That's all u need man. Go to osogbo LG and apply for it. There may even be people who will broker for u there as we it in ib. They may delay u If u approach directly with their stupid questions abt ur bio. They will want to know if u're truly from the town. All in all, as far as u're a yoruba de will issue u one signed by LG chairman. I have friends who got theirs from ib then and they are not form ib. DarkPheonix: I also want to know if certificate of residence in a state can be used in place of local government of origin certificate |
Education › Re: I Was Rejected In My Local Government, Please Help Me. by chiefhead007: 7:21pm On Jan 11, 2020 |
Certificate of origin is issued by local govt not OPU. It is only LG that is authorized to issue such. All u need do is to approach LG. perhaps ur dad may be nursing political ambition in osun state which may be reason he's claiming the state. Not all schs request for this shit. I only got to know about cert of origin when I got admission into fedpoly in ede in 2002. And I presented cert of origin issued by LG then. DarkPheonix: Hello nairalanders, I need enlightenment, advice, solution on this issue bothering me. All my life me and my siblings have been told we are osogbo in osun state and so we've always input osun state as the state of origin, from my birth certificate to my ssce result which is the highest qualification I have now, all state I'm from osun. Problem started when I want to obtain the local government of origin certificate for admission purpose because all schools require it, I was directed to Osogbo people union (OPU), when I got there I was told I need to obtain a form and fill my data into it, and indicate my ancestral compound in the form, at this point I had no clue what to input into the space so I called my Dad, he told me to fill in his own surname which I did. The form was taken to the house bearing the name my dad gave me, so as to verify if we are really from there and also for the oldest member of the family to sign the form, but I was rejected there I was told they don't know anybody in the family who is a Christian and also they are not familiar with my father's name, I was never given the certificate. N.B. Later got to know that we are actually from oyo State, Atiba local government. The problem now is that all my documents indicate I'm from osun state and I was told I can't be issued local government of origin certificate but only local government residency certificate in osun I want to know is it possible to use local government residency certificate in place of local of origin certificate. olawalebabs , Fynestboi , Richiez , mynd44 please help me move it to front page. |

See finishing o. Great analysis MetaPhysical: In taxation, the state gets more than half of its tax revenue from industrial sector.
All those manufacturing plants along Oshodi-Apapa Xpress, Isolo, inward to Ilupeju. Then the ones at Ikeja. These are the biggest revenue generators. They tax at ports, they pay property tax, they pay capital gains tax, they pay environmental waste tax, they employ workers who pay tax, they pay profit tax. Majority of them are owned by foreigners. The indigeneous ones are mostly owned by Yorubas.
Next to them are real estate developers. Real estate developrs should be in lead and ahesd of industrial complexes if all buildings, residential & commercial, get permits before they are erected. Ibo is tenant at homes and in shops so your contribution is negligible. More of you sleep in shops that in an apartment or house.
Markets come next. Ibo markets can never ever outstrip revenue generated by various markets spread all over Lagos Island, in Tejuosho/Yaba, in Ebute Meta, Mile12, Mile2, Ikorodu, Palmgrove, Mushin, Ojota, Ketu...and so on.
Art and culture.... Do you see Yorubamen in wrapper, Isiagu and winter hat? Look around and see how many Ibos are in sokoto, buba and agbada, with gobi on their head. See your women dressed in Yoruba attire. When it comes to arts and culture let me just say you have been Yorubanized.
Nollywood and music. Yoruba has always owned theater in Nigeria. We continue to own theater even today. In music, many Yoruba musicians have become household names around the globe. We have over 10 genres of music in credit to Yoruba culture.
Igbo women Mttchhhew...do you mean prostitution?
Airport/seaport....how many ships are owned by Ibos? What do you contribute to airport beside drugs?
Churches...you flock Yoruba churches so much that Kanu even vented and showed his hatred with a promise to kill Kumuyi for going to East.
This guy is not serious. |

Don't mind d OP. Ao many of his igbo brothers u see on this thread. They understandably avoid the thread to save themselves from the thrash the OP put up. LegendHero: The OP dosen't understand basic economic ideologies.
It is a truth that almost 50% or more of the Igbo that are rich makes their money outside their region. This explains the basic common sense that always trail their vacation to the East in December to showcase their wealth to the not-too-rich SE dwellers.
The Southwest is a region that can thrive on its own because of its purchasing power and peaceful environment to allow business thrive. This explains why the SW is the major destination for foreign investments in Nigeria.
It will be delusional for the OP to claim the SE can cripple SW economically coz every indices points to the contrary. |

Don't mind dem. They believe it is Arabic inscription while it's actually hausa language written in Arabic letters (Ajami) the way yoruba and igbo inscriptions are on some notes too. Hausa had be writing and documenting their history with this Arabic inscription b4 anything education got to the south. Mynd44: Dead case.
FG will kuku tell the court there is no Arabic insignias there since it is Ajami that is there |

I like ur analysis and that's the best they should go but I think is late for Iran to toe ds way. America will never leave Iran untamed and unmonitored. Perhaps they will never trust dem. Though it's clear Iran will not retaliate in any time soon. They will take their time and observe as the things unfold until they ascertain themselves to take the consequences. Moreover, Iran is strictly Shia country and anyone who is familiar with the shiism will know ao esteem they hold self-sacrifice. They will not care if the war consume dem but they wil definitely respond when the opportunity presents itself. CSTR2: One of the biggest regrets in America's intelligence circles is the fact that they failed to finish off China when they had the chance. Republicans joke about it openly.
They could have finished them off when China was poor and weak but they didn't?
Why? Because China were smart enough to respect themselves and be quiet, and so america never saw them as a threat in a million years.
Iran must copy same. |

People are saying Iran is in the midst of enemies like Saudi, Qatar UAE and Co. But the first nation to send envoy to sympathize is Qatar to avoid altercation with Iran. Truly Iran can't match America in a war but they can cause havocs to their interest and allies. Their allies know this and they will want to prevent it. Russia have come out to condemn the attack saying it against the international law, same way China tolled. May God help us. |

[sub][/sub]leyland is still assembling but not to full capacity Sha. Omihanifa: The main question is how many of these companies are working?
Because I know for sure that leyland in Ibadan is dead. And it's been like that for close to 15 years.
Same thing applies to Volkswagen. Infact that Volkswagen assembly plant has been converted to where they warehouse bottle water (mowa water) |
