Think about World cup 2010, 1990 world cup, Euro 1996
Germany isnt even worried about the 3 rats. We are looking at bigger nations 2010.... Blame the Ref for that. Franky had a perfectly good goal disallowed. If the Ref wasn't such a re#$@d, England would have gone on to win that game. No worries na. The tourney go soon come abi? |

Thats the closest England gets to winning real trophies
WHen you check properly that was the way England celebrated beating Germany 5-1 in 2001 qualifiers. A year later Germany was playing the world cup final and England were watching from home That was because the Germans had a very easy path through to the finals that year. Swap positions and it would have been the germans backing their bags at the QF that year. Bring on the Germans at the Euros this summer. The three lions go beat una black and blue wahlai. |

Ofcourse that style of rugby would not have happen overnight and tbh England would never play that brand of rugby. Onimaro Itoje. That is all.
I dont thnk England played particularly well this year especially against France who were just crap, but with Itoje and Vinupola jnr being in such unstoppable form, i'm not really suprised that England were sneaking wins upanddan. I don't thank Foxy Farrell missed even a single penalty or conversion.
Kudos to Eddie jones though..the guys look kinda different under him....though I wonder if that's simply because of Maro No spoil his name Abeg . We warri boyz no dey carry last. Nah OgheneMaro. Dude has been sensational. My Player of the tournament tbh. To be the fair to the Lad though, He has been outstanding for over a year now and if not for Lancaster's seemingly inherent stupidity, He ought to have made the cut last summer/Autumn. Also George Kruis was phenomenal. If they keep improving at this rate, they'll be the world's best Lock Pairing in no time. Les Blues are easily the most unpredictable team in world rugby. One moment they are great, the next they are abysmal. I just don't know what's wrong with that team. Last saturday's performance was far and away their best performance in a six nation's game in 2-3 years. They simply run into a very determined and spirited team. Nah Eddie Jones is the Xfactor. He is easily one of the greatest coaches Rugby union has ever seen. You seem to have forgotten how He transformed the wallabies in 2002/3. Not to mention the great work He did with Japan. For me He takes all the credit. |

A40: Told you that boy's arrogance would cost him. Winning an MVP only to get destroyed by the Broncos D. The whole week he showed every sign of a guy with no respect for his opponent. That tandem of Ware and Von Miller ate him alive. Surprising nobody paid attention to those defensive beasts before the game Dude the Broncos did their homework to tee. It was well executed. Read it somewhere that the Broncos defence knew Every and each one of the play the panther's offence carried out. You would have thought the coach would have introduced some new sets of play for the SB but nah. I guess He stuck to the old aged adage "You don't change a winning formulae". Nah I don't buy into the idea his arrogance cost him. I think the Panthers as a unit both playing and coaching slightly underestimated the Broncos. |

I really don't see how Denver's defence would stop them racking up the points but then again stranger things have happened. Cam is pretty much everything Michael Vick was destined to be. I really don't get it as well. Arsenal are located in a pretty rough part of London but the players and fans have this 'air' of refinement.
Spurs are in quite possibly the most deprived part of North London, but they too are not generally as ruffians.
But Chelsea which is in one of the nicest parts of London and one of the richest boroughs in the country have a reputation for Agbero behaviour.
Manyoo and Liverpool match their reputations though - Rough Cities, and rough, illiterate fans... Admitedly Holloway isn't the best of areas but remember they moved from Highbury which isn't a bad area. With regards to Tottenham, you have to understand most of their fans actually don't come from that area. They all come flocking in from various parts of london and outside as well come match day. raumdeuter: How did Hazard fully merit the ratings with his abysmal stats and poor big game displays. He is an attacking midfielder where the stats matter. You cant be an attacking midfielder who doesnt score or who doesnt assist. So what exactly are you doing on the field
Its like a striker who doesnt score yet claims stats alone does no justice.
What did Marko Marin do well to be compared to Messi? Hazard simply benefitted from the mediocroty in the EPL and the need to hype someone He fully merited those ratings because He was instrumental in Chelsea regaining the league last season. When you say Big games, I am fully aware that you are refering to the CL. To that I say the Chelsea team as a whole should be blamed. They were shocking! What about the chances He created that were squandered by his team mates? I'd love to see Eden at an attacking team like city or Arsenal. Then Sit back and watch his stats go up. Marin compared to Messi? I'm pretty sure besides his agent or parents, no one has done so. |

