No difference

Reducing the size doesn't help.

It's really sharper and clearer on my phone.

On the bright side
It's to motivate you all.
Come here and see the clearer one with your eyes grin shocked

Try using a third-party camera app like camera360, Sweet Selfie, etc to take the shots
If that doesn't work you can use the normal camera and try adjusting the aspect ratio (photo scale) and the photo size (resolution).

BTW thanks for the continuous updates, it helps me see Ireland through your eyes cheesy
Hmmmm, I'll try to reduce the size hopefully, the smaller version looks great in Quality.
Nairaland has a limit on the photo size that can enter.
But its work on my part cry

Lemme experiment here

I really appreciate your sharing. But just a quick one. The 4.6m is it for just tuition? Then followed by another 4m or 2.7m Eurobond as pof.
4.6M for tuition
2.7 for eurobond.

For some reasons I didnt just trust the eurobond. My sponsor showed 4M in his account. That is the second alternative to POF

Wonderful
Pedestrian walk ways are even scarce here (talking about Owerri) let alone slopes.
How can man and machine be sharing the same road, plus drunk drivers, mistakes behind the steering, distractions from opposite sex, lol. No wonder people are dying anyhow. I knew hiw many times I over dream and the car will be going offroad, and I had to quickly adjust, good thing there was pedestrian walkway in some parts of Lagos.

I have seen lots of pitbulls in this country than I ever saw in Nigeria.
This one caught my eyes, as I was passing by, it was just looking at me, Eye to Eye. It was as if time froze, the muscle definition will make you think these dogs Gym.
Before a human will attain such, himself will know he worked hard.
This is why anything that breathes cant handle power,
it corrupts and all. Thats why little power by way of status, responsibility, money and people change.

This particular dog appeared calm. Imagine if its head touch, what it will do with all of that strength. No wonder dogs like this easily maul their owner or send any unfortunate thief to meet his Maker.

One thing I observed here is the attention to details.
The little things actually count. They might be small but over time, the impact will be felt. You will enjoy it in your final days, when your back is bent and every comfort you find around means alot even though you shrugged them as nothing in the days of your Youth. Your children enjoy them and are grateful for these little things when they walk in three legs.
A simple consideration as putting slopes in the pedestrian road looks like a small thing but these things will be there for centuries. These are the categories of people it will affect

Those that cycle.
When I bought my first bicycle from the young man. I took it for a spin. I didnt observe the pedestrian slope, lol, let me give it that name. I tried to enter into the pedestrian road to aviid the incoming traffic using naija sense and ruggedness, as if I was in a movie I found myself on the floor. Vehicles around were just looking at me. Chei.
Because it was raining and it was when I went to the village last I touched a bicycle. Plus cycling in the city of lagos, my parents didnt want me to mention it twice, but preferred I used the car.
It was a wake up call, my vision opened and I saw the slopes. Long Story cut short

The Elderly.
Imagine if you have cement blocks on your legs, how can you walk on the road as if you're using the stairs. My mum had arthritis and complains alot walking short distances, she always preferred to take a long route that has a BRT so she could avoid the sharp pavement. Is is that Julius Berger CEOs haven't been to Ireland or this is what our leaders chose. Old people here also have a small trolley that looks like a baby carrier. They have wheels, this is what they use to carry their groceries. They cant kill themselves. Carrying stuff on your head.....

Cars
Due to the limited space around, you can easily park in the pedestrian walkway, the slopes gives you that access. We also have a city in Nigeria with big issues in parking....Lagos.
The slooe we have in Lagos is individual-owned and one sided, that is they drive in and reverse out, Lol, if you enter it with your bike in speed, the shock you'll get from landing can crack your two eggs as a man.

In all, Life isnt fair to those that haven't crossed the borders.

If you have the real name of those "slopes"

Thanks for the answer. Though am about to finish my Bsc in microbiology this year.and plan to jakpa to Canada but I see there are too many Nigerian and immigrant there . so I concluded Ireland is still better in term of mass immigration. No too many Nigeria remember that place, our head is full of Canada, UK,USA ,Australia and the like. Am coming for my Master and I see National university of Galway requirements is Okay for me.but am still confused whether I should go for MSC microbiology or MSC biomedical science considering the Job market for both.any suggestion
That's good, you're doing well

But since you have bsc in micro... why not look for an MSC in biomedical....... I have not considered which one has better job prospect, but specialization isnt the best sometimes.

Germany is great but most European nations are locking up against Nigerians.

Let's see what coronavirus would do to their mentality anyway.

Because Spanish illegal migrants are jumping on boats to Morocco. Inside Life!
That's is true, the thing with Germany is that they're still open, it's just that it takes longer cos lots of people are on it.

