Latrezz:
Good day everyone
Please I need your candid advice, my flight is scheduled to be on Saturday 31st of this month and my agent asked me to pay for accomodation before getting there but the amount he requested for is much for now because there is curfew so we ain't allowed to move around, what now baffled me is the exchange rate he said
He said one dirham is 130naira
Which wen I checked it is 103naira and I get an Aboki who do d biz so he asked me to pay 105 per dirham
My question is:-
Is it a must to pay upfront?
Can I get the accomodation so easy if I go there with my money?
Am moving to Sharjah pls help a fellow brother

Don’t depend on any AGENT! I repeat, DONT DEPEND ON ANY AGENT!!! Change you money where the rate is favorable for you and fly to UAE. When you get there look for bed space, it isn’t a rocket science. Most of you that depend on agent are the ones that ends up in the street! You most not know anyone to succeed in a foreign land. Search for African bed space on uae bed space and apartment for rent on Facebook. The so called agents are the problem we have here in UAE. Don’t let anyone misguide you please. If your looking for a job, there’re are currently few openings in uae, I recommend Abu Dhabi. And when you get there, have it in mind that you’re not here for skyscrapers nor beautiful scenes, but for work to make money to foot your bills. Meaning don’t restrict yourself to only jobs in city. Go to western region(al Dhafra), and Al Ain, there’re are so much vacancies there.

My one cent to you

Let's blame Buhari for the crime perpetrated by ipob miscreants across the globe.

Why are you this Tribally blind Must everything boil down to tribalism to you? Here abroad, nobody know Hausa, Igbo, or Yoruba, all they know is that you are a “Nigerian “ and that’s it.
Purge yourself of hate before it consumes YOU!

This is not encouraging at all to the stranded Nigerian Nationals abroad. Where the hell do you except those guys whom has been out of work for over 5 months to get #50,400 to pay upfront for some lame COVID-19 test before arrival?
These are the few reasons most Nigerians are still staying illegally in many countries.
From Frankfurt international airport I landed in Dubai international airport and a free COVID-19 swab test Was done on arrival as a resident of UAE, not even a citizen.
Then why should Nigeria charge it’s nationals for the same test they get free in another mans land?

Am just confused on what’s happening to Nigeria with all these and that budgets!

Bro. I wan ask you a question jare , Is the annual leave a must for everyone working in UAE. And perhaps, if it is, what's the terms of the leave, perhaps , one intends to travel to his home currently for an occasion on the annual leave. And how many days is it, who covers the expenses, flight and is salary also paid aswell. Thanks.

Will answer the ones I know.
Annual leave depends on your contract (limited or unlimited).
Some organizations offer ticket, while some will find a way to rag you around it.
It’s not mandatory for you to travel to your home during an annual leave, but you’ll still be paid your basic salary for that month (not including allowances).
Let me break it down a bit;
Basic salary: 3600AED
accommodation allowance: 1400 AED
Transport allowance: 1000 AED
Total salary =6000AED.
During your leave, you’ll only be paid your basic salary, in this case scenario is: 3600 AED, for the month you were on leave.

No, which type of account is best? For a salary earner

Dubai Islamic(DIB) savings account (al islami banking or something like that).
Go with the following:
*salary certificate
*your international passport hard copy, with your resident visa stamp on it.
*your Emirates ID
*and 500aed, opening deposit.

It doesn’t take up to 15mins, after which they will issue you a salary transfer certificate to take to your company for salary payment.

Note: you’ll charge you 26.5aed monthly if you don’t maintain the minimum balance of 3000aed, and 5dhs monthly for sms chargers (that’s if you subscribe, but it’s advisable you do..)

