Clifwoods: Someone reported my monicker here & one mod banned me for 3 days! Well, I have returned with good tidings.
It's what y'all already know. Barring any last minute change, SMS notification will come next week Wednesday in company of more alerts from KING ...
My oga who is among those that was retired last month, told me that out of the 5 people he recommended from the start of this recruitment, only I and one other person passed the CBT...& we equally did well in the interview as both scores were collated.
He said the process has been concluded and we should see what happens.. because anything can still happen, things can change!
He also emphasized that the process was largely on merit and high scorers were taken from required disciplines, depending on the number of slot allocated to that disciplines.
In all keep praying! If it's really your time, nothing can stop you. Please why did you laugh after writing 'King'. Any relationship on who pays you with APL |

If I quit my current job for NNPC, my immediate report is likely going to be promoted to take over my role. I may not be around to interview the person that will replace him.
But not really sure of this NNPC yet. If I get it, it will put me in serious dilemma.
Pay wise, it doesn't compare my current position, but NNPC offers more stability and security, and a bigger organization. I also prefer Abuja as a city to my current Lagos (even though moving to Abuja returns me to being a tenant). Another big pro of NNPC is, it could be a stepping stone to international energy bodies like OPEC which generally prefer people with NOC experience (compared to a relatively small oil company).
The principal reason I applied for NNPC was to get first hand info to use for my interview coaching side venture, but along the line, I found myself getting more serious as my friends that work there try to convince me.
The decision would have been very easy if I could be considered for managerial role (which is impossible as my years of experience is 11 as opposed to 18 years NNPC required) or SS1 supervisor (3 years before managerial position).
Insha Allah, when we get to the bridge. But as at today, the "don't take it" decision is still the stronger instinct.
By the way, as nobody is above regret email, if I don't get NNPC offer, makes the decision easiest.
I'm not one to asslick or be easily impressed, or even shower people with praise. But your humility, especially in this post, is outstanding 4 Likes |

Hello Everyone! I was scheduled for 9th July, 7am. We were only four present when the list was called for 7am to go meet our panelist. I was the third to be interviewed. I was invited into the room by the secretary, then offered a seat by the chief panelist. The chief panelist asked how was my journey from Lagos, and when I arrived into Abuja. Then each of the panelist introduced themselves, and I was asked to introduced myself in 30 seconds. I kept it short and simple , highlighting the necessary info I believed they wanted to here, and they nodded when I was done.
The first question was "from your CV, I can see you have a knowledge of database, views, and tables since you are a technology officer at xyz bank, tell us what is stored procedure in database" I explained what a procedure is and what "stored" meant and related it to database
The second question was "tell us a time when a colleague at work , wasn't doing their duty, how did you react" I answered in the direction of trying to know why the colleague wasn't doing their job and motivating the colleague in the way I could.
The third question, " Give me five safety precautions to take while driving on a rainy day" ****Use of wiper, Seatbelt, Driving at a reduced speed , traffic light, Use of pointer were my response.
The Fourth question, "from ur CV , you talked about disaster recovery on database, tell us a time when you recovered from a disaster" My response was to ask if they were talking about recovering from a work related disaster or life experience (personal) and they said a personal experience, I gave my response, while they noted certain things down on their papers.
Then I was asked by the chief panelist, if I had any question, I commended the whole recruitment process and asked the chief panelist "what would be his advise to a newly employed GT into the organization" He laid emphasis on being open minded. I was thanked for coming, and on my way out , the safety officer called me back for the famous handshake, lol.
I believe I did my best, praying to God for Success!
Wishing us all the best, irrespective of the outcome.
Almost the same set of questions except for your discipline-specific questions. Interviewed same time and date too. Panel 11 Chemical Engineering GT |