This covid19 has changed alot of things. We will see the impact after things are back to normal

@cgiggsglover thanks so much for educating us on this immigration stuff. But will like to know how does the network provider works over there.(like our mtn and airtel here in Nigeria)
how to get/register sim in Ireland and
the best phone to usE over there, which phone is common there .
Thanks man
The network providers here are very flexible, different packages, speed and all depending on your need. We have the following

Vodafone
This is the iPhone of the network providers
Very expensive, little data though they have good speed. The minimum you can pay monthly is €20 for 20gig.
First sim I got when I came here and I japka to lycamobile. You cant even call naija with that plan sef. Cos of its expensive, they have great customer service and outlets scattered around the city center. You have to pay more to enjoy more

Lycamobile
This is the Techno of the network.....
Very affordable with some plan going for around €5 for no calls with 3gig data. Its flexible, you have the plan if you want more data, or more international credit to call home or just call. The student plan is €12.50 for 25gig data some credit to call Nigeria, and unlimited call and sms within Ireland. Unlimited plan is €25, you'll be able to call naija conveniently. thing is their network is on 3G. Guess it doesnt get to my house.
They have terrible customer service, I ordered for their sim, and it never arrived at all. They haven't even replied to my mail till date. That's the issue I have with them.
When my house wifi had issues, I needed more data . Me that uses 4.5 gig monthly in Nigeria, 25gig no dey reach anywhere even when wifi was working. So I transferred my number to Eir mobile.

Eir
Only reason I moved to Eir is that the unlimited plan is cheaper, they have 4G which goes on and off. Since the wifi is not there, I needed to keep up my new lifestyle as I watch Aljazeera, CNN, YouTube live and other consistently. I could do this with Eir for €20. I ordered the sim online and on the Third day it came.
If not for the lockdown, I would have done my heavyweight downloading in school but I need to update you guys na.
Then I transferred my line to the Sim. I will switch back to lycamobile when the wifi starts to work. Switching in this country is transferring your number to a new network. In Nigeria grin, due to free browsing, cheats and plan differences, I had mtn, airtel, etisalat and glo sim, ready to switch once I spotted a better offer. Main line was aired.
I had two phones also.
I didnt know lycamobile had a cap on their "unlimited data" which was 100gig. Before 5days, I consumed I got a message telling me that

You have reached 100% of the monthly Fair Use Policy allowance. Further data usage may be subject to limited speeds.

It's like they brought it down to 3G even though the 4G is showing. They just brought it down to lycamobile level, lol. I checked and saw that I found pay €30 to get a 750gig cap, voila. But I'm still enjoying the way it is now, its fast, I can stream, watch Netflix, but downloading huge file is terrible.

Tesco, Anpost, I haven't used these,

For phones, buying a phone with a monthly plan isnt a good idea. It pays to buy it outright. Its cheaper. I rather order it .
You can get a sim easily here, just walk to a network provider shop and smile. They don't do what MTN does to us under hot sun. Theyll just give you the sim, you can then put a bundle and that's it.
I got my lycamobile sim from a shop, it was lying there like junk letters. I picked it up, took it home and bought a bundle, that's all.

All phones are useful here, these old guys still love their iPhone 4s, Its a beautiful phone, my sister recently replaced the 4s I gave her after using it for a year, I used it for 2yrs. The younger ones are the ones that go for the flashy phones. Older women love samsung. I dont know why. Sissy eko and few guys use the recent iPhones.
Refurbished phones are the way to get it cheaper and easily. You can order online or walk to the computer village in Dublin. Lol.

Thank you for the question, Dimaxy.

This is a pure breed, and it has good reputation in sports. I'm wrong about the cross breeding, seeing the dog walk isnt a pretty sight at all. It will look better running for which God created it.
The weather isnt favourable to this dog. It's one of the few dogs that wears jacket especially during the winter.

I came across something that I never believed I will see in a western world. That's the game I see my sisters play with my neighbors when we were younger. It's very common when we go to the village for our December flexing. I was kinda surprised actually. I saw something white adult folks that passed the markings do the dance by walking in the boxes in the number series.
It was fun tho.

That is one unusual dog, took a walk in the park today.
If I see that dog in my dream, I'll plead the blood of jesus. Very unusual, the way it moves with its legs like spider makes it look scary.

I'm an animal lover, I love dogs, I called my mum and did a video call with my dog in Nigeria which I miss so much. The dog just wanted to lick the phone thinking it's my face. It felt great for real, Nigeria parents just dont understand why I would want to interact with a dog via a phone.
The thing with this kind of dog is that they may have been crossed to get this kind of result, extreme cross breeding can bring great result and also terrifying consequences. Those Bulldogs or whatever breed you see with a face that look like Mike Tyson struck them a knockout punch. They're result of such. Such dogs have breathing problems which is a debilitating situation to be in. Can you imagine being tweaked by your creator till you cant take your daily breath in peace. Animal doctors end up euthanizing them.

Clothes!!!!!
Some of us like to go for new or worn clothes, I know Nigerians that will never buy anything used, from television to freezers, to microwave or those gas cookers. Sure I know they have their disadvantages like bedbugs in the used sofa, to getting an infection from using those things, to hidden problems that a car has that made the owner sell them but you should know that buying these items are great for the environment.

