Newton85: Lol, Anambla's budget is just about 40% of Ogun State's budget so I'm not sure why you and your people are chestbeating, lol.
You are not intelligent.. Anambra state could have also raised there budget like ogun state did.. Then it would have been only lagos and rivers who could fund thr budget
JaroMan: Two factors that majorly influence tax are population and industrialization. If state A has more VAT return to FG than state B, it simply implies that state A is either more industrialized than state B or more populated or both. Now if the state is more industrialized, then it will have more IGR. This is my basic understanding. I maybe wrong. Because, Lagos and Rivers have always maintained high IGR and high VAT(industries and population). Same with Ogun(industries), Kano(population), Kaduna and Oyo states. But the question now is: why can't they fund their budgets?
Anambra have industries.... But there economic policy is to deliberately keep tax low to attract investors.. Its been working for them that's why they have thriving homegrown industries both medium and small scale industries. That's why they have low IGR..
SmokedWhiskey: Is Anambra in a better off position than Akwa Ibom or even Kano? I seriously doubt it; This is one of those write ups that dances around in circles without saying nothing ; That you are able to fund your budget without borrowing does not necessarily mean you are in a better off position than those that borrowed. Some states are investing heavily in strategic infrastructure so In the interim their books may be in the red. You cannot argue that a man earning 5k a month who has not taken any loans , is better off than a man earning 500k a month who owes one million. Yes we know that several states cannot stand on their two feet, nothing new there. ; if however you must paint a picture of which states are doing well, let us compare for each state what the total revenue from federal allocation is, the IGR, the debt burden and the revenue to debt ratio and we can go from there, this would had served as a much better basis for comparison.
After all you long epistle and trash. Anambra is ahead of kano and Akwa ibom. In all indices of development...
Emergingnation1: True talk !! Why's Anambran preffered Bankers to be their Governors peter Obi , the present governor and the governor elect are all bankers..
bankers are the only people who have the time mostly after retirement.. You dont expect a man who have a manufacturing company he nutured from nothing to grow and come to love.. U expect such person to leave such business because of politics wen he knows his company can be burnt or closed down due to naija toxic political landscape

Chikeluba25: What of ancillary/support services..... Airport taxis, etc... Someone should invest in that sector of the airport i.e Private and government partnership. Airpeace and hopefully UN Airline are already doing well in their own field. The bright future and good maintenance culture lies on Government/private partnership, especially in a capital project like airport. Anambra as a sate is blessed to have well to do/ capable indigenes who understand this principle. I think our illustrious sons who are into land transportation should use this opportunity.
Bolt already in Anambra... Ivm connect should take over
Fact-Check: Did White Helicopter Deliver Weapons to Fulani Herdsmen for Banditry in the Forest?
CLAIM: A video has gone viral on social media platforms, especially WhatsApp claiming that Fulani bandits are taking receipt of weapons from the Nigerian military in a forest.
VERDICT: The content of the video and the narrative that followed is misleading as there is INSUFFICIENT evidence to prove the claim.
FULL TEXT: Following the emergence of an unverified video, the social media platforms, including WhatsApp, Facebook and youtube have been awash with the clip, claiming that Fulani Bandits were receiving weapons in an unidentified forest.
This claim is emerging in the wake of insecurity that has continued to plague Northern parts of the country due to the gruesome activities of some unscrupulous bandits, kidnappers and terrorists.
VERIFICATION: Using Chrome extensions Invid fake news debunker, PRNigeria extracted image keyframes contained in the video and used the results to undertake a Google, Bing, Yandex and Tineye reverse image research. No result linked the clip to any credible media platform or Youtube video channel which means that the source of the video is not trusted as there was no other contextual result linked to the clip.
The initial youtube channel that posted the video linked to the result of the reverse image search, was a channel that had secessionist agitator Nnamdi Kanu’s photo on its profile.
Furthermore, using the video analysis tool of the Invid verifier extension, PRNigeria examined the clip on the channel which YouTube flagged the channel’s content licensing as FALSE.
PRNigeria further did a content analysis of the clip including background sound and visual representations and concluded that the background dialect sounded strange to a Nigerian language much less Fulani.
Similarly, while the helicopter and background sound seem superimposed on the video, the vegetation showed some trees and even tall grasses plants that are not common in the North, especially at this period.
PRNigeria also reached out to a top security officer who confirmed that the Nigerian Military does not have the kind of branded aircraft seen in the clip and the emblazoned safety jackets worn by the actors are not by men of the Nigerian security services.
The senior military officer said: “The scene in the video is not in Nigeria. We don’t have that type of helicopter in the inventory of the Nigerian Airforce (NAF) and none of the security services wears that kind of emblazoned safety jacket that could easily expose their brand identity. That helicopter did not land anywhere in Nigeria.”
CONCLUSION: There is INSUFFICIENT evidence to prove the claims about the viral video, therefore, based on metadata analysis and other forensic investigations, the claim is both false and misleading.

festacman: I am not FFK's fan but the fact that he ALWAYS has a RESIDENT young fair woman proves that Precious' statement might not be completely right. He changes them often and they always including Precious tend to look happy around him.
However, the mystery here is why FFK would prefer to use artificial insemination to have babies with Precious instead of intercourse. By the way FFK hasn't refuted the artificial insemination story.
In summary, the shameful exchanges between FFK and Precious is a pointer to the that the two parties are a tad mentally unbalanced.
Those young fair girls are all gold diggers. There for the money and fame.. They can take anything because they usually re not emotionally involved
unshakablejihad: The Sagamu Road Police Division said it has arrested a 41-year-old man, Sikiru Kolawole, for allegedly being in possession of fresh human parts. The Spokesman of the Lagos Police Command, Mr Adekunle Ajisebutu, who confirmed the incident, said that the suspect was reportedly found with fresh human hands, intestines and skull from Ojokoro cemetery in Ikorodu. “The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID) at Panti, Yaba, for diligent investigation and prosecution. Earlier, the Ikorodu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Wasiu Adesina, who led members of his cabinet to the scene of the crime, said the council promised to do everything necessary to curtail the dastard act and its reoccurrence.
The council boss immediately directed the environment department to clear every part of the cemetery to avoid any black spot inside and outside, adding that the apprehended suspect would be dealt with according to the law to serve as a deterrent to others.
“While we take care of the living, the council has mandated itself to cater for our dead ones and that is why we have rehabilitated the Ikorodu cemetery to international standard.
“I will ensure proper security measures are put in place and deal ruthlessly with anybody engaging in such illegitimate act at the cemetery.
“We have done lots of rehabilitation, illuminating the cemetery with solar power, provided water system and perimeter fencing,” he said.
Mr Nurudeen Lawal, one of the local guards at the cemetery, said that they engaged with the suspect in combat before he was apprehended around 1:30 am with a sack full of human parts while trying to escape. “We carry out surveillance round the cemetery at least three to four times in a shift to observe the surroundings.
“Suddenly, we started hearing some funny sound, on getting there we saw the suspect with a sack loaded so we challenged him on how he got in and his mission at the cemetery.
“During the interrogation, we challenged him to open his sack, he resisted and it resulted in a combat and trying to use the weapon with him to scare us away to enable him flee. “Subsequently, we grabbed and took him to the police station with the human parts for further interrogation,” Lawal said.
