Medical : October 19th
Medical Passed : October 25th
Denial : November 17th
Conestoga College.

2nd Application
Submission/Biometrics: November 24th (Paper)
No medical request. I submitted my previous medical print out in the new application
Hadn't heard from them after 2 months plus, sent CIC an email, they responded and requested my new LO which I sent immediately.
Approval dropped this morning.

Purpose for denial were the generic reasons. purpose of visit, fam ties, length of stay, assets and financial status. In my previous application I had dealt with all of these reasons, still I was denied. I felt it was because I applied for a PGD.. so the only thing I changed in my new application was my School. luckily, I had an offer from Carleton .. that's what I changed.

Asides the fact that I changed my institution and program, one major thing I equally did was to rework my SOP. My new SOP was such that even the dullest VO can see the purpose of visit, length of stay, family ties, assets and financial status. (In my previous application, all these were dealt with, apparently not well enough).
What I believe worked against me was that I didn't show/explain my activities since I graduated in 2011. So that the VO doesn’t think that the PGD program is a plan to just leave the country. The SOP was just about my present job description. (I have come to know now that that is not enough). Were I the VO, I’d ask “But you finished your undergrad since 2011, what have you been doing. How come you even finished in 2011 when you finished secondary in 2001” (That’s me tho)?
The way I see it, the truth is Maters applicant have preference over PGD applicants. But if you are a PGD applicant, your SOP is your salvation. You will need to convince the VO of your intentions and why the choice program will help your cause. Show what you have been doing since you graduated, let the VO know you have not been idle. Attach a little background information. And prove the other items on the document checklist.
If you graduated with a 2.1/2.2 try the hardest you can to get a masters offer. I applied to Manitoba and was denied because my CGPA dint meet their requirement, na d same CGPA I use for Carleton U.

I got approval mail today.. passport has been dispatched.

I applied to Carleton in April, received my offer in November.

Sponsor is my company. But I paid 1 year tuition fees with my money (I showed that in my application ) and had a balance of about 2.5M in my personal account... I earlier applied to conestoga college before, Robotics and Industrial Automation.

I have read posts on money lodgement and the risk associated with using a company's SOA. I dint realize some of my mistakes till i had already submitted. I din't fret. I was convinced beyond doubt that God was on my case the more reason i even submitted hurriedly. All am saying do your best before you submit. When you submit the rest is beyond your control. Only God can do the unthinkable. Will share my docs later.

Closely surrounding areas are glebe, alta vista, billings bridge, Hull and a few others.

A massive appreciation for the job you do here.

I have a small issue I need clarification on.

I applied for my visa a few weeks ago using an admission from Conestoga college.
Just now I received an offer from Carleton university for MEng. Will this affect the outcome of my application??
How do I go about effecting this change to my application. A friend says I could go ahead and effect change when I get to the POE..

PS: I have been required to do my medicals.

What you need to concentrate on is the inclusion of documents which best present your personal, academic progress, financial situation and home ties not which route to use. Even Maple clients get refused as well after supposedly choosing the best route for their clients so the theory propounded by Maple that some routes are more favourable for certain academic program level is bunkum and preposterous.
The vast majority of study permit applications are determined solely based on the documents you have included with your application, not the route used to submit the application. It is important to submit relevant genuine verifiable documents and to accept full responsibility for the outcome as well (approved or refused) and if you wish a lot of selfless people here will help sort and review your documents free of any charge which is what Maple do for an overpriced service charge, the decision is yours to make and goodluck with your application.

Letter of introduction from my company. It is stated therein that I will resume work upon completion of my studies in canada.

Pay slips.
SOA from my coy. (18M balance but over 1.5bn in transaction in 6months )

company CAC documents.

My personal SOA n fixed deposit certificate (5M)
Reference letter from bank.

Affidavit of sponsorship from my company ( wherein it is declared that i will be fully sponsored by the company, i wont be a burdennon anyone and that I shall return upon completion of my studies).

My deed of gift and transfer of my plot of land.

Police character certificate

Letter of employment.

My certificates n transcripts.

A family photo.. ( My sister has a PR status and resides in British Colombia).

SOP.

The IMM documents.

I guess the amount to be contributed should equally be stated on the document, right?

If u can get a letter from the bank pls do buh if u can't u re good to go with the investment certificate.
For the SOP, write up whatever u can come up with and send it to d gurus here for review. dt was how i did mine. They are more than willing to help.

I guess ur school is Conestoga College
If u re applying for ur TRV online, u will be asked if worked is an essential component of ur studies and in dis case its yes. u will be asked to upload an evidence of work requirement in study. So I will advice u email plemieux@conestogac.on.ca nd also copy internationaladmissions@conestogac.on.ca requesting for a Letter stating that work is a necessary requirement for the completion of ur studies.

I am about to apply for my Visa and wanted to run my documents by you guys first particularly on the subject of finance.

I have save up to about 5.2M which in fixed deposit and maturity date is in September. That safely covers my tuition and the 10,000CAD minimum required by the embassy for living expenses. I have the fixed certificate. (Do I need to get a letter from the bank??)

My company, where I work, is part sponsoring my living expenses for which I will sign a bond agreement to come work with them upon my return. I have the company's SOA, CAC papers, Letter of introduction, letter of sponsorship.

I have a sis who has a PR status in canada, she resides in British Col, my school is in Ontario. Will that affect my application??

Can someon please help me with a SOP.. words fail me in composing.. I seem to have it all in my mind but when I start to type the words just up an leave.. sad!!
