My Banga stew recipe.

Ingredients: Palm fruits(banga), smoked fish, meat, onion, salt, ehuru, seasoning, scent leave, pepper, and crayfish.

First, wash the palm fruits and cook for 30+mins. Sieve the water from the palm fruit and pour the palm fruits into morta and pound. Pound until it's all smashed and you could see oily particles. After pounding, add hot water to the fruits and Sieve so you could remove the chaff from the oily banga water. Pour the banga oily water into your cooking pot and boil. Allow it to boil so the water level will dry up.

While waiting for the banga to boil, wash your meat, put it in a pot, add onion, salt(to taste), and seasoning. Put it on fire and allow to dry and add little quantity of water to it. Then cover and allow to steam.

While the two are cooking, quickly wash and cut the scent leaf. Also use hot water to wash the smoked fish. Then, grind your pepper and crayfish.

Now check the banga by steering it. If it's thickening, then it's OK.

Now add the steamed meat, followed by the washed smoked fish. Add the grinned pepper & crayfish, and steer. Allow to boil and then add salt, seasoning to taste and ehuru . Allow to boil for like 40seonds now add the scent leaf and cook for 30 seconds.

And that's it, voila! Bon Appétit.

Hell NO!!! This is exactly the problem am facing this morning. Got frozen chicken breast from the store, but my family are insisting on a life one to kill. But the problem is that am the only guy in the house, so most definitly they will be expecting me to kill it when they get it. But i cant which they all know. Cant even stand the sight of one being killed! Watch them kill a chicken? Thats a whole week trauma and starvation!

Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has been announced as the winner of the Abia Central Senatorial seat in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries by polling 221 votes of the 222 votes cast with one voided vote.

He was the sole contestant for the position.

Announcing the results at the end of the primaries held at the Umuahia Township Stadium, the returning officer, Ndidi Okereke said a total of 222 delegates were accredited while there was one void vote.

Speaking at the occasion, Orji thanked God and all Abians who were instrumental to the success of the project.

He said that he was happy with the victory, affirming that the decision to go to the Senate is not his making as he was merely responding to the call of Abians to represent them at the Senate.

Orji pointed out that Abians have demonstrated their love in practical terms through their vote, adding that the process of democracy in the state has been deepened through the process.

He said that things will be better if all elections in the country went the same way the Abia Central senatorial primaries was conducted.

The Governor maintained that as a senator, he would see himself as a representative of the people, adding that he owes the people a duty to speak for the people and pledged not to disappoint the people.

A Russian airplane intercepted by Nigerian authorities Saturday on its way to neighbouring Chad, was transporting a large cache of AK47s and bullet proof vests, and other items, the News Agency of Nigeria has reported. Security operatives at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, on Saturday seized the plane which landed at the airport at about 2a.m. as a result of technical problems. Crew members of the airplane have been detained while investigations are ongoing, NAN quoted a source as saying. “Security has since been beefed up at the airport in order to ensure proper investigation,” the source said. The general manager of communication, Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Yakubu Datti, confirmed the seizure of the plane. He said the pilot sought permission to land at the airport after the plane developed problems. “The plane had a technical problem and the pilot sought (for) permission to land at the airport’’, he said. Mr. Datti said security agencies had since commenced investigation into the matter. Security sources told PREMIUM TIMES the plane was travelling to N’djamena, the capital of Chad. A spokesperson for the Nigerian military, Chris Olukolade, could not be reached on Saturday for comments. The spokesman of the Joint Military Task Force in Kano, Col. Eze, did not also respond to telephone calls. The Police spokesperson in Kano, Magaji Majiya, said details of the arrest could only be provided by the airport security. Competent security sources confirmed that the aircraft and crew are under protective custody pending conclusion of investigation. This is the third time since 2009 that a Russian plane loaded with arms would