You know how much monthly WiFi cost after the first free 2 months in some cases? Bro, no dey drag this issue make people no dey look you somehow na. There is WiFi in dubai but not free, data is cost 50mb for #500

Chairman, no need of quoting me sir. If you pay for house in UAE, you are entitled to the WiFi access cause it's included in your bill sir, except in the case of an unfurnished apartment, that is still new, which is in rare cases. Almost every mall in UAE, has free WiFi access. Maybe the issue in your case was not been tech savvy . If you're in UAE as you claim sir, go to corniche Ajman, centerpoint, browse as you want, if in Dubai I don't even know which to mention cause that one too much, or just board Dubai metro redline maybe from union to ibn batutta and enjoy free du internet access on your journey. Then here in Abu Dhabi, it's almost everywhere as well, from taxi to mall and parks... Sharjah, visit safeermall and and other malls and parks as well... I can go on and on. Just verify or ask questions of how is done, perhaps people wey know road for put you through. Every if these spots I mentioned has a landing page that once you connect, you'll have to verify by phone number or email. Very simple and easy process.

Oga whoever you are... No one here can stop anyone from travelling. The guy you have been quoting is only advising based on his experience. You also have the right to share your own positive encounters.

Bless you brother, don't mind him nor waste your precious time on him. You see, that's one thing I despise in most Nigerian youths, they don't learn from anything. They as well, attack any advice that counters their opinion, instead of picking out one or two sense from it and apply it to their next move. Most of them don't even carry-out their research before visiting any country, they just join the bandwagon of where it's happening now. Some don't even know that it's illegal to drink alcohol here in any form and that's why it's not sold. Yet when they arrive, they indulge in the services of the street urchins who give them the impression that "nothing dey happen", even CID dey come here drink, and at the end of the day, they get arrested and town into jail! Like NONNYG said sometime, nobody is holding anyone back from coming to UAE, cause some people will always twist your advice to their own negative perspective! Yes, most of us are living good, and doing well. But can you pay the price?? You're still asking if 600k will be enough to cover ticket, visa, accommodation, and job placement (I see your failure already), yet you're talking about luck, prayer, and grace(who did this to our youths?). It's like waiting for a plane in a bus station. You have your God, they have theirs, they don't believe in yours same way you don't believe in theirs, so how do you expect your own God to overcome theirs and grant you their luck and grace? It's common sense. Be prepared, if you have 2-3million, you can move here, get you EID, get an apartment and start a life! Not decivng yourself of succeeding where others didn't cause you believe in God with 600k!!! Una don see us wey no Sabi God. Some will be chanting the only thing they know, "come back na". Mumu people, how can someone who has investment over here come back? Some that are even begging you not to come yet you're tell them to come back, can't even pay their overstay penalties cause it's amounting to millions already and you can never ever exit the country without paying, while some don't even have return ticket.... In fact jare I rest my case. Who no go, no go know.

I read this your comment severally before I came into conclusion, yes I know Nigeria name is bad in the international scene, but why are you sounding like you have personal thing against those asking how's life over there? Do you think it is easy anywhere? Why did u travel if it was easy for you here in Nigeria? And why are you still there if it is not favoring you? If you can't tell us hoe life over there is, please allow those who want to, the essence of this thread is to help and make it prepared. E do biko

Oga sir, I run a good chain of businesses here, from bedspace to cargo and other stuff. Dude, I was once like you, but learnt my lesson the hard way. Now let me give you a little hint, I left Canada sometime back, married my British fiancé..... Had options of moving to UK, but I chose UAE for the sweet offers I got from agent that swindled me huge amount of money. Long story short, my only Savoir was my family, all the people I stayed with all left for Nigeria in worse shape than they came, some ended up in prison Oga make I ask you, can you do construction work under 41 degrees Celsius for 12hrs? Before I was able to fit in this country, it took me 7 months of smart work, 2 visa changes of 2400AED each, and close to 15,500AED for business! Now where do you expect someone that sold everything they had back home before coming here to get such amount from? If you can do hard labour under tough weather conditions and pressure, abegi o, na beg I dey beg, please stay back home! Don't come here to add to the number of Nigerian nuisance we already have on the streets of UAE. Please

