Why Lennox accepted that fight in the first place beats me. He was clearly unfit(never seen him carry that much timber to a fight) and demotivated. That said, He was still to inflict so much damage to that eye.

He was definitely a freak of nature. Even though His footwork was not that great, His upper body motion more than compensated for that. It's ridiculous. You simply could not touch that Cigar Lighting Mofo.....As much as I love The Prince,(anyone who knows me can attest to that) I won't have him in my top 10 never mind top 5 defensive boxers. It's the typical Nigerian GloryHunting trait me man. They love to reap where they did not sow hence the reason why even hardcore Arsenal fans(we talking as of recent as 7 years ago) now support Chelsea or Man City. The only dude that matches Floyd's defensive ingenuity is imo Whittaker. Toney whilst being one of the greatest defensive boxer of all time is not on Floyd's level I believe.

I have watched tapes of Locche. Easily one of top3-4 defensive boxers of all time. His reflexes are out of this world. The reason why i'd still rate sweet pea over him is simply because of the footwoork. Pernell's was much better.

Zidane was actually anonymous for pretty much the whole of the First half save for the goal. And His second half performance was not that much better.

The MOTM award He got was nothing short of a popularity contest. Makalele and Ballack both had better games. So did Saint Iker. Truth be told I can name half a dozen players who performed better than Zizou on the night.

Your definition of the term "WorldClass" differs from mine then.

Imo If a Footballer at any given point in time is amongst the top2-3 players in his position, then that player can be/should be seen as Worldclass. So the likes of Ferdinand,Terry,Carvalho,Ayala and Puyol were all worldclass at some point in their careers.

I also heard you talk about how they faired in comparison to stars from the past. Now that's an entirely different issue altogether. That's also where the term "Legends" comes in. All footballing legends at some point in time were world class players however not all worldclass players would turn out to be Legends of the game by the time their careers are over.

Dayo How were the likes of Carvalho and Ferdinand not world class? Were Puyol and Ayala worldclass in their prime?

Let me reiterate Nihillist's point again. In this current climate, PrettyBoy is pretty much unbeatable. He has simply perfected the sweet science of Hitting and not getting Hit which is let's be honest what boxing is all about. Yes many will call his style of boxing boring because He does not fight like one of those supposed "Mexican Warriors"(Iron Mike was a technician before He lost Cus)but to those naysayers I say if I wanted to watch a brawl, I'd hop on the next flight to Murtala and then get a taxi straight to Agege Motor park. There is a reason why this sport is known as the Noble Art. Lastly It takes a high level of skill to make your opponent repeatedly miss.