evidence that the mediocrity of the EPL made Hazard win last yr. Mahrez that has exactly almost Hazard last yr isnt guaranteed of winning this yr even if the award was done today because someone like Ozil Vardy, Debruyne, Lukaku Ighalo are delivering regularly this yr Abeg let's give credit to whom it's due. The EPL's mediocrity had nothing to do with Hazard's star billing last season. Would Hazard have won those awards this current season with the same numbers He had last season? That's debatable although I think He would have. Hazard's game much like Iniesta is more than just numbers. It's about the overall impact they have on games. If football was just about numbers, then the likes of Fabregas and Ozil shytes on Don Iniesta. Fortunately it's not. |

A40: Hazard was not among the top 15 players in the world. I would list 15 players who outperformed him easily and before I finish this Orijin to boot. He was just the customary EPL representative
Hazard's stats in Europe are abysmal
Only 2 goals from open play in 5 seasons of European football Top 15 gini?.... Even if we agree that He wasn't in the top5-6, you'll be hard pressed to name 10 better players last year. Better put that orijin and igbo down before you start naming em'. Tbf, Chelsea FC as a whole were shocking last year in europe so we can't just single out Hazard. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Offical Bayern Munich Fan Thread: 6x Champions Of Europe by chic2pimp(m): 3:21pm On Dec 28, 2015 |
raumdeuter: Thats the hype we are talking about, Last season Hidden doesnt deserve to be a top 5 or 6 player. Its the hype that made it so. Wasnt it last season they were comparing Hidden to Ronaldo? What did Hidden do? was it with the measly 14 goals and 9 assists which Mahrez has almost matched before January?
Some players are product of hype but some of them have the stats to back up their hype e.g Ronaldo, Suarez, Neymar, Muller.
Look at Hazard a player who had 9 assists a whole season and 14 league goals, Last season Debruyne had 10 goals and 20 assists people said he should come to the PL to prove it
Now he is on Hazards turf and also bossing Hidden badly. Common now ofcourse Hazard fully merited those lofty ratings. He was nothing short of fantastic last season. Stats alone does no justice to how well He played last season. As I keep saying, He must have been doing something extremely well for those comparison to have started in the first place. Even though at then some of us knew how silly the Messi -Ronaldo comparison was. |

raumdeuter: When you watch Belgium games who do you see as the more influential player?
When I watched the world cup, It was KdB that was dominating games and Hazard was the flop. EVen the few Belgium games I see its KdB making things happen while Hazard is anonymous or just see him when its time to score Penalties
The stats here dont lie. Last season Debruyne was among the top 2 in assists in Europe. Naysayers said can he do it in EPL now he is 2nd in EPL assist charts despite missing multiple games
One thing Hazard has behind him is a hype machine working overdrive. Last season Hazard had 9 assists the whole season and he was named the best thing since hands free masturbationn. As at today DeBruyne has 8 assists in the same league as Hazard and 5 goals Lol.... You got my position with regards to the Belgian team all wrong. KDB has been Belgium's star player on the pitch for a good few years now with Hazard being their star on paper only. Having cleared that up, let's move on to their club performances. I think it's fair to say Hazard based on last season's performances was one of the top5-6 players in the world whilst KDB was not. He was the one of the more important players if not the most important in chelsea's rise to the top. Let's be honest, most star players are products of the same Media hype too. So it's unfair to single out Eden. |
