i am a bit aroof that cococandy and pocohantas opted MIA on these one, as long as the verdict is not hang the man, i remember in the 90's my mom's friend a uk citizen but she prefers to stay n party in Nig. took her lawyer husband abroad ... and she said all through the vacation she was policing her husband cos he was acting so mesmerised about the place , make he no go run away abandon her n the kids.
my wide guess is that the woman facilitated her husband travelling abroad and when they got there the man was getting exclusive benefits, that infuriated the woman
out of anger & insecurity she manipulated the man to come back to Nigeria , and for her mind she took her "ladder" back
when a woman makes a Man ......

Philipponzaghi: Tinubu's political savvy is unmatched. His ability to navigate through the complexities of Nigerian politics is commendable. With strong grassroots mobilization and a keen understanding of the APC dynamics, he's set to surprise many in 2027. Wike's influence only adds to the intrigue. The man is a master strategist, and I believe he will emerge victorious once again. You need to stop playing and update your mind, Yes Nigerians know Tinubu is political savy and some are even mermerised by Tinubu doggedness and political acumen But above all Nigerians thought TiNuBU built Lagos which was his major source of credit But today, under one year All we've have seen his an over rated old man, every action or policies gives Tinubu out that he is not what Nigerians took him for and thats the point we are across the nation political bandwidth no doubt, Tinubu owns the grasssroots but our present reality depicts the revolted against Tinubu administration is emanating from the grass root ... the ebi pa waaa outcry was from those in the grassroot and the "end bad governance outcry" emanated from the grass root in the North Interestly we witness how more peasants rejected govt #5k to stage an anti protest under 1yr all these are build up that signifies Tinubu will be a market hard to sell by his mobilizers come 2027, apparently the Northerners have being shortchanged and they don't easily forget Unfortunately for Tinubu, Buhari has shown Nigerians once a failure in 1st term, continuously a failure in 2nd term., nothing changes , Nigerians are learning the hard way |

Take some moment to read your post again. Why should the Nigerian Customs Service sell rice to Nigerians a few Lagos residents in the first place? Don't we have enough markets in Lagos for that purpose?
Serves Nigerian madness right? SMH. In a working society, the Customs boss ought to be locked up permanently for at least 35 years in Kirikiri. People lost their lives in their bid to get a bag of rice. "People" in this context include a middle age APC women leader in Lagos. sulaak: Do we have an enabling environment in Nigeria? Electricity? Clean Water, Sewage, Roads, Rail, Security, reliable internet and mobile services.
The reason the NLC is always asking for a pay rise is that the average Nigerian has to be his own government. Hence, it makes sense to sell rice at a profit to fund the school fees or diesel for the generator.
I am old school and grew in Nigeria when the country produced local cars, white electronic goods,
I don't support PDP, APC, or LP, but the Tinubu government is beyond hopeless. They are supposed to be in government to solve the previous government's failure. Tinubu was well aware of the food production problem, so what did he do? He removed all the fuel subsidies and then took a trillion-dollar loan to build a new Lagos-Calaber coastal road. Is that logical to you?
The impact of the fuel subsidies removal is what has destroyed the economy; due to the lack of electricity and mass transit system, Nigerians are forced to generate their own power and transportation, so when you remove subsidies, the entire economy collapses.
Why can't Nigeria increase crude oil production? Who is the minister of petroleum? i get that in Nig.every individual is his or her own govt ... but sourcing for what is free or subsidize to sell at exorbitant price is ancestery madness that can only be find among Nigerians, cos from the leaders down to the people majority are sick Before govt came up with 40k rice, public servant no pay rent or pay children school fee so why should a palliative over night be the only means to survive Tinubu is a disaster we know, but Nigerians are terrible people ... before Tinubu Nigeria was a mess last i checked |

This has nothing to do with the average Nigerian; taking advantage of economic opportunities is common sense.
The problem is with the Nigerian government, which has neglected the farmers and relies on small-scale farmers. If there were abundant food production in Nigeria, the price would immediately fall. Are you paying for sunlight or air?
The solution is not palliative or food importation but local food production....simple.
The government should support industrial-scale food producers, provide loans and grants for equipment and fertiliser, and ensure sufficient security . call it whatever, the truth is bitter its always convenient for us to curse & blame the govt at everything but Nigerians are very sick people ..you will find mosquito net shared by WHO in supermarkets for sale , See bro nobody is taking advantage of any economic ... what we are doing as Nigerians is inflict more pains and hardship on one another extortion.... . we are taking advantage of ourselves nii .. you cheat me on rice i cheat you back when you come to buy pepper nii Govt as only one fault in our food production, i.e insecurity challenge cos farmers can't go to farm freely, however a temporary measure such as opening land borders and lifting bans on grains would ensure food abundances pending the time govt find lasting solutions to resolve insecurity around Farm lands All a good Govt need provide is anenabling environment.... just provie enabling environment and capitalist will thrive .. no brainer |