Well, "this whole week" can also be construed as "So far, since yesterday and today." That is to say, technically, his statement wasn't erroneous. Paying closer attention to the context of that writer's expression puts a question mark on your sarcastic, cynical comments. For instance, one can affirm, without risk of running into invalidity, that he/she hasn't eaten the whole or all day (today) at 4:00PM due to a laborious work schedule, in spite of the fact Monday is yet to elapse. Obviously, the reader's or listener's focus is basically drawn to the length of time, which in this case is the sentence's object referring to the subject.
Meanwhile, when I surf the internet, I notice with dismay how some netizens try so hard to make others seem unintelligent, even when unbeknownst to them they end up making either same or related mistakes. If you spot a grammatical error online and develop a linguistic need or scruple to correct, kindly do so without subtly querying the author's intelligence or descending to denigration. That minimizes the chances of the author taking it personal and constrains him/her to learn. Your point is safely driven home and the passenger takes note. You see, the final consequence is a win-win situation. Leemao Nothing wey we no go see for these streets 1 Like |

Guy, the premise on which your "shioory" was built is wrong. Applicants were not scheduled based on performance on CBT, rather on region of test location regardless of state of origin. July 1st applicants are mostly from Abuja and its environment, I guess this is due to nearness to point of interview. July 2nd applicants are mostly people of Kaduna and its environment, July 3rd are mostly of Kwara, Kogi or North Central in general, July 4th are people of Ondo or so, 5th are mostly Ibadan and Lag, 6th are mostly Lag and some Ibadan, and so on.... Note: it's based on region where applicants wrote the test, not their state of origin. And even on nairaland which is hardly up to 20% of the invited applicants, (that's roughly 2000) of which I even doubt. We've seen people whose locations are from all the region where the test was conducted being paid, including Abuja and Kaduna.
That a lot of July 6th are on Nairaland, may be because most people staying in Lagos that are applicants are on Nairaland, regardless of their actual state of origin.
However, the issue is, why the "MEMO" of "thank you" sent to NNPC staff after the payment of some applicants, and it seems the payments of the remaining applicants has stopped?
Note: All the NNPC staff or "connect" cannot know how the selected applicants will be done, in fact, aside the top Ogas of each subsidiary, and some selected few at NNPC Abuja towers, the remaining NNPC staff may not know jack.
So if your connect or "Sauce" is just ordinary Experience Hire in one subsidiary in Lagos, Kaduna, Delta, or PH, my brothers and sisters, they may just be giving us info based on what they think should be the right thing, or the normal practice. Aptly put 1 Like |

My theory: Lets assume 40% have gotten alerts and 60% got none. And based on the gist of the SMS sent to NNPC staffs. And considering the Interviewers are there to Recommend (R) or Not Recommend (NR) potential employees It is safe to assume based on common sense that the people NR are like 40% of the entire interviewed persons. They have already been compensated with Tfare first ("EXEMPTED" theory from flowolff) And with the collation of result starting based on d "sms guy source", it is fair to say they are now dealing with only the recommended folks to sort out the ones they want. After this weeding, another batch of alerts will be sent out to the unsuccessful ones. And finally to successful ones. Thereby legitimizing the various sources that everybody will eventually receive alerts. Note: the cocococyam guy's theory does not hold because dates of invites were sent out based on your exam region. North cental being first on Monday 1st, not based on some best in CBT nonsense. Important question o. Does FRSC pay 4 million upfront? Do they pay 13th month?
When I did my I. T at PPMC in 2013, my Oga then, the then operation superintendant kept lamenting and gingering the junior staff to be serious with their job because if any get query and gets sacked, that the village people will disown them for playing with such opportunity, being an NNPC staff.
BOTTOM LINE, allow people to express themselves in any way here because this Job, God willing, is one of a life time achievement. No mind her she think say na joke we com joke for here |

I had my interview on Tuesday , all my Panel members were old senior men of NNPC. Not a single smile came from their mouth. One even dozed off till it was his turn to ask question. As just a GT hopeful, they fired me from every angle, Nothing like define, or what do you understand by.., maybe they knew I was super prepared for that type. Introduce yourself (they didn't even introduce themselves first , guess I'm not worth that honour to them). Describe a time when.......? Tell me the problems you encountered during.........? 3 quick dangerous questions about my relevance to nnpc Where will you like to be posted? A safety question which I answered 4/5 of And lastly, the chairman asked if I intend to stay with them or I'm using them as a stepping stone judging from my file All in all it was a good experience and I hope God favours me in this recruitment. See you all at the towers during induction (with faith) 16 Likes |