Good morning sir. I gave up on this trend a long time ago. Because I've learnt that once you give a black man an honest advice, mostly Nigerians, they tag you an enemy of progress. I refused not to reply anyone that quotes me. Like I said before and will keep saying, if you don't have money, when I mean money, I mean reasonable amount of money to do business here, please just hold your peace and stay back. Yes it not easy anywhere, but it's best you have a roof over your head, than hanging around on the streets of a foreign land. But you guys will not hear and learn from other people's mistakes. My friend, you see that thing you call luck, just keep that shit far away while making you're move on traveling abroad. All those mystical and religious shit doesn't work here. Smart work with hard work are two different things. Also have it in mind that most jobs here now require you pay for your visa now, non does visa for Nigerians anymore.

I argue the guy collect 100AED we begin March.
Met with Harry and other guys in a house which I believed was Harry's only when night reach na Harry tell me say make I bring 60AED for bedspace Ò. Just to sleep! Na so life start the next day wey reality visit me, me and one guy begin waka for town unto I get work na make Harry just carry me go there make them Oga see my chest.

Come back to Nigeria if Dubia is hard. Am sure people told u the same u are telling them now but u still left. Am cork sure that u haven't sent 3 years there and lamentations have been on uae for few years now. Stop being an hypocrite, u ain't their creator, our destinies are different. What u are destined to fail in some are destined to be super successful. Ur failure is not their failure. Understand that fact about life. My advice to prospective travellers is to be very prayerful. When u call him sincerely, he will prove all mockers and those waiting for ur doom wrong.

Blah..blah...blah.... Cry baby, we ain't here to exchange words, neither to insult each other. But you see that your prayer, fasting, and destiny stories, its when you travel to UAE that you'll know that advanced countries ain't like the shit hole where you deceive yourselves with that. Nnanna, if you want to come to UAE for menial job, please f-ing come and stop quoting ME! I only gave you guys my 25fils of advice. Enter plane come to UAE, you'll fast and pray for 87 days and still go for visa change. I just hate certain things about Nigerians, you guys don't listen, you believe anyone that gives you the right advice doesn't mean good for you. Don't come to UAE without proper preparation! Dude f** your fasting and praying if you ain't well prepared. Las Las you go join the multitude expecting another visa amnesty by 2020. Oga am not working here, I own business here. I know wetin I don take eye see for my brothers here. UAE currently is not even 80:20% to me, I see it more as 98:02%. Who no go no know. Dey Una dey Una no go hear. Everybody wants to enter plane and travel obodo oyibo. Oya Na, nobody hold Una o.

Go to Dubai industrial area, and see our brothers doing marble production work meant for machines or at least 50 persons, you'll see them crying and begging for assistance to retrieve there passport and go home. Some work at construction sites, under 48 degrees sun from 6-6 with just 1hr break on top all the hard labor. 23 persons, packed inside a room without proper ventilation.

Abeg make person no dey quote me cause I no say make Una no come here, all of you shouting"come back home if you're suffering" I hear Una, but prosperity will never fail to judge you guys when you get there and suffer same thing and lament about anything.

Rubbish!!! Who dey beg Una abi advice Una again sef, nonsense!!!

The best way to support your advice is for those who say UAE is hard, they are suffering in UAE, Nigeria is better than UAE, etc. to pack and return to Nigeria. Then, you won't have to keep saying it, everyone will believe.

Your hustle is different from another. If it doesn't work for one person doesn't mean it won't work for another. Allow everyone experience it and decide for themselves. There is no minsing words when it comes to the current hardship in Nigeria. And many have tried to point y'all to the situation of things in Nigeria if it's been long you left Naija.