Acidosis: There is nothing illegal or immoral about their decision to resell these bags of rice at the current market price of 85k. We should ask Tulumbu why he remains so ignorant as to think he can sell bags of rice to some Nigerians at half the market price and expect them not to resell it for profit to meet their other household needs. Shey those of us buying for 85k are d v m b abi? LMAO!
No poor, struggling Nigerian today would resell a bag of rice they bought for 40k at the same price in a market where everyone buys for 85k wen no be say they're d u m b. Did these people beg you for rice?? Will rice solve their energy, electricity, school fees, rent, and other inflationary issues??
Until Tulumbu and his arch demons in power abandon the idea of trying to solve every systemic problem in Nigeria with skewed palliatives, nothing will change. Reselling what govt already subsidizied at an higher price is criminal and wrong in all ways the fact they are meant for direct comsumption prohibit resales Such callous moves undermines the objective of subsidy to relieve hardship Selling what you bought for 40k at 85k is criminal and a act of wickedness |

EponObi: See how Baba Iyabo dey talk like say the rot and mess we are experiencing today didn't start with him.
He's talking about Nigeria putting all her eggs in one basket. Lol. What did he do to diversify our economy as a military head of state and the first and a two-term president after 1999? The man even pushed a third term agenda.
Didn't everyone of them since 1960 abandon agriculture and chase after oil money?
"I believe we made a very, very deadly mistake" - No sir, I believe YOU made a very, very deadly mistake.
When you invited Shell and they told you about the corruption ruining our refineries, sir, what did you do with the power given to you by the people to crush the cabal and rot in our oil industry? You were president for 8 years, what did you do to put the interest of the people as priority? What efforts did you make to change the trajectory of the NNPC for the benefit of the common Nigerians?
What was OBJ's stride in our gas sector? What policies and reforms did he introduce to the gas industry? What were his implementations? Didn't he flare our gas too?
OBJ is saying shit, with all due respect. This is the person some idiots are rallying around because the man they hate so much became president.
Tinubu's bad policies implementions aside, at least for the first time since 1960, we have a brave president who has the political will, muscle, and clout to repurpose our economy. And if he and the APC had allowed GEJ the weakling remove the subsidy in 2011, we would have moved past this pain - Tinubu has a share of this blame too.
There's no going back from here, inshallah. The economy must be rejigged, no matter how pain and strenuous the process may be. History will remember Tinubu for not taking the easy route of padding our economy.
Edit: Some idiots are quoting me to say trash. The truth is bitter, so deal with it. Some were saying shit about good economy under OBJ. Lol, even a retard could run our economy like he did because of the oil boom. Go and check how much Nigeria earned with crude oil sales between 1999 and 2006. Then compare with next successive governments.
The crazy oil money during that time was one of the reason they all abandoned other critical areas of the economy for oil. They took the easy way and we are suffering it today. They didn't foresee that the oil mania will end, or perhaps, they saw but didn't care because they knew they won't be the ones to deal with the problem. Nigerians just don't think, that's the issue. So far any 10 IQ president can subsidize their PMS and dollars, they think all is well and won't give a f*uck about their own future or that of the next generation.
All you want is government handouts in the form subsidies then you later cry that the country is retrogressing in economic and infrastructural development. One idiot even asked me to mention one third world country that isn't subsidizing their citizens. Oponu, must Nigeria remain a third world country for life, even after 60 years since independence? This is the kind of imbeciles that sell all they have and secure loans to japa to sane countries where nothing is free. Ode!
The country using 96% of our revenue to service loan; shouldn't that be a concern for any right thinking citizen? Instead of asking past governments how and why we got to this point, the average Nigeria won't so far you give them subsidies as if they are orphans. And before you say dogshit, OBJ didn't have to borrow because of massive oil revenue. We started borrowing after the oil boom was over. And mind you, we shouldn't have borrowed to the extent where almost all our revenue is used to service loans if OBJ diversified our economy from the start with the massive influx of income Nigeria earned during his time. He should have been the person to lay our economic blueprint and like I've said, he took the easy route and avoided the hard work.
What happens to your business when 100% of the money you make per month is used to repay loans and the situation is even worse that you are still sourcing for more loans to make your business stay afloat? If you can't answer that, keep shut whenever the Nigeria economy is being discussed.
Zero agriculture, terrible gas economy, no other economy sector, zero manufacturing + production just subsidies, vibes and inshallah plus crazy level of importation, and you, OBJ, is now complaining that our youths are redundant. Thunder fire you, sir. you talk too much and ended up misfiring ... if only you take cognisance of reality as learned as you sound you should know so much demonized "subsidy " is back and it even worst cos it as no appropriate or budget, More if you have a active memory to will know the Tinubu led administration as only succeed in spending more subsidizing than any previous regimes....do the comparison the most painful part the subsidy this time is fully effort in futility, the governors are just smiling to aso rock, so much billions expended on palliative measure yet no visible effect ... with the rate of Tinubu failure will the end ever justify the means All over the world the govt is actively committed to subsisizing Therefore no Prof/scholar can convince us subsidy is bad infact Tinubu form of subsidizy should be criminalize, Tinubu should be in yaba left by now cos tgw route he took depict these man is sick upstair, we dont even know much we spend subsidizing fuel anymore but we know they are subsidizing |
