steady986: Like when the Raptors were a matchup nightmare against the Cavs those days. But what happened in the playoffs?
The same Craptors that had Notorious Playoff Choker DeFrozen leading them? I'm sure you know quite well Kawhi is no Demar. He embraces the Limelight unlike Demar.
Khanben: Exactly, those who keep calling him a future MVP are just projecting something that might never happen. Giannis, Siakam to name a few are some of the comparables who came into the league without a jumper, but during the periods they were working on said jumper they at least took the shots rather than pass it up at every opportunity.
No one Called Him a "Future MVP" though. Lebron came in as that not Simmons. What was said was that He came into the league as a "Potential MVP Candidate" and that still stands. That He has refused to work on His game is all down to Him and nobody else.
steady986: Clippers against the Lakers vs Clippers against other strong teams
You simply have to accept that the Clippers are a Match Up nightmares for you lot just as the 76ers are a Match Up nightmare for the Bucks. That is just the way things are presently I'm afraid.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY ROSSONIERI FAITHFULS. MAY THE NEW YEAR USHER IN A DECADE OF DOMINANCE REMINISCENT OF THE LATE 80s/EARLY 90s.
FORZA THE GREATEST CLUB IN THE WORLD ASSOCIAZIONE CALCIO MILAN!
Kimbeast: @Roland17 & chic2pimp What's Your take on Ibrahimovic back to AC Milan
Only Gazidis is stupid enough to bring a finished Ibrahimovic back to Milan when he is clearly done with at this level.
100% against it. We should be looking forward not backwards. Let someone else have Him abeg. Chelsea for example need a Striker to take a bit of the pressure off Tamaraebi.
Embiid and Philly Boyz have been splendid so far. My MVP on the other hand has been subpar. If Philly had a better coach than Brown, I'd have them as outright favourite to come out of the East.
Ibime: PH is a small town. We all know each other, but nobody knows Burna. He left really young, probably before finishing primary school sef.
One of my close friends a Proper Port Harcourt- Britico Pikin knows the Ogulus quite well so I assumed you might know them too. Maybe not Burna but the Family itself.
Roland17: Shame no even gree me talk about today’s match.
Bruhhhh you ain't lying one bit. Tuned off after we went 2 Nil down. The most disheartening thing about this Loss was the Lack of Pride shown by this bunch of Primadonnas. If I had my way not only would each and everyone of them be fined 1 months wages, I'd also make sure they paid the Fan's fees(feeding, transport and gate) for a month too.
MVP MVP MVP....Giannis MVPtunkpo. Done in Just 31minutes. Dude was superhyped for this game.
Can Giannis and Siakam pls borrow Ben a bit of their Mentality? Dude desperately needs it right now. Also the Lakers Bench players either need to step up or the Front office has to take matters into their own hands. They are going nowhere fast with those bunch of players as they'll end up gassing out both AD and King James.
Ohhh my kind of Documentary. Definitely going to watch it eventhough I know Kobi was a reformed Gang Member. He left the Road life behind and was trying live life on the straight and narrow. Shame His past caught up with Him.
DeeMain: What does this say about our predilection to denigrate the contributions of other members of a team in favour of the superstar?
A tree does not make a forest. Teams win games because they are good. Being the best player in a good team counts for something but it is not the be all and end all.
We must devote some energy to praise the contributions of the other members.
Absolutely Bruh...The quality of Role players you have at your disposal plays a vital part in how far you'll go as a team. However even of more importance for a Team with Title Ambitions is a quality No2 player. It eases the burden on the Superstar player tremendously. There is a reason why a 2 Time Finals MVP made sure PG will sign before fully putting Pen to Paper with the Clippers.
And Btw Dallas a SERIOUS threat. They've now beaten both the Lakers and the Bucks. This win shows they are a good team(even better once Porzingis is full back)even without Luka. Luka is just the Icing that can potentially make them special.
It's not yet the Post Season and Middleton is already dropping Single Digit figures smh. And this vs a Doncic less Mavs team. He better realize this bunch are going nowhere fast before it gets too late.
KarnBarlow: Its no secret harden is the hardest player to guard in the NBA. Besides his all round skills which you can't deny you can't breathe on him without getting a foul called on you.
Foul baiting however much we dislike it is a Skill on it's own. Unstoppable force really.
Harden is a different kind of Breed. He is making 50+points(without barely any free throws btw)games look so normal it's getting ridiculous. When my MVP scores 50 for the Bucks, I'm in awe but not with Harden. This Animal sure is Special.
Oh btw having Faced Giannis, King James,AD and Harden in recent weeks, Jonathan Isaac when asked who was the hardest to Guard of the Lot was emphatically Chose Harden. That is saying a lot.
A40: Where is that chap chic2pimp that was hyping Ben Simmons and his Triple Single self. I don't know how anyone will watch Luka DONCIC play night in night out and type MVP anything beside Ben Simmons name.
If not for his above average defense he's just a tall MCW. I mean he's shooting below 60% from free throw range. Ewwww
Luka Doncic for MVP. It's like watching Kevin De Bruyne on the court. This kid is like 2 seconds ahead of everyone else. It's unreal
Bruh I said It's all in His Head. Once He gets it all figured out, you'll see the beast in Him unleashed. I reckon either Him or Embiid has to be traded first as I firmly believe He has to have a team built around Him to enable Him to flourish.
Also I said, He had "MVP Potential" coming into the League and that Still stands. Most overwhelming Numero Uno NBA draft picks have it. King James is probably the odd one out here. His was a case of "MVP in Waiting" not "Potential MVP".
SmooshCHN: It's tanking seasons. Nothing new. Even the ones who couldn't stay one month with the Cavs, the so called "I'm a LeBron fan, I go anywhere he goes" just want to troll the Warriors fanbase who don't jump from team to team. In other news, Draymond needs to learn some offense. We keep Alec Burks, Glen Robinson, Marquese, Bowman, Looney, Paschal. Those guys have proved themselves. Cauley Stein and DLO will eventually get traded. The rest can leave. Omari Spellman and Jordan Poole still needs to go to the G League. Alan Smailigic or whatever he is called isn't doing so bad. This season is a blessing in disguise. It's funny the the same trolls shouting now will be the ones calling the next championship plastic when the Warriors sign another KD type of free agent. A good season to see the NBA from another point of view. It's refreshing.
Yup definitely tanking however do you see a Franchise Cornerstone in the Next draft worth tanking for? As for Draymond, I think it's too late for Him to learn any sort of offence. Let Him continue being the Defensive linchpin and emotional leader for you lot. That suits Him down to a tee.
steady986: Let's be honest, Steph and Klay on this team will struggle to make the playoffs. This team is awful
LOOOL....Struggle gini? Steph and Klay completely changes the dynamics of this team. All of a sudden players like Draymond would start to look like an All Star. Not only do they comfortably make the Playoffs, they'll win at the very atleast one round.
LordAzubuike: GSW so poor even Newyork Knicks dey flog them.. .. shows how the absence of one man can define a team.
Yup!....They Do indeed miss the Chef and to a lesser extent Klay. Once they get those two players back and firing on all Cylinders coupled with one or two new additions, they'll be back. Top 3 in the West no single doubt in my mind.
donlittle25: I am.convinced you are trying to miss the point. If KD doesn't have two final MVPs right now, two rings, he would be rushing to get back into the game, doing everything he can quickly because he knows his time is going and younger and more hungrier players will keep coming up.
But ofc, that isn't the case, he has two rings, finals mvp, and has such, there is no pressure for him to come back soon. He will come back when he is 100%
