Cafisis: Authentication or Attestation of certificate is a formality done to prove that your certificates are not fake. For Educational certificates like WAEC, NECO, ND, HND, BSc, MSc etc.You have to first Authenticate in Ministry of Education(MOE) then proceed to Ministry of Foreign Affairs(MOFA) and finally to the UAE Embassy for the final authentication. MoE and MoFA will place their seal while UAE embassy will place their Sticker Seal on your certificates(the photocopy as the case may be)
It is feasible to get Engineering job if you are qualified enough with the recognised certifications.
Job seekers normally come with 3 months visit visa to have enough time to look for job, in that case Emirates airline cannot help you. Look for someone in UAE or Nigeria who you can trust and get your visa. Never pay more than 180k. You can get it for lesser depending on who is handling the process. Thanks for the reply, quite enlightening. So you mean i cant process the 3months visa myself unless with the help of someone. I just dont want to deal with any agent again no matter what thats why I need guide lines to get the visa myself to Abu Dhabi and search for a job. |

REBEKITAB123: Good Morning All, i am also new to Nairaland i just created my account today. although i ve been reading a lot of post in here, i never knew i add to register to be able to comment. Anyways i have a lot of questions and i beg all the gurus in the house to please answer me. i ve registered for IELTS exam and also paid for IQAS . 1)I'm Married but my husband deserted my 2 kids and i since 2015. i just initiated a divorce proceeding on the 7th of this month simple because of the EE process so as not to involve him for any medical etc. With the way Nigerian litigation process is, do i enter the pool a married or divorced?
2)If divorced, do i have to do a new passport have my maiden name or i can continue with present passport having my marital name.
3)Do i just get a separation agreement and apply to a family court for custody of my Kids. Since i know the Divorce process will take forever in Nigeria I think option 3 is what you will do. Let the elders weigh into the matter |

maternal: I had this discussion with a Yoruba guy who's been in Canada going on 10 years. He came through the EE, he's now a citizen and will be voting in his 2nd election. He lives a good life and started a family. He refuses to vote liberals because according to him they're opening the border, letting a lot of immigrants in without vetting them. I honestly wanted to slap him. Canada is actually one of the hardest countries to get into. I feel this man likes the advantage he has over his family and friends in Nigeria. Very wicked man. See the heart of an African man. More reason why corruption cant be erased in our system |

1stdami: Noob question
Please I want to know if one can be denied PR through canada Express entry even if one meets the required CRS score.
Something similar to applying for study permit where you can be rejected even after giving all proofs that you are a real student. It is unlike the student visa where you can be denied even though youve gotten an admission. However for Express Entry, so far all your documents are legit and no misinterpretaton you will surely have it. Please no more questions and go to page 1, its full of info. If you want to hide a knowledge from a black man, write it in a book. So brother read read an read page 1. Thank me later |

mosbiod: ATS: Applicant Tracking System. A computer code that uses keywords to filter applicants before your application would even get to be seen by humans in the HR. You have to know how to get your CV to get past this stage before you can have a hope of getting interviews if not hundreds of application will keep leading to no single interview.
If you already have your ECA done with WES in the course of your PR process just go back to your account on WES website and upgrade your evaluation to a course by course. You will pay some fee but not as expensive as starting from scratch and you don’t need to send further documents unless WES specifically asked for it. But be sure of what your Engineering Body is requesting. APEGA for example requests course by course evaluations from WES. Thanks for the info |

Again will I get more points if I add my MSc degree which I'm currently undergoing on my application? No additional points if you add BSc just use your highest qualification. |

mosbiod: Not a Civil Engineer but also a fellow Engineer and it's all the same process. Start your Course by Course Evaluation as soon as you can so it's ready by the time you land and you can proceed with the Certification, however, if you have a lot of working experience say 4-5 years of Solid Experience (You might be asked to take an Exam if your experience is from Nigeria/Africa and you're gunning for Professional Membership). If you have less than 4-5years of experience you will be considered as an EIT (Engineer in Training).
There's not much you can do in Naija before coming than to prepare your mind to hop on all opportunities that comes your way when you land. Brush your interview skills and update your CV and Cover letter writing skills to get past ATS and land you interviews. Be ready to start small until you get what you want. Civil Engineering is doing great in Ontario and BC.. opportunities in Calgary area too, apply to as many as you can, network on LinkedIn like crazy and talk to people as soon as you land. So Insighful, thank you for the info. Please what is ATS and no prior experience in the field yet apart from Internship Please the course by course is still same thing like getting ECA done or it has a different process if am using WES? Thank you very much |

Please something has been bothering me.
2years ago, prior to when I heard about EE, I tried DUBAI work visa with an agent helping me out. He told me in a month but after 3months visa is still not ready and I just wanted to leave naija then. Something came up in naija that would last for about 2years so then I told the man to withdraw the visa and took about more than 5months to get my PASSPAORT from him.
When filling out the Express entry form, about travel history or have I be denied any visa before question, since I do not know the main info about that visa up to date whether I was given or the man didnt do anything or probably denied sef. This bothers me on what to fill when the time comes on travel history.
Will an LOE do explaining or I should ignore travel history as I have not travelled to anywhere before. |
