The election petition tribunal sitting in Makurdi, Benue State, yesterday nullified the elections of Senator George Akume of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on the grounds of electoral malpractices among other issues
Akume, the former governor of Benue State is representing Benue North West in the Senate.
The tribunal also nullified the election of Senator Joseph Akaagerger also of the PDP, representing Benue North East. Akaagerger was the military governor of Katsina State during the late Sani Abacha regime.

I am really disappointed with Mr Gbenga Obasanjo\'s washing of his family\'s dirty linens publicly.
You seem to have forgotten that there is a lot of anger and disatisfaction towards your dad\'s tenure as president,coupled with your sister\'s allegations.
What sort of uncontrollable anger is making you act out in this manner.

God forbid bad thing. In a country where people are managing to eat, some others are sitting on millions and billions of naira. My interest is not on who sleeps with who. God is using all these signs to clarify the urgent need for the probe of this most corrupt president and family. My position is that Obasanjo and all his siblings, fans and aides should be probed and our money gotten back for the country. If Yar\'adua is not willing, capable or afraid to do it, then he should immediately resign and pave way for a brave and bold president who has all it takes to repair this broken nation.
