I laughed so hard I nearly spilled my drink. Bro, whoever you are… bless your pure heart, but you’re one hell of a naive guy.


It sounds principled on the surface. But the reality is... Modern Naija women in 2026 are far less likely to actually keep to your little no sex with anybody else deal.


Here's why:

Modern women have ridiculously more sexual options than at any point in history. The kind of options and body counts most girls rack up? Only men who are A-list or B-list celebrities are playing in that league.


When she gets Hot for sex, she just scrolls through her hundreds of DMs or picks from the squad of guys hovering around her like vultures.


For most guys, when they get Hot for sex? Their options are usually porn videos and a lonely night of "handling business" till they sleep.


So when you agree to her “no sex before marriage,” understand this: she’s not making the same sacrifice you are.


The power dynamic is lopsided from start. She’s asking you to give up something that's already scarce for you, while she’s only “sacrificing” something she has in ridiculous abundance for her. That’s not equal sacrifice, bro… that’s a psychological setup.


Also, one dark truth about the female species:


Women wear different faces for different guys.


When she's around the street-wise, raw, scumbag, sexually experienced dudes… she lets her real naughty freaky nature breathe freely.

The dark truth most men refuse to swallow:

A woman who truly wants you romantically will usually find a way to get sexual with you — even before marriage — if the attraction and connection are high enough.

That brings us to the real question:

Why is she telling you “no sex before marriage”?

It’s usually one of two realities:

#1. She’s not that attracted to you.
You’re the safe, stable provider backup while she quietly gets her sexual needs sorted elsewhere.

#2. She’s genuinely into you, but she’s carrying shame, religious guilt around sex with a man who hasn't paid her bride price, or… most likely… she just doesn’t trust you enough yet. She’s scared you’ll smash and dash once you get it.

#1 is straight manipulation dressed as virtue.

When she drops the “no sex before marriage” line, don’t argue or simp. First, figure out if she’s actually in category #2: that is, she genuinely wants you but is blocked by fear, guilt, or past trauma.

The cleanest way to test it? Make her invest in you: real effort, helping out, and yes, even spending money on you.

From my own experience:

I was vibing with this babe, things moving smooth, then one evening she hit me with the “no sex before marriage bla bla.” I found it funny because it was my first time hearing that one. I didn’t argue, didn’t negotiate, didn’t simp. Just replied calmly: “I get you. I’m not rushing anything either. We’ll see how it develops naturally.”

Following a recent order reported by Pulse Nigeria, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has officially begun rolling out its Consumer Compensation Framework.

Effective April 2026, mobile network operators (MNOs), including MTN, Airtel, Glo, and 9mobile, are now required to automatically compensate subscribers for service failures that fall below regulatory standards.

Instead of telcos paying heavy fines to the government, you get the airtime instead. The system is currently backdating payouts to cover service failures recorded since November 2025.

Telcos are now required to use their own tracking systems to identify where the network is failing.

If you are in a Local Government Area (LGA) where service was substandard, the operator must credit your line.

According to the NCC guidelines, not every 2-minute glitch qualifies. To get your "sorry airtime", you generally need to meet these three conditions:

Be an Active User: You must have performed at least one "billed activity" (a call, an SMS, or used data) during the period of the failure.
Wait for the SMS: Once the compensation is processed, you will receive a text message from your provider explaining how much was credited and why.

Can I use the compensation airtime for anything?

Yes. The NCC has strictly warned operators that this compensation cannot have an expiry date. You can use it just like regular airtime to:

Make local and international calls.
Buy data bundles.
Access USSD services and bank codes.
Why is the NCC doing this now?
Network outages have been a major headache recently. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, Nigeria recorded over 570 major outages due to fibre cuts and vandalism.

By forcing telcos to pay subscribers directly for every hour of downtime, the NCC is making "poor service" very expensive for the companies, forcing them to fix infrastructure faster.

What about expired data bundles?
The NCC is also working with the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) to resolve lingering issues around suspended or unutilised data balances. This rollout is part of a broader push to ensure Nigerians finally get value for their money.

PRESIDENT TINUBU APPROVES N3.3 TRILLION PAYMENT PLAN TO RESTORE RELIABLE ELECTRICITY

President Bola Tinubu has approved the payment plan to finally settle the outstanding debts under the Presidential Power Sector Financial Reforms Programme.

The debt repayment plan followed the final review of the legacy debts that have beset the power sector for more than a decade.

The long-standing debts accumulated between February 2015 and March 2025. Following verification, ₦3.3 trillion has been agreed as a full and final settlement, ensuring a fair and transparent resolution.

Implementation has begun, with 15 power plants signing settlement agreements totalling ₦2.3 trillion. The Federal Government has already raised ₦501 billion to fund these payments. Out of the amount, N223 billion has been disbursed, with further payments underway.

What this means for Nigerians: With payments reaching the power value chain, generation will be more stable. With power plants supported, electricity reliability will improve.

And as the sector stabilises, more investment, more jobs, and better service will follow.

“This programme is not just about settling legacy debts. It is about restoring confidence across the power sector — ensuring gas suppliers are paid, power plants can keep running, and the system begins to work more reliably," explained Olu Arowolo-Verheijen, Special Adviser on Energy to President Tinubu.

“It is part of a broader set of reforms already underway — including better metering and service-based tariffs that link what you pay to the quality of electricity you receive.

“The government is also prioritising power supply to businesses, industries, and small enterprises — because reliable electricity is critical to creating jobs, supporting livelihoods, and growing the economy.

“The goal is simple: more reliable power for homes, stronger support for businesses, and a system that works better for all Nigerians," she added.

President Tinubu has commended all stakeholders who supported efforts to resolve the legacy issues in the power sector. He has also confirmed that the next phase (Series II) will begin this quarter.

Delta To Suspend Flights To Nigeria From New York

Delta Air Lines announced this past Monday that it is suspending its flights to Nigeria from New York over continuing concerns over its ability to repatriate money currently locked in this African nation. The airline says that it cannot afford to continue operating this route without receiving payment from the return trip from Lagos to JFK. With operating costs increasing, this profitless flight costs the airline more and more every month. The route will enter its temporary suspension on October 4th.

“Delta is suspending its nonstop service between New York-JFK and Lagos to fit the current demand environment,” Delta said in an official statement.


The Atlanta-based airline however said that it continues to operate flights to Nigeria from Atlanta and offers onward connections to New York and other cities across the United States.

“Customers impacted by our suspended New York-JFK to Lagos service will be re-accommodated on Delta -operated flights or services operated by our joint venture partners. Delta remains committed to the Nigeria market.”

Delta also informed that it will no longer accept the Nigerian naira. All tickets between the USA and Nigeria will be sold in USD only and only available via online booking so that the money does not remain trapped in Nigeria.

The Nigerian government has not responded specifically to the service suspension but has claimed it does not have sufficient foreign currency reserves for airlines to withdraw.