More than 85% of people making the move don't have any job in Nigeria. They're either being sponsored or using their life's savings. Another 10% probably have jobs with very low pay, say less than N50k per month. 3% are possibly undecided or those who just wanna leave Naija by all means or probably just excited about going abroad. And the 2%? Obviously professionals who can compete favorably in UAE; some, like most of my friends, may have even already gotten a job in the UAE before leaving Naija.

If someone had told you not to go when you did yours, would you have listened?

Hypothetically, life in UAE is tough; You're better off investing the money you wanna waste for visa in Nigeria; A N100k job in Nigeria is better than N150k job in UAE; etc. Then, could y'all just return to Nigeria and invest what you've saved so far or get yourself that N100k job? At least to prove your claims or heed to your own advices.

We are Nigerians! We are survivors!! Across the globe, Nigerians have strived, thrived and survived. Even in the America, Europe, Asia, etc., it's not all rosy for Nigerians. Few or even some still struggle.

Truth be told, I only read your first paragraph, and need not say more. Please stop asking us salary of this, salary of that, how possible is it to get this, and how possible is it to get that job. The truth still remains that nobody, I repeat, nobody will ever give you a comprehensive answer to that. Read from page one to where we are now, you'll read people asking same questions repeatedly and still get the same answer. Bro, I've seen situation here, were some that came into UAE and under 10 days lands a job! And some getting to 6months now without job, thereby staying illegally and accumulating overstay charges. Some have gone for visa change over and over and over still no job, some fall into the hands of dubious al-babs who promise them jobs and end up not doing visa for them, nor pay them. The rate of scam here by our fellow country men is alarming. In fact if I begin type everything here, e no go contain. Therefore, if Una still one come without proper preparation, don't be my guest! Just don't add to bad name we have here already, just come try luck, if your visa kalas, abeg waka! No go begin sell drink o. CID now don dey disguise as customers sef. Diera (Dubai)and Al-karama (Ajman)Na bad news o. Make I just stop here now.

In my opinion, I think its best we stop advising all these prospects not to come to UAE. I see most of them now sees us as E.P! If you want to come to UAE please, get your visa, pack your bags, buy your ticket, and enter plane. Biko, I just have one thing to beg, don't come here and add to the numbers of "street urchins" we have here already that has made it practically impossible for the name "Nigeria" to sound right in the ear of any foreigner here! Abeg e don do sef, them they beg Una make Una no come here suffer, Una think say na bad them dey do Una. If you have money to do business, come, buy goods and go. Do that over and over till you build better statement of account and travel his, then migrate to another country. Leave UAE if you're coming here to hustle without a professional certificate. Biko nu, dododo, I dey beg.

My right nipple starting hurting since yesterday afternoon. I paid it no mind as I thought it would soon pass.

But this morning, while taking my bath, it hurt so bad that I felt something coming out, I squeezed it and blood mixed with a whitish fluid was coming out.

I called my boss quickly to tell him I won't be coming to work on Monday cos I'll be going to the hospital first thing that day but the nipple discharge that happened is making me scared as hell. Google gives very scary result about the situation.

What could be the cause?
PS: I'm a 24 year old male

It will be best you visit a hospital. You ain't gonna get anything reasonable here (cause majority of people here are too childish), imagine some insinuations, pregnancy, cancer, anal sex.....WTF? Are you guys alright? If you don't know anything about something, its best you keep shut and stop embarrassing your linage. Meanwhile, OP you need to visit a hospital, the doctor with run some test, from series of scan to FNAC. Please bear it in mind that the FNAC is the most painful medical examination (in my opinion tho), and if you score anything between C3-C5, it's advised you go for open biopsy. In my case I had a subcutaneous mastectomy at once and returned to clinix gbagada with the specimen for histopathology, and at the end it was mastitis!

So don't just conclude cause you're not the first nor the last. Am even contemplating running another test on the right breast cause am starting to feel same sharp pain, lump, and discharge from it as it was on the left 4yrs ago before I had the surgery.

Just don't be scared ok? Just visit your nearest hospital, I believe you'll be fine.
