Obi wave had swallowed Anambra politics.

But governorship elections are different. They test party roots, local machinery, candidate strength and voter trust.

By the 2025 Anambra governorship election, Soludo had turned that reality into a political statement. INEC declared him winner after he polled 422,664 votes, defeating APC’s Nicholas Ukachukwu, who scored 99,445 votes, while Peter Obi’s Labour Party candidate, George Moghalu, managed only 10,576 votes. Soludo also won all 21 LGAs.

The humiliation went deeper. In Peter Obi’s own polling unit, Polling Unit 019, Agulu Ward 11, Labour Party lost. APC scored 73 votes, LP got 57, and APGA came third with 38.

Even Anaocha, Obi’s home LGA, went heavily for Soludo: APGA 20,118, APC 5,956, LP just 483.

Governor Soludo has publicly indicated his willingness to work with President Tinubu in 2027.

If he deploys even a fraction of the political machinery that produced his overwhelming re-election victory, the presidential arithmetic in Anambra could look very different in 2027.

In 2027, the real battle in Anambra will not simply be Tinubu versus Obi.

It will be Soludo versus Obi.

That is the strategic point many people are missing.

Tinubu does not need to win Anambra. He does not even need to come close.
All he needs is for Soludo to reduce Obi’s 2023 landslide from an overwhelming monopoly to a contested battlefield.

In 2023, Obi took about 95% of Anambra’s presidential vote. That was the high-water mark of the Obi wave.

If Soludo helps Tinubu secure even 20–25% of Anambra’s vote, that would be a strategic victory for APC.

Why?

Because Obi’s national mathematics depends on harvesting extraordinary margins from the South-East while hoping to remain competitive elsewhere.

Once Anambra drops from 95% to anything significantly lower, Obi’s aura of inevitability cracks.

The danger for Obi is not that Tinubu will defeat him in Anambra.

The danger is that Soludo will deny him a landslide.

That is why the 2027 contest in Anambra is personal, local and structural.

Obi will be fighting sentiment.

Soludo will be fighting with government, structure and performance.

And in politics, structure has a rude habit of waking sentiment from sleep.
wait did Peter Obi contest for Anambra governorship against soludo?

His reaction in summary:

2. He affirmed he was in Ekiti during the election.

3. He also stated that the photo was Al-generated and planted in the media by the opposition. He was neither accredited in Ekiti or anywhere

4. He said AI will spoil a lot of things in the world.

BusinessRe: Elon Musk Loses Record $350bn As Spacex Slumps by Chibuezem(m): 3:04pm On Jun 24
givedemwotowoto:
As long as there’s no fundamental unrecoverable problem with SpaceX, this is probably the time to buy

How stock works in a very simple overview is, let’s say a company wants to sell shares for $1 per share.

Before they go public, they first of all sell to private investors at let’s say 50 cents. They may even do multiple private rounds at different prices.

When the shares finally go public at $1, that’s when you and I (the ordinary people) buy.

After the public sales, initial investors sell off their shares. If you bought at 50 cents, you’ve automatically made 100% profit.

Once they sell off, the prices drop like you see now. That’s when some ignorant folks start selling at a loss out of panic, thinking there’s a problem.

Funny thing is, if it drops by 50%, the same investors who sold off will buy again. When it starts rising again as they’re buying, some of us will jump back in again due to FOMO, then they sell off again, and the cycle continues.

I explained this in the simplest form without boring you with technical jargons.

Note: This is financial advice. DYOR
Wow this is better why say not financial advice is this a lie ?