You save money and the extra new item that you buy will begin its deterioration to be thrown away. More new items that leaves the shelf, pressure is on the manufacturer to scatter the earth to get the resources to make more. In the end this leads to load and weights of waste that might choke that fish or when the fish eats them, the same fish ends up on our plates.

Theres no shame in buying a used Item. Personally i scour these shops in search of designers like a Prada coat, winter jackets and all. Before these shops put them on display, some of them are in top notch conditions. They may have only been worn once and all. If I could get a designer shoe for €300 and these shops can sell them for €20, I really dont mind.

You know what White people patronize these shops, infact, I volunteer in a shop like this and I can count how many blacks have walked in. I can say that I have never seen a Nigerian, the blacks all have some kind of non Nigerian accents and looks.

I know level must change, instead of buying new ones that will fade, Beware of Penny's. is it not cost-wise to buy quality ones that will last a lifetime. Personally when I was in Nigeria, I buy those clothes like Jean's and all at yaba and mandilas. But in this country, these Charity shops, that's the shop I've been talking about. I don't buy ordinary name, I look out for the big names like Nike, Hilfiger, Prada, Gucci and all in top conditions. I can not come n be shopping for normal clothes, that's my level changing. For now.
These shops have a spot where they keep Designers and all. As usual they attract higher price than other items which is not surprising. They will be displayed in the window display as the highlight.
I was able to buy a Hilfiger Denim jacket and students were looking at me thinking I bought it brand new with the Rip off price tag. The texture and the fit was great. It felt great, now I know why people get crazy about big names, It was my first designers. Forget about those designers we buy in Nigeria that dont last long, my igbo brothers did them. Not Nike or Gucci.

This reminds me of an incident that happened in Nigeria between my Dad and the mechanic that repairs and services my Dads vehicle. The man went to Ladipo in mushin Lga to buy the faulty part, my dad told him to buy the original unless he will loose it and return it. He went, bought it, came back n fixed it, we took the vehicle for evening service as we were coming back, the car developed the same issue and we parked by the roadside. My dad called him to report to the scene of his terrible workmanship. When he came and checked the damage. He immediately screamed and said "Na your brother do am, den don deceive me" my dad asked him which brother, he said our igbo brothers. My dad was weak, he just started laughing.

I even spotted a Nike sneakers, God save it, it was two unit lower than normal measurement.
In europe, we have famous Charity shops, like Oxfam, sightloss and the rest, how these charity organization make money is by selling the donations of people in their own shops to raise money for exploits. When you dont need anything, instead of dumping it in the dustbin, you take it to them, people donate all sorts of things like silverware, plates, clothes, shoes, arts, vintage items, clocks, books, kitchen stuff.
One man even brought SOFA, lol, where are we gonna keep that.
Laters.

Wetin we go call this one now?
Is it the white men ?

African own is food inside calabash, as if the gods are hungry. Maybe they're meant for the mad people and homeless people on the road. Even the mad man sef has the sense to cross road properly and skillfully. Have you ever seen a vehicle in Lagos knock down mad men?

I can remember in Lagos then, those Corp members from other regions, having heard about the Greatness of Lasgidi, some of them get scammed, part their legs for the military men hoping to get redeployed to lagos. Most of them get disappointed on the last day of camp.
Will you fight a military man.
A friend of mine paid three different people, two were scammers. The last one clicked and she went to lagos. Based on how she described it, she crosses the road like shes a thief. This is someone that has lived her entire life in the gentle part of Akure. If youre not sharp enough you get knocked down. Lagos traffic kills visitors alot. good thing is that one secures connection and all during your service year that will land them a great job.
Now you can imagine how a mad man will evade the traffic and a graduate cant, quite funny tho. We can then say that the mad man is more experienced than the graduate.

One thing that baffles me here is that, once your television has a fault and its beyond the warranty window, the TV no matter how minor the fault is going to the Bin. I have come across various items that are in full working condition that are thrown away, just because its obsolete, newer ones are out, the owners do away with them by donating them to charity shops that accepts electronics or straight in the bin outside.
Repair shops are very scarce, the manufacturer shops might charge you almost the cost of the item to fix it for you that's why they won't fix them.
The only item that have a repair shop which isnt very cheap is Phones. Every other items with a fault get thrown in the bin. Unless if the owner can fix it.
Before you can handle electronics to repair, you must have a certification.

We dont see food inside plate under the trees here, but rather in this land, you see contraptions and Technology under the tree. The only thing that worship them is the rain and the wrath of the Street cleaners.

You're welcome oooo, just direct the attention of those that want to go to Canada or USA, give them the option to weigh the benefits. Crime rate apart from bike theft is low. The little that is happening is due to the bad eggs from other countries that drink alot. Safety is a huge plus here.
